That second one looks like a duffel bag. I also have one of the hanging addition but I found I never send it
Yes the second one is like a duffel and it’s really light but only 2 wheels
I just bought it. Eagle creek is very good quality. I am iffy about the zipper on this one.
This one looked great just didn’t have enuf pockets for me. I too like the brand.

My selection are 1. Expanse 4 wheels 30 inch 2. Gear warrior 4 wheels 30 inch 3. tarmac xe 4 wheels 28 inch.
I think Gear warrior 4 wheels 30 inch can not open all the way. How about Expanse ?
You mentioned Gear warrior has more pockets than Expanse. But Expanse is a new design with heavy duty wheels. Do you notice any difference in wheels ?
You have used 4 wheels Expanse carry on and 2 wheels gear warrior . What is your suggestion ?

I didn’t like the Tarmac at all. Looks nice but not enough pockets.
Expanse does open all the way like a book. I love everything about this bag.
Gear warrior opens all the way but like a drawbridge if that makes sense.
This is based on the carry on sizes. Bigger ones may be different.
I for sure would go with a 4 wheel. The gear warrior is a really nice bag and is more duffel/sporty like hiking style equipment with lots of nice features also. Probably more features than the expanse to be honest but it is also more expensive.
Expanse is a more simple design and does have less features but again less money too.

I have an older international-size expanse. I never thought to actually USE the outer pocket. Duh. I did want a bigger bag, so I got the Tarmac in the 26 inch. I hope the bigger size will make up for the lack of expansion. I did worry a lot about the lack of outer useful pockets. But the bigger one does have 2 sections to the mesh pocket so that's something. We will see. Maybe the wings will help with compression? @@allthingsreview777
They brought back the expanse which is what I ended up
Getting. I really like it and the gear warrior is a good one too I have an older one.
