It brings tears to my eyes everytime and ive been listening to metallica since i was 12 years old, im 43 now.
This song helped save my life. METALLICA has helped me through some very tough times not only this song. Great review thank you!
Metallica plays those instruments like they belong to a symphony!! Always a story to tell and Always well received and respected!! They're GOATS!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Metallica is my favorite band of all time this song has definitely saved my life battling depression I still battle it everyday I've been listening to Metallica since 1989 when I was 10 years old I'm a big supporter of you rick much love my friend
Master musicians master song writers. Deep af Metallica goes.
Lars drumming is far from master
@@rcnyoplait that's subjective.
I've heard this song hundreds of times, and while listening to it in the quiet with good headphones, eyes closed--it's still the perfect song to me.
Thanks for doing this beauty. 👊🤘
I was in High School first time I heard this song 🎵 80's ROCKED, nobody makes music like this anymore!!!!
I literally cried at one occasion listening to this track, it may seem like doom lyrics but it was a profound feeling when you feel alone, esp after absorbing that music can reach out to your core.
Best reaction ever! I got so much joy from watching you have so much fun with this long standing masterpiece. Gets you two comments, a like, a subscribe and a future donation when the money is right
This song helped me not end it multiple times. I’m 53 and still break down every time I listen to this song.
That means you still have a heart, and as long as you have that, we can survive anything.
My Fav Metallica song! I get to see them in November.
I have tickets for August 27th…I can’t wait!!!
That solo is the. BRidge that follows after death through underworld towards the initial light !! Fantastic art
This is what we need in the world, people wanting to talk to others if they're having bad thought like this, not people being stripped of their basic human rights and thrown into a nut house. That does nothing for them and only makes things worse.
I dont remember how many times this song gave me a little company when I felt down, good one :)
This song truly saved my life, I still have chills the night many years ago when I attempted to take my own life. It failed and I awoke still alive and I had this song playing on repeat and realized that my life wasn't over. Metallica has helped me through depression, anger, everything. Forever a fan. \m/
Master of puppets incredible song about addiction. Goes hard but deep lyrics
My episode happened in fall 90, but didn't let it overcome me until summer 91
I discovered Metallica in high school and it changed my entire perspective on music.
This album and Master of Puppets in particular blew my mind and I never looked back.
Fade to Black is one of my favourites, but I love a lot of their songs, especially from the first five albums.
Cliff is a legend! This song is powerful! Both positive and negative. Such is life. Great channel and keep up the good work. ❤
It's always great to see a new metal fan and someone who appreciates such an amazing song.
I love your reactions and thank you for always being so nice and brightening my day.
My favorite album all time. Every song a banger
Literally, any song off the first 5 albums is 🔥
This is one of those songs everyone should listen to and know about.
Thank you for being you!!! I had a rough childhood and would often cry myself to sleep at night listening to this. Weirdly, it brought me comfort knowing I wasn't the only child....Give it a listen: White Lion - When The Children Cry (Official Music Video)
Love you Melinda 🙏❤️most Definitely will be dropping a video soon to it. Bless you and your family
Back when this came out no one talked about mental health. We were always told to just get over it This song always made us not feel alone in the world. Metallica are masters at putting together music and James stands above all with his lyrics. They are personal to him yet vague enough for the listener to interpret unto themselves. My absolute favorite band ever- since about 1985 when I first heard them. James is a lyrical genius! This song is just so beautiful musically.
One of the best, darkest tunes ever! Thankfully, I'm old enough to have lived the 70s thru today, amazing musical changes through the decades~
Thank you for your words of encouragement and sharing the love.
Metallica is a god-level band. Enjoy! This album, And Justice for All, & Master of Puppets are great ones to start with. 🤘🏻✌🏻
Man. What a great positive reaction! Loved this vid
This song saved my life! And Master of puppets kept me off drugs!
OB milisha is where he wrote it. OB militia was a crazy heavy metal spot in New Jersey and there was another on Long Island called the house of burnt this is when metal and hardcore we're still underground
Thank you for being you, Rickk!! I'll hit you up in an email someday soon. I don't tweet, twitch, snap, Instagram, none of that stuff. This is the closest ti social media I wanna come. Guess I'm old fashioned. Lots of love right back your way, my brother. You give me faith in humanity again! God bless you! ✌🏼❤
This one hits me hard
Was 16 when this came out! Listen to mostly death metal now, but this is still my favorite Metallica album
I've seen Metallica six times and every time has been just as good as the other! Watch the live version of Metallica doing creeping death in Moscow
I just realised if you put the master of puppets album cover hands at the top it looks like Palpatine shooting out force lightning. Great reaction.
you went on ajourney on that solo! great reaction
it saved a lot of people
Love it bro! This song helped me through suicidal tendencies
Best reaction ever!
In 1984 when this was released it was anathema to speak freely on suicide or anything pertaining to it. When I heard this song for the first time around '87 or '88 i wasnt but 7 or 8 years old and didn't understand it much then. Fast forward 5 years and it's early 90's a topic you still didn't breach, but James Hetfield did and to me at the time Metallica were a band of Gods and Hetfield was the almighty, and he being a god having the same feeling I didn't feel alone
the lyrics were dark, but the music was uplifting
Best Metallica song tbh
While in the mental ward at the VA Hospital I wrote the lyrics to this in crayon on wall of my room. The docs were not amused
An interesting aspect is the song fading out before it completes. You can hear the end of it on a live performance.
An interesting artistic decision. The song ends during its prime - much like what suicide does.
If you are a newby to Metallica your mind is about to be blown. The priority song to check out would be "Damage Inc"
First on the Metal Edge label then given to Elektra later.
the official video will make you cry !!!
I can relate to connecting to music and I can't explain that feeling that tells me KoRn is responsible for me being here today. There's not any one song, the first two albums are littered with moments and experiences that just shifted my perspective
I've never personally been in that state, but I have known people who were and have pointed to this song. It was a somewhat strange concept to me at the time, but I didn't understand the power of relatability. Just the acknowledgment that they were not alone and there was someone else out there who gets it, walked them off the ledge.
Great song. My all time favorite is Metallica's song One. Do the lyric video so you don't miss the lyrics. Great reaction
When I was in Nuclear Submarine School, my fiance left me back home, UNFORTUNATELY I REALLY FELT THIS SONG then, wrote the lyrics to all my friends and tried to KILL MYSELF, didn't work. Spent 3 days in Portsmith Naval Hospital psych ward. It was a delayed event from Submarine school
Hey my Brother 🇺🇸🫡
@@shawnamericanrebel5676 🫡 Hey Back!!!
I'm sorry you had such a hard time. I'd like to just take a moment to say thank you for volunteering to serve our country and I'm so glad you made it. I hope life has brought you much joy since those dark days. ✌🏼❤
@@snakeinthegrass7443 I'm still here, thank you.
❤
Great reaction 👍👍….you have now stumbled upon the most attractive and most seductive rabbithole in all music…Metallica’s 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥. These have are geniuses when it comes to instrumentation, lyrics, song structure, switchups etc. There are several reasons why they are considered one if the greatest bands ever 🔥🔥🤘🤘. After 42 years they still today sell out every arena worldwide 🔥🔥🤘. Next one; Master of Puppets….the lyrics and instrumentation will blow you away
Your a good man
They already had Kill "Em All.
man in video being followed by his family falls at the graves of his military brothers graves!!
sometimes, we just need to be heard by someone... anyone. vent and unload, without feedback needed. most times, talking out loud to someone will help you realize what you need to do to improve the outlook of your future.
ICE NINE K|LLS - Farewell II Flesh
they were 18 19 and 20 when they cooked this shit g
top 3 line in the band
How you been Rick, been a minute since I had your videos pop up.
SUBSCRIBED 🤘🤘🤘
Nice to see someone new reacting to this love it I got a recommendation for you if you like this. I would recommend watching the pain remains trilogy by Lorna shore honestly good solid points made in all three songs for sure
Do some Sound Garden. Black hole sun
You have to listen to Master Of Puppets first. It’s about the problems of drug addiction. Make sure you read about the lyrics first.
Oh God please help me!
Another good song for depression is nutshell by Alice in chains
By the way the song fades to black
😅😅good one nice pun there😅😅
Have you heard anything from Falling in Reverse? He exorcises his demons in his music. You can hear it. Pick anything from their catalog. I believe in God and believe he's on his own spiritual journey. Popular Monster or Watch the World Burn, or his most recent release Last Resort Reimagined, it's Papa Roach's song
dio whit sabbath (die young alive , urgent )
bro u spoiling the damn solo with your humming
I think you missed some of the meaning in the song by not following the words and mostly focusing on the riffs.
It's playing to fast😮
Had to stop watching couldn't handle the noises you kept making or the facial expressions and massive head jerking.
My favorite album all time. Every song a banger
