A great hideous monument to one of biggest problems in Perth - low housing density (properties too large) which drives prices way up closer to the city and forces many people to live absurdly far away.
I've noticed even Perth has gone up in price heaps recently. Perth used to be a gold mine for affordable housing but now it's hard to get something nice, near the beach for 1M
The problem isn't property being too large, the problem is the real-estate salesmen... And mass immigration with low supply, which they take full advantage of.
@@fordskool Real estate agents are the lowest of lows when it comes to society, especially in Australia. Just a bunch of unskilled workers leaching of everyone else because people are too lazy to sell the house themselves
No, thank you, you can keep your mansion. I would rather be a peasant. Way to much cleaning. Money changes people, less is best, makes you more humble.
WA consistently out performs all other state's in a range of economic metrics due to our substantial and diverse natural resources sector. If you think there's nothing in Perth you probably don't get out much unfortunately, life is what you make it not where you live
The guy's just finished 9th grade English and throwing out as many adjectives as he can.
Funnily enough, I barely passed English. Definitely more of a maths kid than English
Don’t mention it was a psychiatric ward.
Actually didn’t know that, that’s cool. Wouldn’t mind getting haunted by some cute 1940s crazy ghosts
You didn’t know…lol
my dad used to live here, he had schizophrenia and delusions of grandeur
Delusions of grandeur are a requirement for the buyer.
If you can afford it, you are not delusional.
@@erwin734 If you don't think wealthy people suffer from delusions, you don't know many wealthy people.

Who was the owner …
Apparently it was originally a mental ward, although I'm not sure who currently owns it. My bet would be some old mining magnate
I’ve seen that before
It looks institutional. Definitely not a homey or comfortable space for living.
It's for people who regularly have to entertain executives and high net wealth individuals. It's not really supposed to be comfortable.
I’m amazed that it doesn’t look institutional, I expected it to.
How about a new voice. Looks like somebody has lost a listing.

30 million? hahahahaha
it's not even US dollars or Euro's or Quids lol
@@stronzer59nope, good old AUD lol
I don’t get how someone can be so rich in perth. Theres nothing here!
@@TheRubberStudiosASMR I’d assume mining, big money over there
Umm…mining!?
Absolutely, some big mining CEO. Even train drivers in the pilbara get paid 500k a year. @@acl6872
Perth has the largest density of millionaires in the country, due to the mining industry as mentioned already.

Too bad its in Perth. Premium price to live with trash.
Trash? Very few Trump supporters here so it's quite nice, clean air, white sand beaches etc. Not sure what you're looking at but certainly not Perth.
@@Tom-q5d Wtf Trump supporters? Why would we care about American politics? Not sure where your head is but it's certainly not Perth.
Perth is in my top 3 cities in Australia to live after Sydney & GC. If it wasn’t so isolated it’d be top tier imo
