I really don't love being a naysayer, and I really enjoy this channel! But I just had a very negative experience with Legacybox, and wanted to share this since it's such a fresh experience. Legacybox really messed up some irreplaceable mini VHS cassettes from my childhood, and there's really nothing I can do to get that footage back at this point. I will say their customer support is good, and they did offer me a partial refund for the damaged originals, but that footage is still lost. The transfer process was unsuccessful, so now I have choppy/incomplete footage, and originals are damaged from the mailing process. It really was such a sad experience, I know lots of people experience success with them but I'm definitely an outlier and wish I'd known that there really isn't any protection if your originals are messed up in the mailing process. I live in Texas, so heat can also be an issue - just something to keep in mind! I love Michel's channel and definitely want her to make revenue, I just also wish I'd known this about Legacybox before I sent out home videos that came back damaged 😢. Do your due diligence, look at a bunch of reviews first, and please be aware of the risk of mailing originals.
@@le4905 they used to make a vhs and DVD combo player. I have one(it's ancient by today standard). You can record to DVD. Don't know if they still sell these.

I could play them on my parents' old camcorder and show the footage on the tv when hooked up to an HDMI, but I wanted them digitized for long-term preservation. It's good that you're doing your solo dates again, I do that while shopping at times, when I get ready to go out my husband now asks me "am I going with you" and I'll tell him no, this time is just for me, and he completely understands. And the house prices in Austin remind me of Toronto, same thing, insane prices.
My grandfather passed away a few years ago and my mom would really appreciate something like this with her home videos when she was growing up in the 70s-90s because she misses him so much. To see him smile or hear his voice would mean the world to her and I think this can be such a meaningful present to celebrate his life and see him again in a way she hasn’t in a while. My boyfriends parents had their wedding video on a tape and it was filmed over if that makes sense and it’s stuck in the player. I want to take apart the player and get it out and do this for them as well. His mom really wants to see her wedding video again which she hasn’t watched in a long time and it would mean so much to her. I wanted to thank you for sharing these little moments with us and showing us this amazing idea 😍🥺

After 2 bad relationships. I would never want to go back, and do over. Nope to be single, is all I want. Last night it came to me that I no longer believe in love...or that I was never meant to marry. At 65 , I just want to be free to be me. No more struggle to find that someone to love and be loved. Here in Morgantown, WV also has been experiencing those vivid colored skies it was actually daylight here til like 9:30p.m. Sadly all those rainbow colors were probably from the chem trails.
