Does the sugar negate the health benefits ? Because sugar is so bad for us and these use sooo much sugar to make the syrup

I don’t think that it negates the health benefits but I would also use it sparingly just like any other syrup. Syrups are definitely high in sugar! And to make a soda drink is definitely a treat. But if you use it to sweeten a nettle tea or a more nourishing tea blend, I think it would complement nicely.

@@EarthseedDetroit ok thank you..this will be my 3rd attempt...I watched other videos and used their recipes but the one I made turned to hard candy because I was trying to see if the pinecones would soften to eat like they said but it never did...then I tried making syrup with swerve sugar, that didn't work so now I'm gonna try yours with raw cane sugar...lol wish me luck..I'm also going to add a stick of cinnamon while it steeps for a little more color and added flavor
