The liver filters (cleans) the blood, removing toxins and waste. Once the liver has broken down harmful substances it excretes them either via bile or blood. These blood by-products eventually leave the body (filtered out) via the kidneys as urine - question 12 therefore has 2 possible answers. Great quiz, thank you.
