Hey, thanks for commenting! Been into audio for about 40 years now, so it's in my blood. There's a constant revolving door of amps and speakers coming through my place - love it all. I think most people are just unaware of how good a sonic presentation can get (and of course, many just don't care), but it's something I never really get tired of. Cheers!
I absolutely agree. Sugden with the Minstrels sounds more natural for sure. The way my ears / brain interpret it in my room is that the ADS sound like a live, amplified performance in a larger venue, and the Minstrels sound like a more intimate, unamplified performance in a smaller venue. I like both, but the Minstrels are much easier to live with (for me) without a doubt. I also believe that my ADS are not properly set up; I think they really should be closer to the back wall, but as you can see, I have all kinds of stuff in the way in this small apartment (all my gear).
Btw - thanks for commenting. I'm glad to know that people can differentiate between the two setups through these uploads, even if they don't portray the actual sound I'm hearing in my room. This is why I like the idea of comparisons; you can detect relative differences, despite not being able to hear their actual in-room performance. It at least gives the viewer a little bit of something to chew on. Cheers!
A better amp than which? My amps are alright. (Sugden (upgraded), Exposure (upgraded), Sansui, NAD). I've had so-called higher-end (Bryston, Unison Research, Counterpoint, Aragon, etc). These are just as enjoyable. I'd like to get a tube amp again, though.
Wow Though no one used real speakers anymore .

I don't understand the comparison, but you need to get a better amp.

@@georgieboy2432 btw - what's not to understand about the comparison? Two systems, same song.
