Those other diet drinks or 0 sugar drinks are terrible for you too. Don't drink those either, they're terrible alternatives. Water with some lemon or something else like that would be much more preferable. Instead of sugar they just fill them with chemicals. Sugar isn't the only bad ingredients in those drinks, look at the rest of the nutrition label.
honestly if you want to have alternatives to soft drink. drink coffee, any good barista should be able to make a perfect coffee which should need no sugar at all. it all depends who makes my coffee I probably only have 1 sugar. the coffee beans itself is a natural source of caffeine and energy.
something seems a little off here - a standard 380ml bottle of lucozade orange contains 48g of sugar, which is about 12 teaspoons less than 2/3 of what was shown here, the coke would be around 5.5 spoons based on that can size. I realise this is supposed to be advice as to that they have a lot in them, but adding 50% or so onto each amount ruins it a little.
i cant find the regular 500ml bottles of pepsi anymore only pepsi max i can find the 1.5l and 2l bottles of regular pepsi and the 6 packs but they stopped selling 500ml bottles
The diet alternatives to these drinks don't contain sugar, which is good, but they do contain sugar alternatives (like Aspartame) which can be worse than sugar in some cases (for reasons I would put here but it would make the comment way too long). If you're gonna have something sweet, just go with sugar- though don't have it in these amounts, of course. At least the sugar is more natural than the mass amounts of chemicals in diet drinks. Your best bet is to stop with drinks like that altogether and switch out for water instead ;)
Did you guys understand that the sugar you are presenting is called Sucrose, where as Glucose and Fructose are different. Derived from other sources like carbs and fruit
@@discoverpt what I mean is that sucrose is the bad one. It cannot be absorbed into the blood stream like Glucose and Fructose. The one to avoid is sucrose. In that sense, Lucozade- originally made up of Glucose, is not so bad. Good though, in wanting to help the public. But we must differentiate between sugars. Because they not the same.
Never had so much sugar so much I wanted a can of Pepsi but then my mom forced me to get a whole bottle. Almost finished without looking at nutrition facts and saw 65g of sugar. I feel sick
You should be using the same size cans or bottles to make this relevant. Also these drinks don't actually contain sugar. They contain sugar alternatives which can be worse on your body. Oh and such a waste of sugar... >_
sugar free soft drinks are worse and contain aspartame and saccharin which has been linked to various types of cancers. everything in moderation but sugar is far healthier than processed sugars.
Hi @slantedlustre404. Thanks for your input, always great to hear viewers opinions. Keep fighting the good fight and make sure to go to bed early and get up early, especially on work days.
great video guys. i taught a lesson to my students doing exactly this... i asked if they wanted to drink the sugar that was in the cup and they all yelled no..loL

Should've used a scale.
Actually lucozade orange has 11.2grams of sugar which makes 3 tea spoons of sugar hence proving you wrong
