- Who installed my sisterlocks? That is the #1 Question I am constantly asked about my hair and today I will address why I’ve never answered the question, UNTIL NOW!
I know it’s been a minute since I’ve done a sisterlocks update but today I share with you all why I switched from a Sisterlocks Trainee to an actual Consultant. My experience and my true feelings! Also included, is how I found my new consultant via Instagram.

Wow, we think alike...I changed also because I initiated the conversation, she never told me about my hair, I had to ask the questions and the
answers were short ended..I'm a detailed person, so I wasn't satisfied with her answer, so I changed Loctitian..I'm not bashing her either but my inner spirit said she's not the one...
Totally agree. I feel the same way about my consultant....it’s just something about her that just don’t sit right with me 🤔

I totally understand everything you said. I watched all of the video. I got my sisterlocks done Dec. 9, 2020. I was searching for someone and had about 3 online consults. Which really didn't sit well with me. I can't explain it, they didn't give me any info. I hadn't seen in a RUclips video. Then I did a search for sisterlocks near me, called a couple of numbers and one phone call the lady said "come in and let me look at your hair, we will talk and go from there. I was like, huh? She asked that I come in after things died down at the salon. We talked and she gave me all this info about the origins, etc. There was just this connection! She gave me a price, which was more than I wanted, but did not hesitate to say ok, I will be here. Her knowledge and gentleness and kind of special treatment really resonated with me. I mean I am a potential client that is about to fork over a large sum of money and come to you FAITHFULLY every 6 weeks. That is a special kind of relationship. I am so happy with happy with the results and the continued patronage.
Welcome to the family! I remember when my sisterlocks were at your stage! I love yours, they looking good. I just subscribed! I now retighten my own. :) So sorry you experienced that with her.

I'm doing my sisterlocks for Christmas as a surprise for my friends and family reaction. Mostly for myself though. I've been going back and forth with myself for weeks.

Thank you for your transparency and honesty. My first time with a natural hair stylist was similar. She was unprofessional. She came in late and stayed on the phone the whole time I was there. I had told her that I had to be somewhere and needed to be out the chair at a certain time. She took a food break after coming in late. It's hard to find a good stylist who is professional and doesn't monopolize your time

I am in Temple TX but getting my install in Maryland. (because of a recommendation and saw their locs) I reached out to several sister locks consultants in TX from the sister locks website with no response. Where is TX are you getting yours?

I can relate to your experience since I had - notice I said "had" a loctician who was the same but worse than your loctician. Mine would chat on the phone over my head for an hour or more. My would forever gave me "F---ked" up hours like 6 a.m. Then she would not turn on lights. The only lights would be from the television and the coal miner light she used to look closer at my locks to retighten my locs. She was evasive answering my questions and or asking me questions. What I discovered is some of these ungrateful, cocky locticians have extremely poor customer service skills and don't care because you are now at their control after the installation. Those locticians who switch up are out for the money only and they dont care about you and your lock journey because they know it's a small group of locticians in most locations. Beware and thorough when committing to selecting a loctician.
