This might be the case occasionally, but honestly dont go to a money exchange unless you actually compare numbers. As for tge ATM, there are banks thats reimburse ATM fees and also dont charge an exchange fee.
Hi! Definitely compare the numbers. That's what we did. Superrich has been the best option for quite a while. Actually not just occasionaly. So we're comfortable recommending it. And we're all open for tips on banks that reimburse ATM fees, that would be great. We do know about Wise, but no experience with that yet. Heard good stories though.
Frankly I see my Thai mate exchanging money at the bank money exchange near departures so it mustn't be that great a saving going to the Superrich line and waiting there. From the limited rates I've seen online it's about 20 baht per $100 exchanged.
Hi! If you know the name of the bank, please share. We all can benefit :) The other exchange agencies that we saw at the airport were all in the 35 baht range. Superrich was 38.5 baht. It was close to 10% more. For exchanging larger amounts, that's worth getting in line for.
I've told you before all exchange at train line Bangkok airport all give same rate just some do not give more for larger value notes, but the difference is not worth the long queue we are talking about 2 or 3 dollars per thousand. I stay near the airport and use it all the time, and I check the rates each time. You didn't mention money card like Wise, where you will get an even better rate.
Thanks for the extra info! We didn't cover Wise that's correct. No experience with it yet, but heard good stories. Will use it in the future for sure. And when we checked in the airport, the difference between Superrich and the other exchange agencies was quite big, almost 10%.
@grahamjohnson4702 I checked the video images again to be sure and this is what we saw at the locations where we were. It's great that you add info for a location where people can find other good deals.
@@alittlesunshinewithjayandbee What you did not show is the exchange rate board and that against the other kiosks, the queue at that kiosk is because people like you tell them that Super Rich give the best rate and don't check themselves, I can tell you that in all the years I have been changing money in Thailand nobody gives a 10% better rate of exchange than anybody else either in the train station office or in the street kiosks and that is a fact. Go next time and video the kiosks in the train station and then post it showing any differences.
We're only at the airport in this video. Didn't go to the trainstation. We checked a couple of others ones and it was like 38.5 baht for 1 euro at Superrich versus 35.5 baht for a euro at the other ones. That's why we're sharing the tip. And you're adding a tip on top of that. That's the goal 👍🏻

Go into the bank and withdraw cash over the counter, they don’t charge you for this.
Actually never done that :) Will give it a try. Thanks for sharing the tip!
the best thing to bring cash when we go to Thailand
Yes 👍🏻 Would you bring for your whole vacation? For us, we don't like the cary large amounts. So we exchange max for a few days expenses.
