This would be my bike if I were looking for a new full suspension. It would be perfect for my trails and style of riding, with the one negative being that the rear brake entry is only on the non drive side which makes for less than ideal routing for a moto lever setup rider (left lever rear brake). Another awesome video!
seems like this video is more of a bike check than a review. I'd expect you to have ridden the bike and talk about how it feels and how that compares to what's on paper for an actual review
wow the bike fell on the non-drive side! unusual 😂 I just bought one of these (last years model in aluminum) and it’s amazing. I’m about to climb a mountain today with it (4000ft), very rocky and dangerous descent, exactly what I bought it for.
The rear triangles are the same on all the sizes. The rear center grows as the sizes go up, but that’s achieved with different linkages, not different stays. Also, more than component spec changes with the top shelf models, as SC also offers two different levels of carbon frame layups; C and CC.
Sounds like Santa Cruz did what Cascade Links did with the replacement link for the V4. Honestly, my v4 was a different bike after I added the cascade link and SDU shock. Made it a much much better bike in every way
The Tallbox is definitely more rowdy & capable. It also lacks a little pedaling efficiency and is slightly heavier. The Top Fuel is still a trail bike, but blurs the line closer to XC. So if you fall into these two bikes, choose the Tallboy if your riding style is a little more playful, like doing small jumps and roosts. Choose the Top Fuel if you want a bit more focused bike and more efficiency climbing.
Good looking but way out of my league. I wish I was good enough to think about a bike like that. Oh and if I won the lottery. How do you find the time to review so many bikes? Thanks for sharing this with us
Naw, my diverge is still better n size 32 c tires make it fast, can take up to size 40 c too for the tuff gravel. I got carbon wheels and it rides super smooth. The diverge is most versatile

Cool story
@@Jamesthebikeguy 🤣
I’d take a stumpy expert for 4200 now. It’s 140/130 and 28.5 lbs. better drive train and brakes. And more.
That is compelling right now
You'd have to try the tallboy, the rear suspension is fantastic
What’s good $5-1000 bike for big guys? I’m bout 6’2” 280lbs, road and trail

How did that decent go

-And for that rowdy geometry the bike does come...... down!😂
Lol
What’s the main difference between this 2023 and the previous model ?

The links are the same across sizes, the position of the pivot changes based on frame size
Différences between a Mondraker Raze ?
Santa Cruz's C level stands for CANT AFFORD IT
Edit: spelling
Does that mean CC on the high level frames means takeout your credit card?

So helpful, thank you!

Hey, How does this bike compare to the Trek Top Fuel? I'm thinking of getting a new bike and have trouble deciding.

Thanks for watching!
I prefer to call it the BMXers downhill bike. A lot of ppl think it’s an XC bike which it’s not, does climb well though.
Guarnitura Dub o Dub Wide?
Is that an e-bike, because that paint is electric!
😂😂

So. Tallboy or Hightower?
Depends on what you ride, and how aggressively you ride.
"Virtual" pivot points are fake. But i love this bike except low bb.
4:39😂…. Hey, Tallboy or Hightower?
oops that bike fell down lol
Lol the bike fell
You're the first one to say anything about it. I left that part in just to see if anyone would notice.
I saw it go downhill on a flat surface
too heavy :(
