      I have the same car and year. at 5:10 you've put resistor in to airbag source plug. It has 4 wires for two airbags. So why you didin't use two resistors (one for two wires airbag and then second for second two wires airbag)? But you've put one resistor into two holes only, and two wires left open without resistor. Why?

    Great video. Sorry to bother you. I'd like to make a question in case you can help: how do you know or find the resistance value for the airbag ? I have a Peugeot 308 with seat side airbags and everything is fine. I'm trying to install a 308cc seats and it is giving me error for the Airbag. I'm afraid if I can use a multimeter to test and measure between airbag wires or if that would deploy the seat airbag.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  6 лет назад +1

      Erick Soares de Oliveira
      Hi
      You should be able to measure it without deploy the airbag, the amount of current sent by the multimeter is extremely low...
      But, there is always a but, that is not advisable... do it at your own risk...
      If you have a diagnostics tool, and it shows the resistance of the circuit, then you are sorted... otherwise is trial and error... but, it should be somewhere between 1.8 and 3 Ohm, I would say... I will check on my documentation to see if there is anything in there...
      Thank you for watching!

    • @ErickSO
      @ErickSO 6 лет назад

      lmsvvavr , thanks for your kindly attention. I'm afraid that my original 308 seat airbag is different from the 308cc , as the error happen only with the 308cc seats. Do you think that it would be safe to use resistors to adjust the proper value for the 308cc in my 308 system? I mean, maybe series or parallel to properly match the value if that is the case. Thanks

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  6 лет назад +1

      Erick Soares de Oliveira
      I do understand that, and that is what I meant...
      You can measure the resistance of the airbag of the original seat and then the replacement and work it out from there...
      IT SHOULD NOT DEPLOY ANYTHING, BUT DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
      Try to research to see if you find any values... or try with the diagnostic tool...

    • @ErickSO
      @ErickSO 6 лет назад

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  6 лет назад

      TYRON MITCHELL
      If you have 4 wires at the airbag plug, means you have a 2 stage airbag...
      You need diagram to identify the pair that belongs to one of the stages.
      Another way is to trace them from the airbag backwards.
      You can also try and fail until you find the right ones... but I do not advice... unless you know what you are doing...

      +MrAsadEp
      Hi
      Well, experience is a factor in this case... but usually airbags generate a resistance around this value... when the tool shows you the resistance on live data, is a bit easier, as you can compare with a working aibag...

      If that curtain airbag deployed like that after you touch the plug, imagine if the steering airbag deploy while you are driving!....
      Leave that for someone with some more knowledge!
      I would say the first thing you should have done, before touch anything, was to scan the car...
      Guessing on airbag systems is not a very good idea...
      I don't want you to get hurt, so once again, my advice is to leave that and get it checked by a proper electrician....

      thank you for your relpy. Absolutely i don't touch it. But I wonder that does this cause the socket to explode?

      @LMAutoRepairs  6 лет назад

      özgür çelik
      Or something on that plug you have touched, or it might be that the original issue could be caused by some kind of short somewhere... an airbag only needs 12v and bang...

      Right, following an abnormal deployment of an airbag from someone that was asking me here for help, I will be quite straight on my reply...
      If are not sure of what you are doing, don't do it! Especially when working on airbag systems...
      I can advise you to find the correct diagrams for your car, and go from there...
      Or, just leave that for someone that knows what is doing...
      An abnormal deployment can hurt!

    • @armirshabanovski5567

      Thank you,but i think with emulator you cant damage nothing,now the problem i know where is,just need to find the right cable to attack emulator...

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  6 лет назад

      Armir shabanovski
      Well, some cars including Peugeot, have airbags connected in series... so, you can accidentally deploy them...
      Anyway, you need to trace down the circuit for the airbag you want to emulate...
      The emulator connects to the two wires coming from the airbag module...

    Hello lmsvvavr,
    After the exchange and configuration of the BSI with your help, here in Brazil I managed to identify 2 problems that light the airbag, following another video of yours, I solved one that is the driver's bag, but the other do not know how to solve, maybe you Can you help me, the message is "side module trigger (right) open circuit" I have already seen that wire 6508 is in the green connector on the bottom of the passenger seat. But nothing connects in this thread, I do not have side airbags. Any tips? Thank you again!

      Which airbags are fitted on the car?

      i have a 307sw which has only the driver and passenger

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  7 лет назад +1

      Ok...
      Have a look under configurations on the airbag module... with pp2000... see if all configuration is ok...
      Look to see if there is any airbags enabled that should not be...

    • @magnusmoraes3244
      @magnusmoraes3244 7 лет назад

      I also think it might be this, but the only options that are active are:
      Pre tensioning seat belt
      Driver's air bag
      Passenger airbag
      Desarming swihtch
      Calibration of satelities: virgin ECU
      And when I disable any of these appears a lot of errors

      OK...
      Check the circuit from the module to the passenger side airbag...

      Which airbag is giving you a fault?
