With everything going on in the real world and the MCU, I'm glad they were able to climb out of all of it and still come up with a fitting tribute to Chadwick. (I have had childhood brain cancer since August 2013, so hearing about his death hit hard.) It's a breath of fresh air after everything else in Phase 4.
Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole did an excellent job with the sequel. To contend with Covid and the untimely death of Chadwick weighing heavy on all their hearts, was a monumental feat to deliver this movie to us and I thank them.
@@too2great8 🙄🙄but if you read your original comment and you put it in that framework...you basically said it was ok to kill off Chadwick. Its you shills that really piss me off

Ryan Coogler has earned my respect as such a creative individual. From the very beginning he had a vision for this film: grief and was eloquently able to never waiver from that vision by highlighting the life and legacy Chadwick left behind. Definitely the best marvel content this year!😊

I think instead of killing M’Bakku, they would kill Nakia and the loss of his love and mother of his child would be his struggle Think about how hard all of that would be with the child plot on top of it all
Ryan and Joe did the very best they could with what they had. The actors def did their thing! I enjoyed it. I would actually love to see the directors cut. The tribute the late Chadwick was very honorable.
Highly recommend the podcast! It was sad, heartfelt, and you get a great perspective from Coogler about his thought process and it’s all hosted by Tanehesi Coates which was amazing!

Number 3 makes a lot of sense is that one of Chadwick's last moments in the MCU was he and Killmonger confronted each other in the ancestral plane in that one episode of What If?
I think Coogler and Wright were heavily impacted by Chadwick's death, that's not to suggest that the rest of the cast wasn't, but the need for an outlet filtered into both story and performance. Critics can say what they'd like, but in a business built on pretense it's not often that a crew is so genuine and open to such vulnerability.
My guess is that they decided to keep the funeral private and not release the information until after the burial. Also half the avengers are either busy or dead so..
