I installed a mini split in my house a Della unit ever heard of that brand before? found it on amazon. Love your videos my the way I live in Oak grove KY near Clarksville TN
3 screws that you mention. It will be easier to remove when you took the front panel off. Coz youcan access the screw that hold the metal sheet to the base. After that you can lift the coil and the sheet in one piece. Hope it help you next time ^ ^.
Mini split should have been moved off the ground . Probably the reason why the coil was damaged from the weather . Besides that . This is actually the only video on the internet about replacing any mini split parts .
I’m new student, questions Before you brazed the coil , did you loosen a flair fitting to flow N to prevent OX from containment in your tubing ? Your Video wan not clear Thank you Pete
Always enjoy your content. You make it look easy enough for home owners. But we know when the camera wasn’t on. You threw something or said a choice word. Something didn’t want to line up right putting it all back together. 😁
Love your videos man but I would never do any brazing on mini splits without a low-psi nitrogen flowing. I don't want call backs one day with valve problems.
Can I be your helper for a day or a week? I live in Nashville and it would help me a lot in gaining more knowledge. I work as a new construction residential installer
Hate micro channel coils, haven't came across any mini splits with them yet. Where was the leak? I've had great success with solderweld aluminum brazing rods. Fixed a couple evaps n condenser coils with it. Even copper to aluminum. Great kit to have.
many cheaper mini splits in my country used to come with micro channel but almost everyone of them leaked within two years of installation. now no one wants to buy them so micro channel for mini splits is dying trend at least in my country. micro channel will work with low working pressures of r134a but it simply will not tolerate the high pressures of r410a & r32. many people will replace micro channel with normal copper coil in my area and they work really well without any leaks
Awesome to hear someone being a tech and knowing how to repair them. The solderweld kit is definitely a must have. It saves the customer money and you make the sale
@@dantemariscal8679 if the warranty is up, I'll give em options. If i can save em a few hundred why not. Plus it's hard to get some things right now as it is.

So i watched your's RUclips channel ,l liked your's work , good proper methods working and very neatness, good installation. Can i come for work? (training /helper) I did 1 year experience in india.
Microchannel would last with the old refrigerant, lower pressures. Can't handle the 410a. Scared of what r454b will bring. And now new carrier condensers are coming with outdoor aluminum coils 🤦
The lie was all Al micro channel coils would last longer than copper tube/ fin coils because no chance of formic corrosion to develop. Yeah we all know how long such coils last these days It's a shame
@@georgekolos5255 big shame. We need trump back to reverse the epas bullshit. Keep the 80% furnace and go back to r-22. R-22 is the most beautiful refrigerant there ever was
Micro channel is car radiator technology. Never meant to cope with the pressures of AC, due to the inability to flex without eventually leaking. Every one of those coils is a time bomb.
All us service techs need to get ready to be replacing alot more.. its coming. These coils stink! They are not able to handle 410a. Maybe the new refrigerants will have lower pressures.

Well no one else is going to call you out on it so.....HACK. You didn't prove that you flowed nitrogen during the entire replacement. Take tsk. That dbag down in Florida that owns K@l0$ would not approve of your work.......anywho nice little 2.5 hr job
So, clean work minus a bunch of rookie mistakes…. First off, clean the area around the coil and the internals. Then remove the outdoor coil. You did not use nitrogen while brazing a huge no no while brazing and huge no no on a mini split. Be better bud…
Pretty sad state of affairs that you are there replacing this. We should be better as a country on the front end of technology. This foreign garbage shit pisses me off. We are so much better than this.
I didn’t get something out of it , I got a lot out of it. keep the consistency going 💪 I know it ain’t easy but we appreciate every bit of it .
I would recommend purging out your gauges while your hooked up to the bottle so that you know your not putting the air in the hoses into the system.
Bro I would literally drive to Tennessee to meet this guy, he knows his shit very well. What at a smart dude.
I use that same bag. After many vetos and lots of others alike. I prefer that exact bag for all that it is.
Those samsung units are super quiet. Nice video Zac

Really enjoy the quality of work and legit process you take really sets a good example for newer techs watching your videos !! Good job man
Is it worth it changing the condenser coil to a mini split?
Did you purge with nitrogen when brazing or un brazing?
This video is a huge help! Thank you! May I ask what your torch setup is? Thanks again
Love the update on the videos 🤙
very good your services I always follow you from here in Brazil. I'm also a refrigeration mechanic hug 😃👍
I have done a few of these Samsung coils- any idea what caused this one? Also curious price on part for replacement coil.

What’s the part number for the replacement? Mine is leaking. Thx!

Quick and easy great job
The box that u keep ur micron gauge and fittings where can i get one
How much is doing that service worth? How much is that 410A Refrigerant tank worth in your state?
Can you use they Klein ratchet as a service wrench?
Are you brazing without flowing nitrogen into the pipes?

Lol with micro channel I would never chance that
Definitely should be; Coil is not that big though. Brazing was done quickly. vacuum was probably able to suck out what little Soot there was.

Evacuate refrigerant first?
how do you leak check a ductless split system. They seem pretty hard to work on.
