Duchess of Cambridge greets troops at spectacular military concert

- The Duchess of Cambridge has made her debut at The Household Division's Beating Retreat ceremony. Catherine took the salute for the first time at the annual concert. The duty is always performed by a member of the royal family.
Over 750 soldiers performed in ceremonial uniform for the spectacular display at Horse Guards Parade. The event happens each year on the Wednesday and Thursday evenings preceding the 'Trooping The Colour', The Queen's Birthday Parade. The event also paid tribute to the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

No, only in your imagination perhaps. Meghan is married to the sixth in line to the throne and will only ever be Duchess of Sussex. Catherine’s husband is currently second in line after his father making her not only the next Princess of Wales when Charles succeeds to the throne, but also the future Queen Consort when William becomes King. Not only is she the wife of a future King but also the mother of another future King in Prince George. That is the way that the Line of Succession works in OUR Royal Family.
