I read somewhere that the "Toto" song was an homage to her Wonder Woman character in that Wonder Woman was far from her homeland and virtually alone, with only her secrets and memories to herself. As much as she wanted to return to Paradise Island, she couldn't.
I remember watching this when it originally aired, and I loved hearing her sing! I have the 8-track Portrait, and I've put these two songs and another one I really love onto my computer to listen to! I love all the songs that she sings since I love her voice and her style! Thanks for posting this!
WOW! She sings almost as good as she looks! Darling Diana is so divinely beautiful. This was one of my favorite WW episodes-and I loved her singing. Those guys seeing,"Kathy Meadows,"singing looked like they wanted to ask her for a date after the session. What a Dream-Woman!
Think this was also the episode that had the BEST DJ of all time, the late great Wolfman Jack in it. Think he was inside that dance club because you can see em. RIP Wolfman Jack. Nothing but love & respect my man!
This was the one episode that I wish, when the end credits started, that they'd just continued playing the 'Toto' song underneath instead of cutting to the usual theme song. It would have been cool to hear more of this very pretty song without breaking the mood. I did buy the album, though, simply because of seeing Lynda sing on the show!
What a beautiful, *golden*, slice of West Coast, Americana! Thank you, Osolino. This episode was on the UK Horror Channel, yesterday. * THANK YOU, LYNDA! :)*
I can't believe I never saw or heard this! Wow! Not bad! And I recognize Rick Springfield in the "Red threads", but not sure about the guys to the left. I wonder if this pre-dates "Working Class Dog"? Probably. Cool Beans!
When MTV Classics was originally VH1 Classics, they had shown a 2-part story of the Batman TV-Series with Liberace appearing as a piano player & his evil twin brother who was blackmailing him. That channel should've also shown the 2 Batman episodes that had Chad & Jeremy, the 2 rock & roll singers from England as themselves, the 3rd season Wonder Woman episode Amazon Hot Wax with Rick Springfield guest starring and also the 3rd season opening episode of The Incredible Hulk with Mackenzie Phillips making a special guest appearance as a rock & roll singer.
And believe it or not YES that's actually Lynda Carter singing. She's an amazing talent. Have her music on cd & have the WW series on dvd. Yeah I know, I'm spoiled but it sure is fun. lol
The creator of Wonder Woman would've been proud of Lynda Carter for having the iconic role on TV for 3 seasons & he would've been proud of her singing in at least 1 of the episodes of the series, even though it's as Wonder Woman's alter ego,Diana Prince.
I have these two songs on my 8-Track, Portrait, by Lynda Carter! I really love these songs and others on that album! She has a great voice, and she really hits those high notes! Amazon.com has the vinyl Portrait still, but this was never on CD, and you can't get these songs on iTunes or Amazon.com for iPad. So, I put the songs from my 8-Track on my computer and then shared them on my iPad, so I always listen to these two songs!
Funny you should say that. Daisy's Song had some elements similar to Amazon Hot Wax. In addition, Lynda Carter and Catherine Bach each have Mexican heritage. But Lynda's other heritage is Irish, and Catherine's other heritage is German.
Just heard it for the first time, and I thought for sure that it was Karen Carpenter. I'm sure the second song, "Toto, We're Not in Kansas Anymore" is Karen. Has to be.
The creator of Wonder Woman would've been glad that comic book heroine was adapted to TV and he would've been glad to see Lynda Carter doing 2 songs in 1 of the episodes of the show's 3rd & final season.
@HowieP I don't know if someone has answered you in these two years or if you have founf something by yourself, but I want to answer you. As far as I know "Want to get beside you" and "Toto, don't feel like in paradise" come from "Portrait". Speaking about singers and Wonder Woman, a similar phenomenon happens in "My teenage idol is missing"; in that episode there is Leif Garrett. Leif Garrett is really a singer and he plays a singer in this episode (Lane) and his twin brother.
Ladies and Gentlemen, This is The Incredible, One of a kind, Lady Lynda Jean Carter, Singing in Her Spare Time, When She's not Spinning into, Her Wonder Woman Costume to Save Humans from their Greed and Stupidity
Who knows if the ratings of this series' 3rd season episode were very high when it was 1st heard in prime time because of Lynda Carter doing some singing?
It would've been good if Debra Winger did make a special guest appearance in the Wonder Woman episode Amazon hot Wax as Wonder Girl once more to see Wonder Woman,in her alter ego of Diana Prince, singing while on an undercover assignment in Los Angeles. Wonder Girl would be surprised to see Wonder Woman singing.
@HowieP In the beginning I believed that "I was made for dancing" was a fictional song, but I discovered he had sung this song also also in reality. In both occasion they use a true song and put it in an episode of Wonder Woman. Guido.
My favorite episode of my favorite show of all time. Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman will always have my heart. My girl!
I love Lynda Carter she is amazing she can sing really well .
Everybody was in this episode. Lots of Cameos. Love this. Great voice and the best of the 70's.
Lynda Carter has the voice of an Angel
She's got a great singing voice, rockin' it in jeans. Great work on "Amazon Hot Wax" guys. Great work.
Yes, she sings. Lynda Carter is one of my favorite actresses. I love this episode.
+GoddessAnjanee same
Wonder Woman singer ?! Wow, she's really amazing !!! ♥ ️👍🤩
I read somewhere that the "Toto" song was an homage to her Wonder Woman character in that Wonder Woman was far from her homeland and virtually alone, with only her secrets and memories to herself. As much as she wanted to return to Paradise Island, she couldn't.
Sing it Linda you rock.
Wow! She sounds like, the late, great and irreplaceable, Ms. Karen Carpenter!!!
Similar, but that's mainly because of the music.
I thought that too, and it is partly the timbre of her voice. The other singer she reminded me of was Linda Ronstadt, partly because of the style.
She does!! I Loved Miss Sweet Carpenter! ❤️
I remember watching this when it originally aired, and I loved hearing her sing! I have the 8-track Portrait, and I've put these two songs and another one I really love onto my computer to listen to! I love all the songs that she sings since I love her voice and her style! Thanks for posting this!

Those guys seeing,"Kathy Meadows,"singing looked like they wanted to ask her for a date after the session.
What a Dream-Woman!
Lynda Carter is a fabulous singer and actress. I have the wonder woman complete series on DVD. I watch them quite a bit.
I Love The Way You Sing Lynda Jean Carter, Especially, with Toto
Yes...she's REALLY singing these songs
Think this was also the episode that had the BEST DJ of all time, the late great Wolfman Jack in it. Think he was inside that dance club because you can see em. RIP Wolfman Jack. Nothing but love & respect my man!
This is an incredibly Beautiful modern Day Classic Song
Watching this 15 years later. Thanks for this gift!

ahhhh i love TOTO..she has such an amazing voice, not that it isnt enough that she is hot as hell, nah she is a beaty queen and a good singer :)
If Wonder Woman did her singing in her costume, the guys would've said to her that she's wonderful.
Sang this song at my aunt's memorial service in church 3 years ago.
Lady Lynda Jean Carter, Hanging Out with Mister Rick Springfield, Recording, Toto,I Get This Feeling, Were Not in Kansas Anymore

The creator of Wonder Woman would've been glad to see the iconic comic book heroine singing in her alter ego while on an undercover assignment.
His Mama. Was Mexicana..
Viva LINDA PER SEMPRE .. POR SIEMPRE. TAN LINDA ELLA 🤭😘.. and still Wonder Woman.
Wow, she and Karen Carpender sound similar. She sounds great on Toto.
I Will Always Love You, Lady Lynda Jean Carter!
Wish I'd known she was singer more than 15 minutes ago. Fabulous voice.
She sounds country too!
The creator of Wonder Woman would've been proud of Lynda Carter for having the iconic role on TV for 3 seasons & he would've been proud of her singing in at least 1 of the episodes of the series, even though it's as Wonder Woman's alter ego,Diana Prince.
Did everyone see Rick Springfield around 2:05?
I saw him in this episode before the internet.
Is he the man wearing red?
Lynda’s got it all. No wonder women she was Wonder Woman 😂
My favorite Wonder Woman episode also starring Michael G Botts from Bread
Absolutely beautiful... Thank you so much for that...
I have these two songs on my 8-Track, Portrait, by Lynda Carter! I really love these songs and others on that album! She has a great voice, and she really hits those high notes! Oh, Thank you for letting me know! I'm going to buy it! Yes!!
Have on LP
See the young guy in all red when she's singing "Toto"??
That's RICK SPRINGFIELD!!!
Her voice has that beautiful Karen Carpenter quality.
Yep mix that with the country of Barbara Mandrell and you have Lynda Carter aka Wonder Woman. Great Voice !!!
Considering she worked about 16 hours a day, she looks anything but high. Just good☺
Lynda does rock, so does Wonder Woman.
Lynda carter is a beautiful singer
Mike Botts, the drummer in bread is in this! Haha
Funny you should say that. Daisy's Song had some elements similar to Amazon Hot Wax. In addition, Lynda Carter and Catherine Bach each have Mexican heritage. But Lynda's other heritage is Irish, and Catherine's other heritage is German.

that it was Karen Carpenter. I'm sure the second song, "Toto, We're Not in Kansas Anymore" is Karen. Has to be.
@@1951don right, she sounds a lot like Karen wow!

She also sang the theme song for the movie the last song in 1984😊
Lynda owns my heart. But that song about Dorothy and Toto steals and breaks my heart all at the same time. ❤❤💔💔
The creator of Wonder Woman would've been glad that comic book heroine was adapted to TV and he would've been glad to see Lynda Carter doing 2 songs in 1 of the episodes of the show's 3rd & final season.
How do people not recognize her as Wonder Woman? WTH?
Thanks again for posting this video. Would you write Toto lyrics please?, because I havent been able to find it on the net. Thank you so much.
😇 *ENCHANTING BEAUTY* 😇
@HowieP I don't know if someone has answered you in these two years or if you have founf something by yourself, but I want to answer you.

Can you imagine this exact song shown on the Warner Bros. Sing Along collection?
1:53 I should get the Kleenex tissues out!
The Toto Song is So Fantastic
Wow! She sings like Karen Carpenter! amazing!
The Clarences love & support Lynda!
Ladies and Gentlemen, This is The Incredible, One of a kind, Lady Lynda Jean Carter, Singing in Her Spare Time, When She's not Spinning into, Her Wonder Woman Costume to Save Humans from their Greed and Stupidity
Didn't this song Toto (Don't It Feel Like Paradise) performed by Lynda Carter reach number 1 on the pop charts?
Rick Springfield is in this who had a hit with The human touch & Jessie s girl in the 80s
She's good!!!
great.
Beutiful. I love her

AAAAA!! Curse me (not) I'm so trying to go to sleep, this distacts from the fact!
Wonder Woman
Esse close no rosto incrível uma das melhores imagens da atriz, sorriso iluminador, beleza de Deusa realmente ❤
If Wonder Woman was invited to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at a football, basketball or baseball game, would she incline to do it?
lovely
@HowieP In the beginning I believed that "I was made for dancing" was a fictional song, but I discovered he had sung this song also also in reality.
In both occasion they use a true song and put it in an episode of Wonder Woman.
Guido.
La mujer más bella del mundo.
@HowieP What song you are talking about, since there are two songs and both of them come from "Portrait"?
Guido.
