I love my Sheridan, It's hard for me to explain the playstyle that I found works best.
Early game I use its incredible VR try to counter the enemy lights from taking aggressive positions. Playing the Sheridan, I found a lot of safe bushes/paths that can counter the typical strong bushes.
Mid game I start playing a medium tank role and go for damage and cheeky pot shots while keeping on the lookout for the enemy light positioning and movements. If the enemy light were to try and be aggressive, I quickly move in to counter. Its dpm and hp pool is good enough to 1v1 any light.
End game is where the Sheridan shines because after the enemy light is eliminated, the Sheridan can play the role of a medium and can lay some real damage.
I agree that the Sheridan does need a buff. It needs accuracy, and I believe more dpm. The hardest part about learning the Sheridan is positioning (due to size), knowing when you can play as a medium, and knowing how to counter each light tank.
There's a lot of effort in getting this tank to work, but that's why it holds a special spot in my heart.

Great commentary during your videos. It really helps! I keep a damage build with hardening for city maps and you can actually dish out the damage.

Before the HE changes I was doing great with the Sheridan and the T49, after they destroyed HE, I lost almost 1000 average damage per game, I had a consistent 64% win rate before, but now its dropped to 59%, which is a pretty huge drop over 500 games, I don't play it as a traditional light, I boost the gun handling as much as possible, I try to flank whenever I can, and drop some huge HE hits into squishy targets, the new buff to deadeye has made this a real crit monster.

It is bigger than most mediums, it should get medium tank HP along with gun buffs.

I enjoy my Sheridan, but it's definitely not a very competitive tank. The role it was able to fill as a sniper LT was filled by the Rhm after it got buffed, so now the Sheridan is either a meme with the derp gun or just a worse rhm with the 105 mm gun.

Very interesting, thanks for the detailed approach on this. Before I get too much further in the video; I don't see you using HE at all. I see it is a 53 pen HE, is that too weak to use at T10? Needs a better HE round for sure.
Yeah this is one I want to like as well, and that 152 is maddening to play with or well try to. Why people like more RNG is obvious, but I am not much of a gambler. But that also usually has me not wanting to use HE at all. But HE is addictive once you start finding more situations to use it. I also have been using a armor pen mod called Armor Calculator pro which is way better than that two number system we have had for a while now, bigger colored splashes to help remind you to be using it.

Second battle was actually dream come true for the “LT” like Sheridan. But let’s be honest your flanks lost and there was nothing you could do about even in T-100LT or Manticore. Maybe in 13 105 having a clip you could try some shenanigans but… nah

How would you go about buffing the Sheridan if it was up to you, @DarkNinja?

@@dustinjoel6213 0.05 better fully aimed accuracy is the most important and give it 150 more HP base. It will need more than that to make it competitive probably but that is where I would start because even though it doesn’t make much sense, I think the Sheridan works best as a sniper LT and if it was given more HP then it could do it’s role as a close range trader against other LTs better too.

@@nativoobstinado3525 haven’t played it much since it got moved to tier 9 but when people say they play Sheridan with durp I tell them they should just play t49
