I bought 2 of these awhile ago and paid 500 each for them 🤦🏻♂️ still they are worth it. They sound amazing. I’ve bought a lot of amps with more power trying to sound as good and as deep as this one and none have touched it yet. I haven’t tried any Rockford or Jl stuff tho.
@hifivega is the one your reviewing from Amazon? I know they made an updated version sr 1.500.2 that accepts 4 awg, does your accept 4awg power cable? If you got the bass knob , I was wondering if it comes apart for flush mounting. Thank you.
You gonna Dyno the apf8.9bit next??????? I sure hope so:-) these amps have a high dampening, not as high as an alpine; should sound very clean on the output👍🏼👍🏼
I have a old mtx jackhammer jh600 I was going to use on 2 10 inch subs with low air space. Is a amp like this better to get than the mtx? Using the subs under the back seat of a truck.
I totally missed the "SQ" aspect of the video. Oh, wait... there wasn't any! All we got to see was dynos, dynos and more dynos! Thank God there are some question-marks in the title, otherwise somebody could claim the title is misleading. No hard feelings though, just respect for another you-tuber who's just trying to make a living.
Audison always makes good products. A question though, I've always wondered if any mono sub amp can really be called a SQ amp? They essentially only serve in a bandpass capacity. Just curious. Nice review.
I'm not following your logic here. The essence of it being a sound quality oriented amplifier has more to do with the quality of the parts and how well-designed all the circuitry is. The fact they made the amp to play under 250Hz has nothing to do with it's quality. It's tailored for subwoofer use.
@@JasonWW2000 with subwoofer amps, they can still be oriented for SQ use. Ever hear an amp not properly control a subwoofer? It makes the bass sound muddy and boomy. For those just wanting loud bass, that is fine. For those that want SQ though, you can hear a difference!!! A subwoofer amp is not just a subwoofer amp. A properly controlled subwoofer will help to improve the over all SQ of a system. So a sound quality subwoofer amp is real.
Hello! Nice review! Is there any on-off button on it? I can see an ART button on the side of it, but I dont know what's that for. In my case, the subwoofer will be in and out of the car, and I want an amp that I can switch off manually. How big power cable it needs? I have 35mm2 in my car, but it seems smaller diameter on this amp. Thank you!
people get too caught up on watts. i have a 24year old RF POWER BD1000A1 i can't get away from. i tried the new stinger amp and for the third time the SQ in get with amps that run 1 ohm is not for me i get that the rockford was alot more money. i had a soundstream 10.0 and a phoenix gold tantrum 1200 before .i go no lower than 2 ohm. for the best sound get as much power as you can get at 4 ohm. 1 of the best setup's i had was a kicker zr120 running 4 ohm on some 12's. the old punch45 is legendary for a reason.
I've actually gotten better sound quality when I wired my Rockford T10001bd from 4 ohm to 1 ohm. My subs sounded crisper and more dynamic, even at lower volumes. So I think everybody's experience is going to be different. You can't just say wiring to 4 ohm is going to be better than wiring to 1 ohm. There's a lot more factors involved then just the minimum nominal impedance.
before buying this amp used, can you please help me out since forums arent always for everything? the car audio world isnt always that big. I will buy a dayton reference 12 inch 1x4ohm...im looking for clean sound quality ass. the sub is rated to 400wrms. what would you call a sound quality subwoofer amp? is this sr series amp enough or should i buy something else? really hope to get a reply from you. i will do a 3 way activ front, no speakers in rear doors and one good sub:) dsp controlled.
70 amps worth of fusing but pulled 119 amps. So going by fuse amp rating is not the concrete way of saying what an amp can put out. I see reviewers go by the total fuse rating all the time.”Rule of thumb” busted.
Fuses work on a time limit. So if I were to pull 75 amps for a certain length of time the fuse theoretically should blow, but it also depends on the quality of the fuse. I’ve seen fuse take triple rated for short periods of time
Rule of thumb, by definition, can't be busted. It's just a general guideline, not an actual rule. That's what it means. Lol Anyway, I think Audison are going to recommend only wiring down to 1 ohm. So with impedance rise you'll probably be closer to the 2 ohm power and amperage level. Plus Audison might have some circuitry to dial back the power if it starts to get too hot or pull too much current. If your a basshead and wire to 0.5 ohm and crank it up full blast for extended bass notes, then it might blow the fuse. Anything short of that it will probably be fine on 70A of fusing. I don't mean to be stereotypical, but usually the people buying brands like Audison are usually not bass heads. They will probably wire it to 1 or 2 ohms and maybe max it out briefly.
The rule of thumb that class D amps can multiply the amp rating times 10 and class A/B amps times 8 is pretty close most of the time. This is based on class D efficiency of 80% and class A/B efficiency of 60%. You definitely can't trust it 100% of the time because some manufacturers will try to put an oversized fuse in to fool you.
I used quotation marks for the saying because it is what some perceive is what is true. Not me. Not bashing anyone replying to my comment. Just my comment might not have been taken as I meant.

I agree that’s why I bought one!

I have a couple of the Audison VOCE Quatro amps in my SQ car. Got them on some Morel speakers. I love the Morel tweeters
Bought this amp based on this review and i love it
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching

Just found out where you live, and it's where I grew up! Do you remember the old school stereo shops like Stereo One and Law's?
Yep. I bought plenty of stuff from Arliss and Tim. Had a couple of buddies that installed at Laws
Sup wif da 3.5mm on an Audison? Nice output tho
They figure you ain’t pumping out enough bass to knock it out lol
@@HifiVega Would love to see a video on the milbert tube amp for car audio built in USA. They look insane

It’s in the pipeline!
Sq does not exist in any mono fkn subwoofer amp plus hcca shits on those specs smfh

I mainly say that to differentiate this amp from the taramps etc

Not bad for a budget amp if it’s all some can afford.
I want to see If it can handle 0,66ohms. I have this amp and I really wanna know 😊

This is more SQ than SQL ?
Yes, audison is for SQ
