Truck sounds so sweet. 1 thing that'll help is to connect the Vacuum Advance in the distributer so you get the full advantage on the strip, and when you just drive it./ Gas coil-over shocks on all 4 corners will stiffen the ride until you decide to go all out with an A-arm kit and 4-link the back. I put shocks on my buddy's 77 Monte Carlo and it stiffened it enough to drift on pavement .It handled so much better period, and the suspension is similar to yours.

The carburetor it has Dosnt have vacuum ports on it I’m not sure where I’d connect it to I think manifold vacuum is to much for the distributer
