This is because you have high porosity. Low porosity needs moisture more and High Porosity needs more of protein treatments. So if low porosity is experiencing break offs with clove treatments, it basically means that clove has protein and should be used sparingly on low porosity hair. But people with high porosity can use it regularly because their hair lacks protein so will do just fine with the cloves treatment. Low porosity hair has enough protein already and adding more will cause breakage due to protein overload. In all, one needs to find a balance between protein and moisture treatments for a healthy thriving hair. Edit: thank you all for the love ❤️

When using spray as low porosity, focus on your scalp. In order to combat moisture overload you need to have a moisture-protein balance. Incorporate protein treatments into your routines. Just like you should deep condition at least once a month, you can switch it up with a protein treatment to keep the strength and elasticity of your hair.

No matter what corners one wants to go around, it breaks some people's hair! I don't like people giving definite responses to questions, just because their experience is something else. I have overloaded my hair with moisture many times and it didn't break. Yet, I was not using clove water every day and it broke my hair. My hair got stiff, brittle, dry and lifeless. My sister even has same porosity as me and her hair is fine after using cloves, but not mine. It's like the thing hates me. To show you how drying this thing is for some of us, I started using clove water on my oily Tzone and it dramatically cut down the oiliness in that area, even on days when I don't use it. It's just not for everyone!
Yes, I left another comment addressing this. It's got nothing to do with protein since cloves have a very insignificant amount of protein overall, but it's the active ingredient in cloves that's a very highly powerful astringent, THAT'S what's dried and broke your hair off. It's also why it dried out your t zone so efficiently.

I spray it directly on the scalp and let some get on the hair, I spray after washing and then apply leave in conditioner and seal it with a hair conditioning moisturizer then braid it in conrows and just keep it wrapped or not. So far so good.
My hair broke off because of moisture overload. It’s not talked about enough but too much oil and not enough wash days = disaster. I thought I was having male pattern baldness or alopecia but after trying to figure it out, I washed my head with shampoo and just put oil on my palms to rub in and then just leave in conditioner and moisturizer and it has grown back fairly quick. So, y’all.. be careful not to use too much oil lmao fr.. Edit: Also, I found this out because I was using wild growth oil. Totally was using too much. My hair was super good before hand. But it ate my crown up and it got super thin. It’s good now though that I use way less product.
I have used cloves and water everyday for the last 6ish months and noticed a difference but every 3 days I added an oil to my scalp. A friend of mines did the same except adding the oil for a month and she said her hair was so dry and started breaking off..I think what people are doing wrong is not putting something on top of the clove water. I don’t think porosity matters. I actually don’t care to even know what mines is nor anyone else’s lol. I have since updated my clove spray by adding other herbs and aloe Vera powder so I hope my friend can benefit like I have (I gave her my concoction to try)

When you aply cloves i suggest you mix some soft oil it helps in avoiding entangling. When u use cloves on hair it entangles so to avoid breakage mix it with essential oils to help avoid entangling of hair.
People jus need to stick to doing what needs to be done to the hair when it needs to be done and also understanding what exactly they are putting in their hair. If your hair is dry, moisturize properly. If you need protein, do protein treatment.
@@semoneg2826 I would think people would do their own research before listening to others on the internet and putting stuff in their hair. I guess not 🤷🏾♀️
I have low porosity hair and my hair dries so quickly I never get moisture overload. I put water on it every day and believe that is best for most people.
Am a little late but heres the thing. High porosity absorbs moisture easily but also doesn't retain it (which means it needs protein and at the same time it still needs more moisture since it doesn't retain it) Low porosity doesn't easily absorb water but retains it better (you don't need to excessively moisturize)
My hair reduced falling out after I did a few things. I used homemade hair masks like avocado and yogurt. I avoided brushing my hair when it was wet to stop it from breakage. Once a week, I massaged my scalp with hair oil. I cleansed my hair 1-2 times a week with liitlleextraa cooconion shampoo.
I must say I was a bit skeptical when I initially bought this Cocoonion oil by Littlllextra for me. But I just bought a second bottle. This product is an absolute awesome in reducing my hair loss.
I am using LittleeeExtra Cocooniooon shampoo since 5 months now and have used 4 bottles so far. Pros: 1. It feels natural. 2. My hair feels great after washing, especially if you don’t apply any hair oil. 3. Yes, hair fall has reduced a lot gradually. 4. The scalp feels clean and it’s effective against dandruff. Cons: 1. Doesn't produce much lather, which means you might need to use a bit more. 2. When I apply a lot of oil, I find my hair still sticky after the wash, and a slight residue of oil can still be felt.
I have low porosity hair and I use cloves water on my hair for like 3 weeks and then I put some oil on my hair as well and they it grew my hair 2 in but at the same time it dries your hair out if you have low porosity hair the bad thing about if you have your hair and a protective Style and you want to use clove water that could be a bad thing because low porosity hair need to be wet first and except moisture better
Talk to your doctor AND your hair stylist. If you don't have a certified hair stylist, please get one. Internal issues MUST be addressed and your hair stylist will further evaluate the best routine. I heard that cloves only cleanses the scalp and rid it from bacteria/yeast and is not actually growing your hair. Some see growth because it is getting rid of the bacteria growth, which is what prevented the hair growth. That is likely why it is working for some and for some, it is breaking off their hair.
My hair dry with thin strands. I have high porosity hair which is very sensitive to protein so I have not gone down the Clove trend! It seems to work for others but for me would be disastrous
I use the oil only mixed with other oils never tried it the other way but was using it in my locs however I just took my locs down and my hair has grown so much and thicker like and I only was locd for 3 months also I barely had manipulation I understand now that's the 🗝️ key
just like coconut oil is not fit for everyone, because it does cause breakage for some, clove water might do the same. I tried it once and I lost more hair than usual. I will try it again and see how it goes
Your hair is always growing but the the problem is that it is not retaining length, you need to switch to protect and repair mode, that is, make sure to care for your ends, get trims, deep conditioning treatments, protective styles, it might also be that your hair is damaged, or you’re doing something wrong, check Yourself I’ll make sure to make a video on how to retain length
What can I do to get my hair healthier? It was damaged after being relaxed and I've trimmed and cut it several times and tried a lot of hair masks with natural ingredients but I still have split ends and fairy knots. I'm just trying to get it back to a healthy state but it's been almost 5 years and it's still damaged. I need a big sister to help me and guide me on how to get it healthy please.
I have 3 questions: and I am low porosity 1. So after I spray the cloves n massage it on my scalp, will I apply the oil to seal it up on my hair or scalp? Should the oil touch my scalp 2. Can I still massage my hair with these oil, for four remaining days of the week, or it will cause too much greace? 3. Can I mix the clove oil with the other light oil ? And how many days can I use it to massage in a week?
Those who experienced hair breakage were not making claims. It works for you, great. If we keep playing the guessing game & not doing proper research based off of science, we'll mislead people.
Hair can’t hate being wet or water. Maybe it’s the quality of the water ur using. Maybe ur hairs sensitive to specific ones. Because hair loves water, it’s like a plant. N even if u don’t wet it manually, just ensure ur drinking a lot of it.
I've never trusted or got interested in these cloves and other ingredients I see on RUclips, too many DIYs, don't know which one to stick to, i just follow my simple routine and be consistent with it, the only additional staff I do is hot oil treatment and protein treatment to strengthen my hair

You'll have to do a lot of your own research if you really want to learn about your hair type and improve your texture/length. That's how I learnt, I invested a lot of time and it has paid off. Hope this helps somewhat.
😐
Edit:
Also, I found this out because I was using wild growth oil. Totally was using too much. My hair was super good before hand. But it ate my crown up and it got super thin. It’s good now though that I use way less product.
This was helpful and thorough. Thank you for taking the time to document your progress. I'm trying this now. I added rosehips to help with the aroma.
Good
Thanks NAYA because I just started using it yesterday but I apply it on my scalp for now, much love 😘😘🖤
Thanks and you’re welcome
Did your hair grow
I have used cloves and water everyday for the last 6ish months and noticed a difference but every 3 days I added an oil to my scalp. A friend of mines did the same except adding the oil for a month and she said her hair was so dry and started breaking off..I think what people are doing wrong is not putting something on top of the clove water. I don’t think porosity matters. I actually don’t care to even know what mines is nor anyone else’s lol. I have since updated my clove spray by adding other herbs and aloe Vera powder so I hope my friend can benefit like I have (I gave her my concoction to try)
how long can you store in the fridge?
@@letiah7863 I keep it 2 weeks
@@I_am_Musiq94 thank you!
My hair is of low porosity.
I didn't use any moisturizer after using clove water. I use clove water twice or thrice a week and my hair is breaking off. Can u suggest me any moisturizer?
Can I use any hair oil every other day of using clove water?
Pls reply me.. I am very much tensed for my hair.
@@Sana-xo9vn hey. So yes you can use any oil you want. As far as moisturizer you can try any kind you want. I personally use grease now. So that takes the place of oil and moisturizer so I alternate between using just oil and using leave-in/grease... I like the brands like Cantù, Elasta QP, crème of nature, pink lotion..brands that are heavy. And grease it’s really whichever one smells good to me lol. Hope this helps!
Cloves is so magnifique am madly loving it dear ,very few times I tried it and I saw a marvelous results in my hair ,i got volume and length
Something i noticed is that it need to adjust the measurements and for me I must mixing it with another ingredients like rosemary, and for the mask I used it with banana 🍌 aloevera, moringa, honey ,olive oil,and natural Yogurt, the Cloves spray I let it only overnight and wash it out,I have high porosity hair but it drained crazy my hair without adding oils, that's all about cloves for me ,thank you for your video it's very clear
That’s another good way to use it, nice one dear👍
Am using cloves to my relaxer hair my hair is strong nd health❤️❤️
When you aply cloves i suggest you mix some soft oil it helps in avoiding entangling. When u use cloves on hair it entangles so to avoid breakage mix it with essential oils to help avoid entangling of hair.
People jus need to stick to doing what needs to be done to the hair when it needs to be done and also understanding what exactly they are putting in their hair. If your hair is dry, moisturize properly. If you need protein, do protein treatment.
👍
What most people don't know is that clove is high in protein and depending on your hair type it could work against you
@@semoneg2826 I would think people would do their own research before listening to others on the internet and putting stuff in their hair. I guess not 🤷🏾♀️
@@Malalalaika Nope ha....s lot of people just follow something without asking questions... Only a few would querry
Thank you very much God bless us guy’s and our families 🙏❤️✝️🥰
Same to you!
I have low porosity hair and my hair dries so quickly I never get moisture overload. I put water on it every day and believe that is best for most people.
Haven't had any negative effects from cloves but Amla oil made my hair break and become damaged. We all react differently.
I love your hairstyle. Thanks for this great video
Am a little late but heres the thing. High porosity absorbs moisture easily but also doesn't retain it (which means it needs protein and at the same time it still needs more moisture since it doesn't retain it)
Low porosity doesn't easily absorb water but retains it better (you don't need to excessively moisturize)
Pros:
1. It feels natural.
2. My hair feels great after washing, especially if you don’t apply any hair oil.
3. Yes, hair fall has reduced a lot gradually.
4. The scalp feels clean and it’s effective against dandruff.
Cons:
1. Doesn't produce much lather, which means you might need to use a bit more.
2. When I apply a lot of oil, I find my hair still sticky after the wash, and a slight residue of oil can still be felt.
If they put it on the hair it dries the hair out thus cause breakage, cloves should be put on the scalp only
The scalp should be oiled after applying
I have low porosity hair and I use cloves water on my hair for like 3 weeks and then I put some oil on my hair as well and they it grew my hair 2 in but at the same time it dries your hair out if you have low porosity hair the bad thing about if you have your hair and a protective Style and you want to use clove water that could be a bad thing because low porosity hair need to be wet first and except moisture better
Thanks for the video , I will try
Great video! I learned a lot thank u
thanks Naya😘🤗.
You’re welcome dear
Thanks, I just started using it three days ago.
I hope it went well
👍
This was really helpful...I've never tried cloves but I'm willing to try

We also must remember to deep condition the hair after washing it
👍👍
Thank you for this information BC I actually use the clove water every day.
Extremely helpful sis...Thanks
🤎
@@Nayanzeka what does it when it makes my hair itch??
They say too much use of clove can be drying so to be careful how often you use it. Some ppl may have to dilute it witn a couple of other oils
👍
Yes you can put the clove in your leave in conditioner also
Talk to your doctor AND your hair stylist.
Amazing tips thank you 🙏🏽
You’re welcome
Thank You so much I appreciate your hair encouragement tips 💕
You’re welcome hun
God bless you thruogh channel
Amen, thanks
I have never heard that before
.... cloves tend to grow hair by stimulation of the scalp. I use it as an oil.
👍
Great video…Thanks for the information. Xxx
My hair dry with thin strands. I have high porosity hair which is very sensitive to protein so I have not gone down the Clove trend! It seems to work for others but for me would be disastrous
thanks for the info 1st cousin
🤎
I use the oil only mixed with other oils never tried it the other way but was using it in my locs however I just took my locs down and my hair has grown so much and thicker like and I only was locd for 3 months also I barely had manipulation I understand now that's the 🗝️ key
👍
omg so this is why my hair has been feeling rough lately 😭 I'm low porosity
I love you hair 💕💕
Thank you so much
I used it twice and it makes my hair soft and at the same time am experiencing hair loss
Please what can I do to stop the breakage
Stop Useage dear, you hair mignonette protein sensitive
just like coconut oil is not fit for everyone, because it does cause breakage for some, clove water might do the same. I tried it once and I lost more hair than usual. I will try it again and see how it goes
Thanks for sharing!!
Parabéns naya seu cabelo esta muito bem cuidado
Thanks for sharing 6. Pls my hair has stopped growing, n long hair is my daily dreams, what do u advice me to do pls. Ur hair tickles my fancy,😘
Your hair is always growing but the the problem is that it is not retaining length, you need to switch to protect and repair mode, that is, make sure to care for your ends, get trims, deep conditioning treatments, protective styles, it might also be that your hair is damaged, or you’re doing something wrong, check Yourself
I’ll make sure to make a video on how to retain length
👏👏👏👏
Pls do make d video. Thank u so very much 6. May God increase u in knowledge. Super u 👍. Till I hear from u.
I have 3 questions: and I am low porosity
1. So after I spray the cloves n massage it on my scalp, will I apply the oil to seal it up on my hair or scalp? Should the oil touch my scalp
2. Can I still massage my hair with these oil, for four remaining days of the week, or it will cause too much greace?
3. Can I mix the clove oil with the other light oil ? And how many days can I use it to massage in a week?
Make sure to always lubricant your hair after applying cloves
And your hair won’t grease up if you use little oil and also light one
If your hair is low porosity you can use it 2-3 a week
I use cloves and rosemary infusion made a difference my bald spots are growing back
Nice!
Thanks for sharing. Pls can I use olive oil instead of almond oil?
Yes, sure
I been using clove and rosemary water. Hate the smell in my hair honestly.
Those who experienced hair breakage were not making claims. It works for you, great. If we keep playing the guessing game & not doing proper research based off of science, we'll mislead people.
Please naya how do they boil that water to make it perfect. And in Washing the hair do you apply hot or cold clove water prepared. Thanks
How long or how many days should clove be soaked in the water, and what is the meaning of low or high porosity?
Thanks dear ❤️
🤎
Yes cloves can break your hair it works like protein. I agree that porosity definitely matters. I have low porosity hair.
Exactly!!
Pliz dia after spray it into the hair do I need to wash it out or? Pliz answer me
I just started the clove system so this was informal thanks
Did your hair grow
Am trying this thanks
You’re welcome
Base on what am seeing so far is one hair type using clove water and that is natural hair. Can you use clove water on relax hair.❤
I use cloves and it stopped my hair from shedding and breaking.
Thank you so much 🤍
How long to you leave clove water
On your scalp? I only wash my hair once a week
Clove water mixed with castor oil broke off my hair because of moisture overload as you said.
Is clove water only for Black hair ?❤️🖤💚
Am a victim of hair breakage with cloves I don't even know what to do to make it stop please help😭😭😭😭😭😭
Follow the instructions on the video
You probably used it too strong
My hair hates being wet unless it's being washed. I can't do the clove water 😫 but my hair LOVES the clove oil though
The oil is great as well
Sameeeee!!!! When it’s wet I notice it breaks wayy more if I try to do these protective styles and incorporate any type of protein
Hair can’t hate being wet or water. Maybe it’s the quality of the water ur using. Maybe ur hairs sensitive to specific ones. Because hair loves water, it’s like a plant. N even if u don’t wet it manually, just ensure ur drinking a lot of it.
Can I use both clove water and clove oil at the same time?
I've never trusted or got interested in these cloves and other ingredients I see on RUclips, too many DIYs, don't know which one to stick to, i just follow my simple routine and be consistent with it, the only additional staff I do is hot oil treatment and protein treatment to strengthen my hair
I will use close please I want to know please answer me can I use it every day
Please, I am now growing my hair, and it's very short will the cloves water help
Whats the proper way to find out if you low or high porosity
How long would it take for me to see a change in my hair if I'm only using cloves water?
