IIRC the holy grail was a 1998 12 valve 5 speed 4x4 2500 quad cab with the short bed. Factory short bed being the odd ball and rare thing since the rest of the years and trucks all had long beds. Everyone has their own version of options they like and consider a holy grail truck though.
Great to see someone talk a little about the P7100. Would be nice to know what changes like delivery valve changes etc. great video though can’t wait to see next update
Look forward to seeing the finished product. I want a 6 speed manual but that just me . If you don't mind is it 4.1 or 3.54 gears . So look forward to seeing how it tows with a lower stall . One thing that I have wondered how the lower stall effects the brakes as sitting a stop light with the low stall trying to pull the truck forward . I could put up with that I guess for a better fluid coupling . And see some rpm drop at gear shifts . I guess that is a 913 pump p pump
I have a g56 in my toe pig, it’s nice but for hotroding around town that’s a lot of gears to tow through. I have the same low stall converter in my shawty, sure it try’s to creep a little at idle, but I haven’t been able to notice a difference between it and any of the other trucks I’ve test driven. The truck has 3.54’s.

The 12v's are the best in my opinion. I have a 96 with compound turbos it tows great. The only problem is the 2nd gen truck they just ride rough. I was a f350 of f450 with a 6speed and the 12v
I’d love to clarify the turbo set up. You’ll probably do that in a later video. It sounded like you said a 60/67 with an S 400 on the manifold, just sounded backwards…
@@ProjectNotSoSlow I like 12vs because you feel connected to the pump, and they rattle takes me back to my childhood. I just hate how expensive they are to purchase.
What valve springs would you recommend for a 2008 Ram 3500 Dually 6.7 Cummins with stock bottom end and stock head with S366/S478 Compounds ? I want to do push rods and valve springs at same time. @@Jc_my_12valve when you deck the piston you make the bowl smaller. These started out with a 44.5cc bowl, but with a .075 cut off the top now have a 40.5cc bowl. Combine that with the extra displacement, it should be right around 19:1
Too much compression. Need to reduce compression in your cylinders to clean up that smoke. Hate to say it but with that 6.7 crank you may need a custom domed head or find a way thicker head gasket that works with your fire rings.

18* timing at idle? 24* at high idle?
It’s more to do with engine horse power, it’ll cruise at 18* but slowly advance to 24 at full throttle.

Please do a video on what it takes to put a 6.7 crank in a 12 valve
Nothing with factory rods. Some clearancing required with billet rods

Pretty sure a rack plug will just allow for so additional travel in the rack at WOT I don't think it alters the timing at all. Could be wrong

Whats going on with that 4bt head in the background in the first minute of the video?
Ported pdd heads
How hard is it to throw a 6.7 crank in? Modify your piston length and let her eat? I wonder how a 6.1L VP truck would be,
Not hard. You just machine the pistons down. A 6.7 crank vp44 would be a torque monster!
Because 12Valve is all mechanical that’s one good reason
What do you have to do to run a 6.7 crank?
Did he use one of pdd Cnc ported heads? What exhaust housing on the 472 sxe?
Stock ported 12v head. 1.25 t4 on the 472
Thanks buddy
