One time I had an mri I was so nervous. Before (way before) I got it (this year) my mom showed me the sounds it makes. When I heard them, I bursted into tears bc I’m am scared of loud noises. I couldn’t believe it bc I had to do it. The day I was gonna get my mri, I was so scared. In my hospital room, I shook there, with my parents with me. I was SUPER nervous about the anesthesia bc I would get a poke, I had a feeling of intense butterflies in my stomach, I felt sick, and my stomach hurt so bad. That’s how scared I was. When I got wheeled into the mri room, I started crying hard. I was having a full on panic attack. I felt really tingly bc of my anxiety + the panic attack. Before they poked me, they but me to sleep. I was given laughing gas, it only was a matter of seconds before I fell asleep. since I was asleep, I can’t remember anything, not even the sounds, not even the poke! When I woke up, I was in my hospital room again, I felt nauseous like I was gonna throw up. But I didn’t! I said “it’s over already..?” I was still a little groggy at the time. It was quite the experience, but it was worth it. My results came in and my brain was perfectly normal. My parents though I had cerebral palsy. But I didn’t. That was my experience, thank you for reading. :)
@@louie098 ny uncle had one when he was having strokes. bad thing was he was hard of hearing so he fell asleep while having it and couldnt hear the nurse letting him know it was finished
In some cases, an IV Infusion of Propofol will be administered to keep you asleep during the MRI. Don't worry, the IV pole will be an MRI compatible one.
So today (6/12/2024) I got put to anesthesia bcuz of an MRI so they gave me a pad and mask and out of nowhere everything suddenly turned into an echo , then I woke up without dizziness so i thought I beat anesthesia ,then we took the 1 train to 96 Street ,Broadway then I took the 2 train to Bronx park east ,then I played my Nintendo Switch.
Ik I might be a kid but btw if you wanna know more about a mri scanner just read this comment Ok so you wanna know about a mri so mri means magnetic residence imaging when a mri is done you will hear some knocking noises some it just sounds like someone’s knocking on a door if you have heard about a ct or cat scanner mri is different then a ct scanner cuz a mri does not use radiation now when in the camera you will need to stay still and I mean really still like pretend your a statue by the way before your scan you will get an iv or a catheter a medicine will be inserted in the iv the medicine is called contrast contrast lights up whatever part of your body is being scanned and also a mri is a giant magnet that is always switched on so you will need to remove any thing metal sometimes you will need to wear a hospital gown hoped you all learned something thank you for reading this
My son just had one yesterday. Tell me, how would you make a 4 year old active child, lie perfectly still for 45 minutes? Not to mention the loud noise and small tunnel. I'm glad he was asleep and didn't need to be further traumatized!

I had an MRI done at Baptist health imaging Center.
Thank God I've only had a CT after an accident in the kindergarten back in 1994 at the age of 5. Wasn't put to sleep.
And what the Hell? They don't even ask your last will incase something goes wrong?!
The sounds are cool
I don’t understand why in all these videos the child is shaking the person hand like I will be holding my mother for dear life
I wonder most MRI machines have stickers in it no !
Amazing place... Medina of Medical Care
No mask with my 2yr almost 3

Why can't an adult one be the same
gosh..
Recommendations with RUclips...
Idk, getting anesthesia for a painless procedure is a bad idea because of anesthesia risks & side effects
It also helps kids who are terrified or need sadatition because there bodies and brain can’t take it
