#matrix #matrixexplained #thematrix Развлечения
I always felt that the boy sent Neo the Zion spoon to hint to Neo that Zion was just another tier of The Matrix. As to say "There's no spoon here either. You're still in The Matrix."
...Nice theory.
I have the same thought
It's stablished canon that even if you are unplugged you are still in The Matrix, because it is a metaphor of a supreme hegemonic police state; another Mechanism of Control (what Baudrillard calls Hyperreality). As long as the machines control the narratives, even if you are physically unplugged, you are still oppressed by it, and thus, still plugged. That's why it's necessary to keep believing that there is no spoon, because doing so grants the only freedom possible in such a system: the freedom inside your mind.
So it's not like the "real world" is yet another computer simulation (most likely) like some film theorist would had wanted to believe, but rather, that the simulacrum (again, in terms of Baudrillard) extends beyond the Matrix itself. It's very probable that blind Neo could see the machine's code in the real world because somehow he gained the ability to read it wirelessly (we never see him "see" something non-machine).
As for the very interesting idea of nested simulations, we fortunately got that explored in Resurrections, which is from where the Morpheus program came from.
This. I've been convinced zion and the "real" world are also not real.
The last movie was all just another modal for Neo and Trinity to unleash their power and let them think they have gained control before they find the real truth.
And either way the machines and humans have to work together like they were in new zion or they will both die out.
Nice
Spoonboy gave Neo the understanding of manipulating the Matrix, while The Oracle gave Neo the code needed to reset the Matrix through her cookie. A deliberate choice of food by the Wachowski's, given its usage on the Web. The Merovingian demonstrated that same concept to Neo, Trinity and Morpheus with the slice of cake given to that lady. I think every time the Oracle gave neo a treat, such as the candy in the park, she was patching in some updates, which allowed him those extra abilities like connecting to the Matrix without being jacked in.
So interesting. Did matrix explain ever say this? I think your right. So what your saying is that when neo ate that first cookie it activated the code in him to get his abilities?
100% correct also Trinity is the driver of the One Program. Hence why Neo had to give Trinity the power to fly.
@@xyoungdipsetx Yes. Morpheus says to Neo, "What was said to you is for you alone." Even though Morpheus was referring to the conversation where Oracle conveys her prophecy to Neo, it also conveys to the audience that the cookie matters the most as she insists Neo to have one byte or 8 bits by which Neo will feel light as rain. "Light as rain". Neo sees the light as rain at the end of the movie. The green codes falling all over the Matrix giving him light (vision) or the one's awakening according to Oracle.
@@AnnaBellaChannel Yes. Just like after Neo had one byte of that cookie, he felt light as rain. "You will Feel Light as Rain". Feel - Trinity, Light - Vision, Rain - Green codes everywhere in the Matrix. So, feel light as rain is same as saying affect or love or true care (Trinity) causing a vision or light as rain (seeing the Matrix as it is). So, it requires Trinity to enlighten Neo. And they both had a common one to share which is Morpheus aka knowledge or belief.
I wonder if Neo had to click "enable cookies"?? 😆 🤣 😂
Spoonboy grew up to be Spoonman and inspired a Soundgarden song, fulfilling the prophecy of The One Who Will Help Us Come Together With His Hands
Major props for quoting Soundgarden
LOL I was thinking the same thing
Well done.
RIP Chris Cornell 🖤
I'm together with this plan
What happened to the spoon boy? He mastered all 4 elements, defeated Fire Lord Ozai, ended the 100 year war, ushered in an era of peace and founded Republic City with Fire Lord Zuko.
Oh, and had 3 kids with Katara.
The died a horrible death, as next avatar of trash know as korra, let him and all others die. Rest in peace avatar spoonboy. Trask Kora we will ensure you meet the same fate as avatar spoonboy!!
🤣the internet is yours for a day, save guard it carefully
One of the orphans in Zion GIVES HIM A SPOON! It's the same kid, he's just not on screen.
I remember that and always wondered why the spoon was so beat up lol
@@CRF250R1521 it’s beat up from being made, it’s the post apocalyptic world, I doubt they had the tools nor the time to buff out the dings from creating the spoon
Yeah, lots of reaches in this "explanation"
Glad someone said this.
The spoon boy was freed from the Matrix, that's what sending the spoon to Neo meant...it's what Neo fights for, to free humans. Inside the Matrix the spoon is shiny and smooth, but the spoon he sends to Neo is dull and rough, signifying reality, meaning thank you for fighting for us. When you see, you see.
are you a spoon boy?
The Oracle and the Potentials in the original movie were meant to give the vibe that they were all human, originally.
Humans that were still plugged in the system and lived in secrecy. The word "potential" is meant to imply humans for potential Red-Pills to disconnect later. Remember, in the first film? _Everybody_ was out to find The One, bending The Matrix at a young age was like a parent bringing their kid for "he/she could be the next president!"
Before the film switched to everybody-Kung-Fu-fighting, it was hinted that Red-Pills all actually came with unique Matrix bending abilities that others didn't have. It's just that the high ranking ones like Morpheus and Trinity were exceptionally good because their warping abilities were _really good_ for fighting, a necessity for escaping Agents (first minutes of the movie).
Some Red-Pills could levitate objects, but it didn't do much good when say, Agent Smith came busting down the door and shot you. Some were even unique to the point they'd wear white instead of black, hinting at particularly unique abilities.
The reveal of The Oracle being a machine is now no big surprise, but back then, including to Morpheus, it was a shock. The Oracle probably even lied to Morpheus, hinting she was human and didn't want to unplug to help humans without being on the run. That's why she went into hiding as soon as Neo got his powers for 6 months, because Neo would have immediately shattered that lie, like he did in Reloaded.
@@shiningarmour6805 The Prophecy was a prediction made by the Oracle and, as told to Neo by Morpheus, stating the coming of The One and that it will herald the destruction of the Matrix and the freedom of humanity from their oppression by the Machines. Once The One enters the Source, he will have the power to destroy the Matrix.
So, there are those that search the Matrix to find the One, Morpheus is one of the searchers.. when they think they have found the One they bring them as potentials to the Oracle.. So potential just means potentially the One.
My friends and I will regularly, when working through a problem, say to one another "There is no spoon".
The problem: Out of spoons.
There is no Spoon Boy 😎
Cool Jedi mind trick...
Aw...you beat me to it! I scrolled through the comments before I was going to post the same thing!
He became a spoon 🥄
Cycle of life
Alright. That’s funny.
I am literally watching Matrix Resurrection as this is going. 🕶
There is a scene in Matrix: Reloaded that suggested to me that Spoonboy had exited the Matrix. In the scene where the Nebuchadnezzar crew is going to see the Oracle, and just before Bane/Smith hides a knife he is carrying, The Kid calls out to Neo. He catches up, and gives Neo a spoon, telling him that it was from one of the orphans and that he would know what it means. That suggests that Spoonboy was now part of the real world.
yeaph, it was always a clear fact form me, this video is confusing
Great video! Watched the whole way through. It may get tough putting these together but no one does this quality like you do man. Huge fan of your work! 💙🐻
When the previous "Ones" bent their spoons, they stayed bent and twisted. Neo's spoon returned to normal.
He opened a kitchen supplies store in the new Matrix...!! x D
It was a joke. Now seriously, I loved this video... The influence over the amount of the awareness Neo needed to fulfill his purpose and survive the agents... WONDERFUL AND BRILLIANT. Thanks!
Man, that insight you have about the number of bent spoons and the number of previous “Ones” was an amazing catch. I am a matrix super man and I never caught that. Thanks for the feels I haven’t gotten in a while from the Matrix!!!!
It's details like that providing extra depth and cohesiveness to a movie that make it more meaningful and interesting.
That’s an impressive detail. Such a well written movie.
@@aliensoup2420 the artist who made the "sentinels" she made into "art" in the matrix, reminds of hp lovecraft's "scary' art and books , the sentinels does look like his monsters and cthlutu if you think about it
Uhm, didn't Kid give Neo a spoon before he got back onto the Nebuchadnezzar? I recall him saying one of the orphans made him swear to get the spoon to neo. The spoon boy is 100% a potential that eventually got to Zion.
It's clear he ended up in Zion having sent NEO the spoon. He was a candidate for becoming the one, because of his advanced ability to manipulate the program of the Matrix. His attempt to intercede with the artist was an attempt to mitigate a local disaster. He may have had many experiences moving people around in the matrix to precipitate liberation.
I believe the spoon boy was the decendant one of the "Ones." Born in Zion. That's why he was in zion, and it also explains why he knew so much about the matrix and was a potential candidate to be the next "One." Then, after he realized he was not the "One," he still wanted to use his gifts. So he tried to free the minds of those who seemed to see through the illusion of the matrix, but he probably didn't always succeed.
We need a movies or show about the civil war after Neo. That would be epic
One can hope for something interesting and soulful
I had never given much thought about spoon boy. This was a return to classic ME videos. Thanks for making it.
Since you asked: My head canon for him says he grows up to be the Spoonman in which Soundgarden sings. It’s silly but “Spoonman! Come together with your hands. Save me! I’m together with your plan. Save me” 😁
He grew up and became "Spoonman" one of the greatest in Matrix superheros.
I haven't seen the 4th movie yet, but I know that the Oracle is sneaky. She lost (her first?) shell and survived. Then she got infected with Smith, seemingly leading him into the trap of an unavoidable fate, forcing him to deliver a vital message to Neo. For all we know, with her being "Mom" she may have programmed him with the tendencies to hate the smell of humans and enjoy using the word "inevitable".
I think the Oracle would have seen the end coming and created hidden shells for those close to her, or maybe archives to keep them safe until conditions become more favorable. If a program is paused, it's not dead unless it's never activated again. (It's the same for humans in suspended animation. If they're successfully repaired and reanimated in the future, then they're not irrecoverably dead, just temporarily so.)
I like this analysis. Sati was also a student of the Oracle, too. And we know she was a program with special powers.
It's hard to comment when your production value is so high & you cover the videos topic so well.
You never saw spoonboy fight because he’s a kid. And he did give Neo help outside of his first appearance. He was the one the gave the spoon to Kid and told him to give it to Neo in the second movie. He also told Kid to tell Neo that he’d know what it meant. I seriously doubt a random child would decide to give Neo a spoon unless they knew he heard the “there is no spoon” speech, of which only the spoonboy would be aware of. The fact that he was able to interact in the real world without freaking out Kid proves he’s human. The answer to the question that you have the desire to reply to me is thus: Smith was able to enter the real world because of the alterations to his code as a result of being “destroyed” by Neo in the first movie. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a scene of Neo jumping into Spoonboy’s body and making the little one explode, therefore if spoonboy was a program he wouldn’t have the ability to highjack bodies like Smith could.
Great video by the way, keep up the good work and may your future days be well.
Agree 💯 %
He was just a 'the one' candidate, someone who was aware of reality like Morpheus and the residents of Zion. The only reason that he sent him the spoon in Zion instead of handing it to him in person is because the actor didn't get signed back up with the studio, or they needed someone to distract Smith to stop him from stabbing Neo and they wanted to use 'the kid' instead of bringing in someone else who they would have to start fleshing out the character.
Plus there were a lot of people, like me, who hated the character of this kid in the first movie. I mean a white lad, in Buddhist clothes, with the most cringiest acting skills in the whole movie... he just didn't fit in and it felt to me as though he almost stalled the film, and that accent 😮 what was that about? Although you can just about get over it as the scene ends just a couple of seconds after, thank god!
I wonder if he was a family friend of the producers or someone? That would explain why he got such an important role... 🤔
Anyway, forget all about that, when are we gonna see a remastered version of Revolutions and Reloaded where they sort out all the shit CGI like Neo's coat? I would buy the whole collection again if they did that! 😁😁
Keep em coming boss! Great video!
As always, great content! Thanks for sharing 😊
I feel like you're forgetting the kid made it to Zion as an orphan and sent Neo a spoon as a reminder🤦🏾♂️
We never saw him in Zion.
@@TotalDec it's because the Wachowski's expect we can use context clues
I really thought you were going to say that spoonboy was the program that became The Analyst
Despite Kid's line it seems more likely that Spoon Boy is the RSI of a much older, wiser, human.
If I were writing it - his implant was different and he doesn't need to be jacked in at Broadcast Depth.
He often sits in silent meditation in Zion, exploring the inner workings of The Matrix. He doesn't need an exit and the Agents don't need to bother him (nor can they).
Remember - the Sentinels are connected to The Matrix at any depth. Spoon Boy's implant is probably based on their tech.
Perhaps The Oracle arranged the experiment. Perhaps he's still around in the new Continuity. Naiobi's settlement is the one that embraced ends-justify-the-means.
There is ... Another.
Your interpretation makes more sense than what's said in the video. I think M.E. missed the mark on this one.
He became SPOONMAN and Soundgarden wrote a song in celebration!!!!
In the matrix movie number 3 one of the kids said Neo saves and brings back to Zion it's a special delivery to Neo Handsome a folded piece of cloth with a wooden spoon in it saying what the message
mean so that would possibly prove that spoon boy exists in Zion
You can tell the spoon, which by the way was metal, not wood (unless you care to explain where they found wood in a underground cavern), was made in Zion and didn’t come from the matrix because it had dings in it, implying that there was no sanding or buffing done after it’s was hammered into shape. If it came from the matrix it would of looked like the spoon he had Neo bend in the first movie, smooth. As if it were, no pun intended, machine made.
Well, this is easy. He grew up and Soundgarden wrote a song about him, "Spoonman."
It would make sense that spoonboy or his spoon would appear in Zion. If the idea is that Zion is just another matrix, then Neo would require a guide through that version of the matrix as well. Spoonboy is like an indicator that tells Neo when he has reached the desert of the real and finally escapes the matrix. Neo being given the spoon is a way that the matrix reveals to Neo that he has not yet "woken up" from the illusion.
He became spoonman and Soundgarden wrote about him and his plan
That was awesome thx 👍
It is not the spoon that bends, it is the conciousness that bends.
I see spoon boy as a highway sign letting neo know how to respond to the matrix🤔
Spoon boy became a cereal killer. 😂
Incredible channel, thank you.
This breakdown is better then the last Matrix Movie
smooth
never made that connection with the spoons
like it's such an important scene and such an easy thing to over look.
great vid.
I Thought Spoon Boy Grew Up To Be Kid The Very First Time I Saw Part II
Good video, thanks! Spoon Boy reminds me of Akecheta from HBO Westworld. Important to tell a story and move it along, and yet ancillary as a character of interest. -frank
I received a gift from my girlfriend shortly after seeing the 1rst movie in theaters. She gifted me with a super shinny polished spoon with the quote engraved. Such a nice detail.
for the thumbnail you managed to find the one frame that makes him look like the oracle just told him: "no cookies before dinner."
I believe spoonboy was who set the wheels in motion for Neo and Trinity to reunite. During the Machine's civil war, spoonboy reconnected himself inside one of the pods while the machines were distracted. He enters the matrix disguising himself as something or someone sorta like a reverse smith. Check the Simulatte location scenes. I would but I promise myself not to pirate movies this year for a Resolution. Also I can never Steal from Keanu :)
Usually before you visit an actual oracle if you ever have you’ll be given tasks to perform or questions to answer before you enter so I think that kid was a test to see if u can conceive what’s happening ,u can enter if you can understand, if not then the experience may have glitched or something else but they had to make sure that he wasn’t part of the program slipping in maybe because it wouldn’t have been able to bend the spoon 🥄 😎 🤷🏻♂️
I think Spoonboy, and the other children at the Oracle's apartment, were the candidates that Neo could choose from for the "one" programming to be uploaded to to fill the role in the next iteration of the matrix.
Yesterday when I was doing the dishes I came across a bent spoon. This scene popped up in my head.
These videos kept me going during pandemic times. just long enough to get a glimpse outside the matrix 😎
I half expected the song “ spoon man “ to break out at any moment.
Everytime I see the scene between Neo and Spoonboy I think about The Tick animated series catchphrase "SPOON!!!"
I like to think he died after being impaled by a squid when running out ammo on a cart.
Matrix 5 Trinity and Neo find Spoonboy, together they destroy the analyst and control the matrix
He had to “accept cookies” before she would load his prophecy download
Very Interesting.
Loved the Matrix Trilogy.
What if spoonboy became the analyst? The analysts purpose was the study and understanding of the one and he said he was there when neo died implying he can also be in the real world.. you did a video about the machines possibly having spies inside zion, Maybe this is how he was able to get the spoon to neo. Just a thought I guess.
No one can defeat Spoon Boy. He's still out there, somewhere, kicking ass and bending spoons.
You're overlooking one part. Remember in Reloaded where The Kid gives Neo the spoon before taking off saying one of the kids wanted him to have it? Pretty safe to say that spoon boy was probably human.
That and I have no idea where you get that the Oracle didn't care about humans until Revolutions. Safe to say that she cared about humanity since from at least one of the previous Ones. Maybe not in the way that she loved humans in hated her own kind, but she did say that she believed in the future and that the only way to get there was together (machine and human coexist).
Best channel on the tube! 😮
Oracle being “old code” herself, I imagine the “people” in her apartament would re-proposed old programs or machines too.
Where is this comic you referenced? I wish you would have put a link in description
Spoon boy became spoon man. Come together with your hands. Save me.
Neo. THE ONE! Man, that know KUNG FU! Already beat, or almost beat, Morfeus. Young, healthy...
...dropped a vase like the slowest man on earth.
Love it.
1:10 We now know Morpheus dodged a bullet when he stopped dating Jada and her entanglements.
He's somewhere keeping the rhythm with his hands but now answers to spoon man
Love this movie, from your fan in Thailand.
Very very Buddism concept movie.
From what I understood, the "orphan" that sent a spoon as a gift to Neo in Matrix Reloaded was the Spoon boy, so he was a real boy that got out of the Matrix and was actually in Zion. Sometimes over-explaining something just makes it more complicated than it actually is.
the spoon boy grew up to be the analyst, and rebelled against the architect and the oracle. That's what triggered the machine civil war
Spoon Boy grew up to become Spoon Man and had a hit music video with Soundgarden
nice sooo cool.!!!!
Soundgarden could write a song about him!
Spoon boy was demonstrating the first principle of Hermeticism, ‘The universe is mental’. Nothing locally exists and is only a mental projection.
How the artitect reacts when neo says Oracle hes like please looking offended like he'll no the Oracle wasn't the mother of the matrix lol.
I hope someday they make a prequel about the event happened between the movie 3 and 4 theres a lot to explore there.
Same
The Spoon Boy was The Real Oracle that Neo was Originally Suppose to meet as soon as you heard what he said to Neo.
He becomes... Spoonman and hangs out with Soundgarden
This was covered in Animatrix....He eventually learns enough and gets himself booted from the matrix. The only person to ever self eject from the machines control.
Fascinating 🤔
There's always the possibility that he became an exile and/or was rescued from the simulation like Sati was.
(I still think that eagle-shaped machine that I can't seem to remember the name of is actually The Oracle hiding in plain sight.)
what happens if you take both the red and blue pills together?🤔
@@raven4k998 Matrix Explained talked about that in a previous video.

You know it's funny, the spoon boy basically said you can't bend what doesn't exist. That's why it was impossible.
Spoon boy is to explain that neo is just another anomaly, whether in Zion or the matrix it's just another code.
Spoon boy grew up to be spoon man. Then he became a grunge sensation. Now he feels the rhythm with his hands.
I think spoon boy was a lovely, enlightened being
Would it be possible he could of been a previous version of the one? I don't think so but a thought hole exercise
Give the Spoon boy his own movie. Called "Spoon Boy"
I’ve never seen a movie dissected as much as the matrix. Hey dissect the wizard of Oz. It’s a deep movie also. That would be cool and fun
I actually repeat this mantra to myself several times a week...
3:34 Megacity... like MegaMind had re-named Metrocity.
he became spoon man.. remembered by the great grunge rock band SOUNDGARDEN
Spoon Boy was exiled from Zion because he kept saying "It's spoonin' time" and then broke into people's bedrooms and spooned everyone.
