    Omg finally, I couldn’t find any information using the 2015 Sedan brakes. Appreciate this.

    No drilling would have been required if you used the CTS-V 4-piston brembo calipers, they use the standard 12mm bolts. Pretty sure the rotors are the same size, so these 2015 SS rotors still would have worked.

      The G8 owner was not able to locate any CTS-V calipers at a decent price. He found the Chevy SS calipers locally at a very good price.

    2004-07 Cadillac CTS-V brembos are m12 mounting. It seems to me that Holden VE 2006-2012 are m12, holden VF are m14

    The brake line from the car goes to the underside of the caliper?

      @@kali_g8578 I'm located in NorCal east of Sacramento. My friend Pat, that owns the G8 in this video, had me over to film/help him with the install.

    Did you have any issues with the calipers not centering around the rotor? I am installing on an early 2009 and the calipers are making contact with the front of the rotors. This was tested with OE and aftermarket SS Sedan front rotors.

      We did not encounter that problem on this vehicle. The owner of the vehicle has not reported any problems after this installation was completed. The front rotors used were from my former 2015 Chevy SS Sedan.

    is this caliper going to clear the ppv steel wheel?

    • @RetroCarGuy530
      @RetroCarGuy530  Год назад

      I don't know if it would or not. This was installing the Chevy SS front Brembo calipers on a 2009.5 Pontiac G8. I have not researched whether this caliper would fit within the steel rim of a Caprice PPV.

    Will 2005 Cadillac cts- v match to 2011 caprice ppv?

      I really don't have a definitive answer on that topic. I'm thinking they might fit. I would suggest posting your question on the newcaprice.com website and someone on that site should be able to answer that question.

    Can these calipers be installed the same way on the PPV?

      Looks like in general the Chevy SS Brembo front calipers should fit, but there seems to be a different banjo bolt used to connect the brake line and/or different brake lines.
      There appears to be a thread on the newcaprice.com website that covers this general topic.

    What size rotors did you use ?

    • @RetroCarGuy530
      @RetroCarGuy530  2 года назад

      The rotors were the stock 2017 Chevrolet SS Sedan front rotors.

    Hows the brake squeal with this setup?

    • @RetroCarGuy530
      @RetroCarGuy530  3 года назад +1

      I believe the owner of this car stated there was a small amount of brake squeal, but I haven't heard from him recently to know if that changed with additional miles.

    Pads are installed incorrectly.

    You really don’t need to drill the bracket out, go to gm and get the ss caliper bolts!

    • @RetroCarGuy530
      @RetroCarGuy530  4 года назад

      The G8 GT has M12 bolt holes and the SS has M14 bolts, so yes you do need to drill out the holes to accept the SS M14 bolts.
