Absolutely perfect explanation. I had a no start on my 03 S10 and spent 2 hours checking ignition switch, clutch safety switch, battery and then starter. Then I woke up...... and found your video. BAM..... the 40 amp ATO fuse was blown. Swapped with another fuse (ABS) and it started immediately. Now.... swap back, get a new ignition 40 amp and then troubleshoot for a shorted wire (prob in the harness, or thru the firewall, or ??). Thank you much. Great video.

I followed your advice and everything was fine, so I stopped for a minute and I notice that one of my ground cables was loose, my truck have 3 on the read back lights under the bed. Thank you for your advice, just a feedback check ground cables. My. Truck is a 00's chevy s10 ls
apparently the ground for the fuel pump is the wire near the rear bumper that bolts to the frame. i spent 3 hours trying to figure it out and am still not sure im right but its running now
Holy SH******T! I just spent all the time and money replacing my S10 fuel pump and it still did not work. I swaped the fuel pump relays like mentioned in this video and it cranked right up!!! I was about to go buy a new pump.
I like that advice at the end about switching the fuel pump relay with the horn relay. My 2001 S10 2.2L has been bucking at steady speed. Fuel pressure is good. Just had new plugs and wires. A friend suggested either throttle position sensor or fuel pump relay next. So I switched the relays like you mentioned. We'll see if it helps.

I noticed your gas gauge went to empty the first time you tried to start it and it wouldn't start then the second time the gauge stayed half tank and it started, im having exact same problems can you tell me what is causing this. IK this is a old video but your advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Yeah. I lost soark rolling down the road. Still had 14.2v, good pressure at shrader port/fuel rail. Turns over w/good compression. Zero spark. Swapped every fuse+relay in box abd door in case, new cap/rotor,new coil+icm, new plug wires ..still no spark.
Question the issue I’m having is the wire from clutch switch relay is loose somewhere I’ve done the bypass but still sends bad signal how can I just bypass all that from the fuse box
My 2003 S-10 with the 4.3 Vortec automatic trans and 2 wheel drive intermittingly will start fine without extended cranking, other times it will try to start but the starter kicks out to soon and flood the engine. I have replaced the distributor with a metal one, replaced the coil pack with new ign. module, the fuel pump is two years old, new alternator in 2023, and after all this, it still F's up. Now I am thinking it may be a relay, what say you? BTW, There's only 140,000 miles on it and I live in Michigan. It may go 3 or 4 days with no problems, then all of a sudden it won't start just cranks and tries to fire, oh, also new plugs and wires, it's driving me nuts. Btw, it throws no codes.

I see more lights lit up on yours than shows up on mine, but it is not focused so I cannot tell if/where the CEL is supposed to be.
I just need to know where that cable goes, that is hooked to the front of the fuse relay center box…… my terminal is broken off the other end, and I can’t find out where it goes!!! Pulled the starter out, and I do not see any evidence that it went there, and I’m about to scream!!! 😆 thx

I have a bravada that runs,but has a draw. i pulled all fuses to find a drop in amps, i thought I found it to be from the radio fuse. After i replaced all the fuses& relays it cranks but won't start. I do have fuel pressure. Is it possible to have a relay in upside ? Any suggestions

I have a 1998 chevy s10 pickup, the air conditioning was blowing out hot air, went and bought a AC freon to refill it, noticed that the AC motor wasn't turning on and off, so was told to take fuse box cover off and use a paper clip to try jump the AC to see if would come on and off , and it did work, so removed the paper clip and the cover of the fuse itself came off and fell where I can't reach it, I stuck fuse back in place , and went to start truck and it wouldn't start, one time it will ding ding, and the next time try to start, won't do anything and then when you take key out ignition, you hear this fuse like noise from outside , but can't tell what it is, then stops . Is the truck not starting because the cover came off of fuse itself, or did I mess it up by putting paper clip in fuse holes? How can you tell if a fuse is bad, truck always starts right up until I messed with this fuse box. Any help would be appreciated.

Then you have an open circuit somewhere between it and the ecm. Might have to replace the ecm
You don't have to pull fuses to check if they are good. Just use a volt meter.
camaro fuse box has some that light up. Turned over doesn't start...replaced fuel pump. Gas getting all the way to throttle body

Does your engine not turn over when you attempt to start the car? You may have an ignition switch problem
when checking the 10amp crank fuse with a test light, are you suppose to get light on both ends or only one side???
Both sides. A light only on one side of the fuse indicated a blown fuse
