Omg haha thanks! And gosh lol Lucas was a hot mess through and through, but I truly believed he loved both Brooke and Peyton, just very differently. Lucas has this toxic thing where once he's hurt, he rebounds hard into another relationship and then falls for the rebound lmao Although Peyton and Lucas weren't officially together before he dated Brooke, he wanted so badly to be in a relationship with Peyton, then once she rejected him, (because she was scared to jump into a serious relationship) he nearly immediately started dating Brooke. I love them because it is just a very genuine and strictly platonic friendship between a heterosexual male/female. Despite Lucas' confusion about his love life, he was ALWAYS a great friend.
I agree with your reaction to Haley and Lucas’s relationship they are best friends and brother and sister and Brother and sister-in-law. They are truly the best friendship on the show. Lucas is the most misunderstood character especially when it comes to his romantic life. One of the common misconceptions about Lucas is he’s indecisive or confused about what he wants or who he wants to be with. his MO is after being rejected by Peyton is to fall for the next girl that wants him. and contrary to belief what he says to other women is not the same as the things he says to Peyton. When another relationships he is constantly having to reassure them that he love them which I think he does but when confronted about his feelings for Peyton he tells that girl that he loves them but he never says he doesn’t love Peyton. He only states that he love them and that he doesn’t wanna be with Peyton. His I love you usually sound more like in a assurance then an affirmation. his biggest problem is trying to stick on a path or with a decision that he made even if it’s the wrong one. Peyton only wanted Lucas when he was happy with someone else , he wanted her in the beginning and she denied him so many times and he got with Brooke and she seen how happy they were and boom now she want him they cheat around and break Brooke heart and her go Peyton “I can’t do that to her” after they already got caught so she pushed him away again and then he got back with Brooke after trying to win her back here go Peyton again “I love Lucas” breaking Brooke heart ONCE AGAIN and fast forward a few years he’s with Lindsey and happy and she’s regretting turning down his proposal and wants him even tho he’s happy with Lindsey but she was smart enough to leave Lucas and Lucas finally just went to Peyton
You do know Lucas and Nathan are brothers right? So that mean Lucas and Haley are in laws but even before she was with Nathan they were bestfriends for years and it shows they can be friends without feelings

@@KDEEZYBABY2ODeezySquadAt the beginning of the show Nathan didn't like Lucas because of their dad and Nathan knew that Lucas had a crush on his then-girlfriend at the time who was Peyton but Nathan and Peyton didn't work out because they were always toxic and he would be mean to Peyton by messing with her, he doesn't know that she is into drawing and during a party at his dad's beach house he saw Lucas flirting with Peyton out in the patio and so he decided to show a videotape to the whole class of Lucas mom and their dad at their prom and how they were going to be a happily married couple and live in a big expensive house and Lucas got bad and pushed his brother into the wall and during this time is when Nathan took Peyton's car without her permission to give Lucas's best friend Haley a ride home because Lucas had left and this is when Peyton realized that she was like Lucas's mom because she was letting Nathan treat her badly just like how his dad treated Lucas's mom and during this time Nathan ends up crashing Peyton's car and Lucas stoped to make sure that they person was okay thinking that Peyton was the one driving and Nathan was just going to leave it at the crime scene and walk away and blame it on Lucas or Nathan would say that Peyton did it by saying that the last time he saw her that she was pretty wasted and that she probably did it and the next day she asks Nathan were her car is and he told her that his friend Tim took it to take a girl named Theressa home and she told him that I never have told my girlfriend a ridiculous lie because Theressa got a ride home with someone else and this is when she decided to break up with Nathan and she gave him a bag of things that he had left at her house and the next day at school Nathan asked Peyton if she was still mad and she told him that she's not mad and that their just over and he didn't even know that it was the death anniversary of when her adoptive mom passed a way because he never asked and so they decided that they are better as friends.
In the beginning of the show, the producers had a plan to put Lucas and Haley together but then they changed their minds at the last minute because they didn't see any romantic chemistry with them.
