I love this scene and I feel it's really underrated. Here's when all the dynamic between Ianto and Owen changes. You can see the diference between before and after this conversation in all the episodes. After this, they are closer and all the following interactions are more lighthearted (ex: Tintin joke).

Ianto is such a sweetheart. He puts up with Owen's shit and tries to help even when Owen's being a douchebag.

I miss ianto, I can't watch season 4 of Torchwood because without him it's not the same at all, by killing Ianto they killed the soul of Torchwood 😔😪
