- Sewing should be fun .... that's what you need to build this table;
1 worktop about 50 x 100 cm
4 table legs
1 wood panel about 30 x 60 cm
8 angle connector
screws & bolts with nuts
about 1,20 m self-adhesive felt
I like this lady! She knows what she is talking about! My wife is in for a sewing table surprise.
Thank you so much for your comment, best regards and have a good time 🎄🎄Lilo
You wouldn't believe it!. I searched YT a few days ago to get ideas n "how to". Found very little.
I ended up doing what you've done. Even have the same Janome.
And today, YT sends me yr video. Great job.

This video could not have come at a more perfect time. I have a big sewing table upstairs, to big to move and all the family stuff is downstairs. I wanted to add a sewing table in my Livingroom close to fireplace for winter. Sewing cabinets are outrageous. Plus you have to assemble. I happen to have a 6 foot fold out work table. You've inspired me. Thank you lovely lady. Have a great day.
Hello lovely Dianna,
thanks for your comment, you will enjoy working on the table, it is so much better than without,
best regards - stay healthy Lilo
Thank You so very much for this video it is the best instructional video on making this table. I bought a large table and have been wanting to cut an insert. Now I know how to make the pattern and the window connectors are brilliant. again thanks.

I have been searching for a sewing table. Nothing is fitting all I'm wanting it to be. This is such a great idea. I'm gonna try it.
... just make sure to take all measurements correct, to be able to get to all switches, or maybe also watch this video for an overlock table: ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html

Thank you! I’m going to use MDF Board, painted, then covered with StoneCoat Countertop Epoxy to make it smooth and strong.
you probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Paul Edison Instablaster ;)
Thank you very much, it surly help I’m going to build mine.
it is my pleasure - thanks for your comment
You could also keep that cut out part and put it back in when you want to use the free arm
YES Diana that you can also do, but I don't use the machine for that, have a nice day and stay healthy
If your very careful cutting the opening for the machine, you can use that for the machine rest.
Bravo! good job! I love it!
Thank you very much for your comment, greetings to you from Germany 😘
Nice idea. But it doesn't fit my sewing machine since I have the spool underneath the machine and always have to change colour or the thread and I would have to continuously lift and put back the machine. But the idea is really good I ever buy an industrial one that has the spool above the machine. I learned something and it's cool, thanks
Than this will be the right table for you, watch this video.
ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html
Absolutely great advice!
I would love to make it . But my bobbins it’s front load one so I have to lift it very often though.
That is no problem if you do it as I show in this video, here is the LINK:
ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html
Great video. Thank you 🙏
It is my pleasure, have a nice day
best regards Lilo
This is brilliant. But I wonder how you change bobbin? Do you have to lift your machine up for that?
Hello, on my Janome the bobbin is put in from the top, but if your machine has the bobbin below underneath, than this table would be better for you, here is the LINK: ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html
best regards
Lilo
Thank you a lot 🥰🥰🥰

In India, the sewing machine used to come with its table. Of course, they were with that huge wheel running with the small wheel of the machine with a special leather cord and it was operated with foot pedal plate...e.g. Singer machines. Now with this newer portable design, it is difficult to find the appropriate right table. Putting it away when not need to use takes its toll! WHERE to keep when we want to use it? Really a big dilemma! I liked the idea but don't have all those tools to cut the top and with shoulder problem, it is even more difficult to attach legs to the table etc. Thanks for this wonderful tip, though.
Dear Meera in my favorite country INDIA,
so nice to know from where you are watching my videos. I have stayed many times in your country and I love the people, the culture and your fashion the traditionell Saree, I worked sometimes in Bombay as a singer/entertainer at the CENTAUR Hotel directly next to the airport, but I don't know if it is still there now. GOOD MEMORIES ... take care and best greetings from Germany to you Lilo
Fabulous video and info thank you 😊
It has been my pleasure, thanks for your comment
Thank you so much for the tutorial
It is my pleasure, thanks for your comment
How far is the machine from the edge of the table? I want to make sure that it’s a comfortable distance to sew. I have the desk and will have the hole cut out as you have done. Thank you.
Hello Deborah,
on a normal household sewing machine from the front edge about 10 cm for the cut,
if it is a Over- or coverlock (as they have a little table in front) 7 cm is enough
I hope this will help you,
regards Lilo
What is a knee lever? Great video!!!
With the knee lever you lift the presser foot, so you have your hands free for the sewing work, it is connected to the machine and is at knee height when you sit in front of the machine
Tanks for your comment
Best regards from Germany
very helpful , thanks
VERY NICE VIDEO GOOD IDEA THANKS
thank you
Makes me wish I didn’t have a Pfaff, because it’s not a flat bed, the front slopes away
Well Bella,
you could make a extra insert, to put on top the slope to make your Pfaff flat, than you can use the same table - just an idea !
best regards and many greetings
Lilo
Well done! I'm going to make mine like yours. Thank you.
My pleasure
GENIUS!! I am looking forward to making one exactly like your video. what is the name of the saw?
Also, Thank You for sharing Wonder Woman!!
Hello Crystal,
thanks for your comment,
we used a normal little Jigsaw, that worked alright for us,
wishing you success for your table, it is so much better to work with it.
Thanks for this video
This is wonderful..thank you so much for sharing with us..what size are the brackets?
Depending on the depth of your machine and how low the machine has to go into the table, you have to work out and get the parts at your building market, for my machine I used on each corner 2 brackets of each 5 cm, these must be connected at the appropriate length
So we don’t need a drop for a sewing table? All the machines have a drop. What is the purpose of that? They’re all so cheaply made you’re very correct and have bought two different brands which I am returning. Unfortunately I can’t make my own table. I live in the UK so any suggestions will be great. Thank you.
If you can not make your own table for the machine, you should try to find a handy man, show him my video to build one for you, and it is really not difficult
Trying this right now
What type of legs did you get? They look like metal.
Hello, YES they are normal once to buy in the building store or online, nothing special, much fun while building 🎄🎄
How do you change bobbin if it’s a front loader? And what if cables attach too low at side? Any ideas?
In that case I make this table and make all cut outs fit ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html
@@JohnBabyface thank you. My husband will love this ❤️
Perfect ty very much $
It is my pleasure, thanks for your comments
What did you use for the base and the legs?
The top is from a kitchen top, the legs from the builders market and plywood for the base
Zabardast
Muito bom
My pleasure
THANK YOU for your comment :-)
Nice
May I know the type of sewing machine? Janome?
HI, my is the. -- JANOME S5 Sewing Machine
I liked the idea but I have a machine with a bobbin below the surface of the machine. I want a table with a lift function.
Have a look at this video; ruclips.net/video/Fo_hoUd9Ggw/видео.html
That will be the one for you
Well t
Thank you so much
