Ao Oni might look pretty dated today, with a mediocre plot and 90% stock RMXP assets, but I still think the design of the monster itself is great, the music is very fitting, and the interface screw at 17:12 is absolutely brilliant. You REALLY don't expect anything scary to happen when you open the pause menu. It's really clever.

The shear fear I've got from this game is so scary. There's a reason why people tell don't turn your back just run and look forward it makes you feel at ease that your having distance but this game you don't have that luxury you always see he's just an inch away from you and that sets a damn adrenaline rush to keep running and find a hinding spot somewhere.
