This song was sung by Floor in self defence (she has a little daughter.) Freja is now 6. This was filmed during Covid lockdown in her home studio. Her husband Hannes was the camera man (for all her lockdown covers.) In fact, I don't think you've met Fenris yet? This is a 20 minute doco about Hannes and Floor needing to make more space in their garage. (Floor shows up about 11.45.) Fenris is the Irish wolfhound (still only a tiny 16 week old puppy) before he grew to the size of a minivan. ruclips.net/video/lJW6-PC-sKo/видео.html Freja is also showing signs of becoming a giantess!
I'm 74 and this is one of my favorite Floor covers. I've heard it a millions times and still do. I've had 4 granddaughters, youngest is 3.5. She adores this song and Wacken 2013 Storytime.
You are right...... The legend goes like this: One day Freya asked HER: Mom, can you make this song better? The GODDESS: Hannes, darling, can you please hold my whiskey?............ And there is a fan-made vid, synchronised with the movie.... The lady that made it said: Once I found the beginning there was nearly nothing to do to synchronise........
7 year old Granddaughter loves Floors version of this rather than the original .... this and "Elan live in buenos aires" are her favorites . Love the " shes gonna eat this for breakfast , this song doesnt stand a chance " ! Have a very happy 4th celebrating qith the family brother .
Floor did this for Freya, her daughter, who is a big fan of the Disney film 😄. But yeah, Disney should contact Floor to cover one (or more) of their movies.
There are so many amazing dimensions to Floor: The singer, the songwriter, the performer, the person, the daughter, the wife, the mother. I realize that social media content rarely shows the "bad" side of anyone, and I'm sure that Floor is not perfect (who is?). However, the glimpses she gives into her personal life via some of the videos on her YT channel and her other social media outlets paint a picture of a humble and grounded person that is a far cry from many, many others with far less talent. What probably impresses me the most is that she is not embarrassed whatsoever with the public seeing her with little or no makeup.
Damn - now I am going to hum this song for the rest of the day !! You know - when Floor made this song, she told us, that her daughter Freja had been going around in the house for months singing this song, driving her and Hannes nuts. So she said with a smile: ' Now it is your turn '😂 And she was right. This was one of the earlier songs, her and Hannes made in the new homestudio - therefore the sound is not perfect. Later on she makes some pretty awesome covers, soundwise (even the song to the song contest were made in her homestudio - a duet with Henk Port also - and the fabulous ending of 'Shoemaker' !!!!! (which you haven't reacted to yet - but now you know where it was created, because Floor wasn't satisfied with the version from the professional studio!!!)
You know when someone says, “I would listen to her sing the phone book? Well they did that to her on a Dutch tv programme. Floor was a good sport and did it and of course it was great.
This song and other ones she recorded at home during corona as well as some songs from Beste Zangers were performed by Floor and the Marcel Fisser band in Afas Live, Amsterdam, late 2021. Crowd-funding made it possible to record a video of the whole concert and that material is available on Floors official RUclips channel.
You said in your reaction of Que Se Siente that it's amazing that she is killing it and Spanish isn't her native language, well Neither is English 😮. Though most Dutch people I have met speak English better than I do and I am English. This is my favourite version of this song but Floor often does my favourite version of a song!!!!
Here's a suggestion for your Floor Solo Rabbit hole: Do ALL the Beste Zangers performances, ALL the pandemic covers, be introduced to her 2 previous bands After Forever and ReVamp and her side Rock project Northward (along w/ more Ayreon) THEN you could do a LIVE premiere of Floor's recorded Afas, Amsterdam sold out Solo show that she crowdfunded and the fans made it happen!!!! And there's STILL her first Solo CD My Paragon, you'll have NO shortage of Floor Jansen trust me!!!!!
There is no end to her talents. The attached link shows Floor singing a Puccini Aria in a Dutch show some years back. The audience have no idea who she is and appear non-plussed when she is introduced as a metal singer. She then of course pulls out a stunning operatic performance. There are subtitles available in English. ruclips.net/video/Od_qcbw3f5Q/видео.html
First: Floor did this song for her daughter (who is a massive Frozen fan), actually...Floor did Frozen 2 cover as well !!! Second: Leo Moracchioli is AWESOME !!!! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
Because it had been amongst her very first cover songs, there had been some critics about the song mixing. So her husband published a new-mixed version, although mostly unnoticed due to YT-algorythms. Did you choose that re-mastered version of that song ? - No you don't, else the insert would have been different! She sung those songs in her husband's semi-professional barn-studio 😉.
Maybe they already told you. But there is a video that shows you an ad in a random phone book and you sing it. Also listen to the cover adagio. Greetings
Some random lad turned up at Britain's got talent and said he was going to sing this song. Amanda Holden who is one of the judges loved this cos she has young daughters who love frozen. She pressed her red button when he decided to do it in death metal style. She wasn't impressed at all m8. Good tv and worth a watch lol
Not much you can say about this that's already been said by you. So I'll give you a recommendation - Floor did a Collaboration album with Jorn Viggo Lofstad - they called themselves 'Northward' and the song I recommend is 'While Love Died' - it's basically Rock , but of the heavy kind - please do cover it if you want to see Floor at her sassiest best😊 Take good care of yourself. David from across the pond! 😊 NB. I keep forgetting to mention the next Ayreon song. Definitely 'Everybody Dies' live - and it's so difficult to perform too!
Add Yannis Papadopoulos to your watchlist, he's the lead singer of Beast in Black and does cover songs including this one on his own channel, He is also friends with Nightwish and opened for them.
Great again ❤ Maybe you could do a song from her own album - „Fire“. But it’s a little bit difficult to favor the original music video (ruclips.net/video/Utz4gFG3HF8/видео.html) or a live session - very small but also high quality (ruclips.net/video/rqwHMgo_DdQ/видео.html) „Fire" can be seen as a metaphor for the challenges and struggles we encounter in life. It represents the moments when we feel overwhelmed, consumed, or on the verge of giving up. However, the song reminds me that even in the darkest times, we have the strength within us to ignite our own inner fire and persevere. It is an anthem of strength and determination, inspiring individuals to embrace their inner fire and find the courage to overcome any challenges they may face.
It's just unfair for all those other hard working singers, but they just can't match Floor Jansen. So I hope people just never compare them to her, because they're not going to survive that. They just don't stand a chance.
i gotta say i enjoy Leo Moracchioli too. one of my favourite covers by him is 'Listen to your Heart' by Roxette ruclips.net/video/jH-FK2RmZBo/видео.html

What you've heard from Floor so far is all 'modern' music - how about a song from 1918 for a change? Then you should listen to Floor with the opera aria by Giacomo Puccini 'O mio babbino caro'.
she did this for one reason ........because its her young daughters favorite song ...now thats motherhood
yeap, even said that disney does not treat well artists...
This cover was chosen because her daughter loved the song!
What a mum!!!!
Her daughter was singing it all the time.
Her cover of Lara Fabian's song "Adagio" will blow your socks off

Well man, now you HAVE TO do her version of "Into the unknown" from Frozen 2....even better 🤘
Totally better...only Floor can out do Floor :)
I concur!

She is so good I haven't heard anything of her's that I haven't loved.🎉
the version you did was the old version she has a remastered version too with better sound. great reaction. her solo album paragon is amazing. 🥰
I left a link to the Remastered one 🤷🏼♂🤷🏼♂🤷🏼♂

Glad you reacted to it. In my humble opinion. Into The Unknown is better
She's not only singing, she is acting ❤

She doesn’t want to work with Disney.
@@ToTheWolves Ah, okay, thanks. I didn't know that, but understandable.
@@ToTheWolves I do not know if that is true
Floor is unbelievable, whatever she covers…..she owns it….😊
She's amazing, there's nothing she can't sing, yet she's humble about it and yes, she's having a lot of fun :)
This FROZEN song is the most requested but I prefer "INTO THE UNKNOWN". You should give it a go, Daniel.

I feel you with me the amount of times I sat through SHREK AND TOY STORY WITH MY GRANDKIDS WOW BUT LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!!
I think you are the first reactor to see her eyebrow🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤
Floor did this song because her young daughter kept singing it all the time after seeing rthe disney movie. So Floor decided to make her own version.
Seeing her sing this live is amazing!
Floor's videos helped so many of us survive the boredom and depression of the Covid pandemic. She deserves an award for her channel.
Legend has it there was three foot of snow from a clear blue sky outside the studio......

Leo Moracchioli is definitely awesome also, the way he makes classic rock or pop songs metal. I'd like to see him do a collab with Floor on anything.

Music at Floors covers is from Tommy Johansson, swedish metal wonder. Be prepared when you seek him, its like 🤯😳🥰🥰🥰
Well done as usual sir. One of Floor's side projects you'll like is Northward and the track While Love Died, it's a banger! Cheers!

Disney meets Metal!
I think this was done in her studio at home. That looks like the mic she uses.
Floor = Cheat mode
The only way to listen to a Disney song is for Floor to sing it. 😊 Leo is histerical so best comedy version im sure.
