Give Devin a lot of credit. He is still a track noob and to pull off a mid 10-second run on a stock block Evo is awesome. I really hope to see Devin get more into racing man... He has perfect cars for Time Attack and Drag Racing.
When launching my evo I use the brake to hold it, get on two two step and release the clutch just enough to put the car under load. So once light turns just drop the brake and let the clutch out. Will help launch it better
He should build an 8 or 9 for time attack, and use his awd civic for the strip. Evo X are heavy cars and not the best for the strip, although they are fun to drive.

You gotta preload the driveline or you'll never get a good 60ft. You ebrake(hold the button so it doesnt lock), let the clutch grab some until you feel the car squat, then let off the ebrake and let out the clutch. You need to do it quick enough you don't burn out the clutch but too quick and the car will want to bounce back up and hop after you let the ebrake off

That car is heavy... If he wants to be serious about taking the Fk8 to the track, he needs to lighten it up a LOT. He will just blow the drivetrain at that weight and power. I know he has everything upgraded, but 3k+ is a lot of weight on these parts. I am 2600lbs and I have already blown a full billet PPG transfer case.
@@Apolac X is about 200-300lbs heavier than the Type R.. But also, the Mitsubishi AWD system is stronger than Honda's. Honda's AWD is really "rear wheel assist".

You'll get one soon bro. I got my evo x last year. With a few ets mods on it already. Got lucky with 85,000 miles on it. Still stock turbo but it pushes some power with the extra mods.
