My dude, this is so helpful... thank you! I have been searching so many rail sites and have been having trouble figuring out which trains are what, and this cleared it up. The plan is to take a Trenitalia from Turin to Ventimiglia, then hop on the SNCF train to Nice. Cheers!
That should work just fine! Have a great trip :-)
THANK YOU ! THIS VIDEO SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY! I WAS GOING VENEZIA-MILANO-GENEVA-VENTIMIGLIA without knowing I could do it from Venezia!! love you.. all reserved although not that cheap lol anyway accomodation in milano and geneva was TOO expensive
Happy it was helpful
Done this trip in the opposite direction during summer hols. A far better alternative to driving. Safer, quiter and much more enjoyable.
Totally agree thanks for sharing!
How long is the trip?
@@cesarmelendez1900 roughly 4 hours.
Lots of Bikes at Milano Centrale, cool...! That was interesting, a slow train, but reliable and usuful for the locals. Good.
Very helpful... Grazie!
Good video!
Same old Trenitalia boarding shitshow as normal lol. I've only ever done this route on Thello, so never had most of this faff :-) Good video tho mate!
Having Thello return would be real nice on this route 😌
@@Simon-Andersen I wish. Ventimiglia-Nice with just one stop in monaco. It’s a dream!!
4:47 What happened to the lights?
Not sure tbh it's been a while since I rode this train 😅
@@Simon-Andersen ok 👌
The Frecciabianca trains are not bothered to be renewed as they will be sorted out in the short future :)
Good but to short, I wish that it was longer play?
Do they check your visas when you board to the second train? I want to go to Italy, however I’m expecting the residence card here in France so I can’t leave the country
They did not when i went, but spot checks can happen. They were doing spot-checks for covid documentation :)
They check only from Italy to France, not France to Italy. However, if you don’t have a Visa going back to France, you might get stuck in Italy ahah
how if from cannes france train station to venice italy?
where's the luggage space in first class , because i have to big luggage and cannot put on overhead , what do you recommend?
Yes there is some storage racks at the end of each carrige, also in first
@@Simon-Andersen ok good to know,Thank your for replying
Thank you for a informative video. How can I pre-book French regional train online please?
Use www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ however all regional trains cannot be booked online :-)
@@Simon-Andersen Does this mean you have to buy a ticket at the station upon arrival?
@@chrisbarrett9311 No you can use SNCF connect app or website to buy a ticket for the trains from Ventimiglia, its just not all french trains that are in it yet
@@Simon-Andersen Thank you for the clarification! Appreciate it!
From Vetnimiglia to france did you have to show Covid tests?
No
What is the date of the video?
Its from May 2022
@@Simon-Andersen ok! Thanks!
Hi there,
Thanks for video - this is helpful! How long do you think you’ll need to transfer to the next train to France? Just checking if 20mins is enough otherwise, next train is 40mins! TIA!
The transfer only takes a few minutes so if the train is ontime from Italy it's more than enough. I would probably leave 40 min if you have another connection to make afterwards as Italian trains aren't the most punctual
@@Simon-Andersen thanks so much for responding!! That’s super helpful! I’ve booked the later train! Thanks again!
Hahah sus 🎉
