Shitty situation and exactly why I'd never rent out my car or bike. Really stand up support from the ride share company though. Glad they sorted it out for you and quick!
It sucks that people can’t just be honest and own up to their mistakes. Glad to hear Riders Share took care of you tho. The new badging is definitely a nice upgrade 👍
You're a brave man, I would never let anyone ride my bike lol. There are one or two riding buddies that I would let take mine for a spin, but definitely not randoms.
Yeah see the people are supposed to be licensed and everything so it hasn't been a problem. Until this duo pulled a fast one so the non licensed rider can ride it. They did me dirty
@@RickyBobber yeah that sucks man, just for the record I'm not criticizing you for hiring your bike out. Just my own thoughts on the idea of renting her out. Hope you don't have anymore of these experiences going forward
@@TheGarthinator oh no worries man, I didn't even take it that way. I've mentioned it before. Maybe there's something wrong with me but I just think of it as a collection of metal, rubber, plastic and glass. It's not my wife or anything 😆. Sure this particular one is sentimental because it's my first one and that can't be replaced but I don't have a problem with a licensed rider, riding it. Keyword "licensed" there's a lot of people that wouldn't rent their bike out but would 100% hop on someone else's
Glad you got it fixed but the extra cash was for time and hassle imo. No way I’d rent out my bike, no matter the money. It would just irritate the hell out of me that it was dropped.
As an Airbnb host (similar kind of platform) I totally get It and understand your frustration. It pisses me off when guests break or wreck something up and then say …. “ I didn’t do it” ! Bastards. Thanks goodness the ride share insurance came through and covered your expenses. Cheers amigo !
Yeah. I live in Imperial Beach. I rented a Road King Special last weekend. All went well. I found Riders Share about a year ago when I travelled for work and would rent bikes while I was out of town. It’s a good service if both parties are respectful.
Damn I definitely wouldn’t loan my bike to anyone lol 😂 What were you thinking? I guess if you planned on getting rid of it but since you’re keeping it 🤔
I'm mean I've been doing it. 5 or 6 times was perfectly fine. Then this guy without a license got his hands on it. I did not approve. But yeah that's probably it for me with Riders share
@@Valorcycle not anymore really. In the beginning it rented enough to cover my payments and insurance but it slowed down in 2022. I've rented it maybe a total of 5 or 6 times. I think I'm done though. Stop while I'm ahead. I want to keep this bike forever and I can't do that if someone totals it
@@RickyBobber I'm only considering it because I have the Challenger and don't ride the Scout as often. I'll do some more research and see if there are other scouts in my area up for rent. If there are then it's a saturated market so wouldn't hope to get that much business from it. I also want to keep my scout as long as possible and worried some schmuck would ride it into the ground and then leave me with a messed up transmission.

For I'm thinking I'm done renting it out. Imma stop while I'm ahead. Thanks for watching, man

Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately we can’t order the lever in the Netherlands. You guys in states have the good stuff

Seriously. So I found out they're insured by Loyds of London though. Huge company. They even insure J-Lo's butt I think
@@RickyBobber Sounds like they can afford the 600 bucks repair ! 😂
I would never do a rider share. Can’t trust people.
Dang hate it got dropped but good thing you were able to get it fixed.
Yeah man. Was lucky it wasn't worse
Glad it worked out for you man! I definitely like the badging off of the dark horse better🔥🔥
Thanks man. Yeah could have been worse. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
That sucks man… I’m glad the company covered you though! On another note… We’re famous Ricky! 😂😂
Isn't that cool?! I had to bring that up tho. Just a subtle flex😏
Funny that I just found your video. I was looking at the website and favorited this bike. I might be hitting you up for it in the near future.

@@bhouse92101 oh nice! Small world, I used to live in IB also.
I love my bobber too much to let *anyone* ride it unsupervised. I'll let my friends
ride it around the parking lot, but that's as far as I go . . .
still amazes me that alot of drivers there make room for bikes
Cali, son. But San Diego more than LA even
@@RickyBobber yeh man true that
Hate obvious liars. Like own up. Glad you ended up coming on top from this
Yeah man. Had the claims process been shit, I'd be doing a much angier video than this one. Hey thanks for watching!
Rough.... At least it worked out
That would be my greatest fear when renting out my bike. I am glad Ridershare acted so quickly.
Honestly I wish there was a way this guy could get a ticket for having no license. (Guy #2) thanks for watching!
Bro lane splitting is so bad, I know its legal but it pisses me off when I get startled by a lane splitter.
Bloody Hell. Damn Rider Share is fast!
It was pretty fast tho
That’s awesome!
The subs I mean.
@@RebelScoutmaster thanks!!
Thank God for crash bars. They definitely saved what would've been a lot worse

I was thinking about doing this but so scared my bike would just get abused and then I have to deal with the maintenance.
That is a huge risk. I forgot to mention it while I was recording but if it wasn't for the crash bar, it would have been way worse
@@RickyBobber overall would you say its worth it listing your bike for others to rent? Does it impact your insurance?

I agree though nothing worse than a liar 🤥
💯
How are those gloves riding in the cold. I ride at 4am 46 degree going to work and my hands get a bit cold… with regular leather gloves
These aren't made for cold either. It's been getting to high 40s here too when I ride to work at 7am. I'm looking for something warm also.
Where did you find that new badging?
Indianmotorcycle.com! It's from a Pursuit Dark Horse. I made a video on it
where did you buy your mirrors?
Revzilla. There's a link in the description
