we need more customization and a fix for the tactical view on PC. It's a pain to control right now and it shouldn't be too hard to implement the mouse for that.
I've actually come to love Cassandra. I didn't think I would. I thought she would hate mages, and just all in all be an religious zealot with no sense of humour. She's really changed though if you compare her to how she was in Dawn of the Seeker. She's very reasonable, and has some cute and funny scenes. She's the one I became friends with first even though I play as a chantry-hating mage. Vivienne, though.. That's a whole other story. She's just a bitch. If she calls me "dear" with that condescenting voice one more time I might stab her. I love a templar (sort of) and hate a mage. The world really has gone mad.
Oh no, I hate Ashley. Well, she might have great character development, I don't know, but I always let her die in the first game. All that human elitist talk, I couldn't stand it. I love Jack though, but I don't really think she's anything like Vivienne. And I probably love Jack because I'm just drawn to these kind of people in BioWare games. Same thing with Morrigan. I'm obsessed with breaking through that shell and making them like me. I also really like Sera, but she just disapproves of anything my character does, which is sad.
I romanced Cassadra and let her ride my iron bull ;p (made a iron bull clone) if you romance her she opens up and shows a whole new side from her. Kind of like Morrigan in Origins. Also Vivienne is a bitch but thats the society she grew up in. I do not fault her but she does get on your nerves sometimes. So what do you think of Iron Bull?
I sort of love that I hate Vivienne. If I was just indifferent about her, it would show bad writing. The fact that I really don't like her shows how skilled the writers at BioWare are. Also, are you asking me? I love Iron Bull. I thought he would be just "the fun guy" who drinks, fights and sleep with everyone. But he's the perfect combination of fun and serious. Finally a Qunari who has a personality (besides Tallis). Definitally going to romance him next!
Jaquiline Kangas I agree. If you did not hate Vivienne then it would show bad writing and bad voice acting. We both know when something is said a certain way it implies certain contexts. When she says something its like a slap in the face if she doesnt agree. Also if you romance Bull id feel he'd just crush you. But in a good way....that make sense?
I like Vivienne, she get's shit done and I like her idea of playing with the hand your dealt as opposed to whining about what you don't have. Plus she's nigh on invincible after getting her specialisation
I love Cassandra she is always in my party and she is my romance and Viv is starting to replace solas for how awesome she is and that she is a KE so she just kills everything. lol :)
Sounds like a plan. Have fun owning people with Vivienne. On a side note i do wish there were more straight male romance options. I already did Cass so Joesiphine is next.
Is anyone else having trouble unlocking the dragons bane achievement for xbox one? In my collections it says I have killed 10/10 but looking at the achievement it says 9/10. The one that didn't register was the Abyssal high dragon.
Da HairySon This is a common thing. Try reloading the game and fight the last dragon once more. If that fails, kill the fereldan frostback in another gamethrough and the achievement will pop (She'll fall quickly at level 11 with a champion or a KE). Or deal first with the most powerful dragon and for last kill Hivernal, that's another workaround... You don't need to kill all the dragons, only kill 10 dragons in all your games.
Vivienne is OP as hell. Solo every dragon on normal difficult with almost no difficulty, while 2-3 levels lower than the dragon. Except for the lvl 23 high dragon. Had to bring in the party once the little dragons came into play
Spoiler Warning for Cassandra ------ Sort of wish at the end of it when they were saying how she is gonna fight they included with righteous zeal, and varrics smutty novels
So far, Vivienne looks like she'll be my least favorite companion. That, of course may change with her usefulness in gameplay, and her personal background, subplots and such. It's just that her combination of leading the Loyalist (represented by the "Oh, we must have pissed someone high up to be cursed with magical powers. Woe is me!" girl from Origins, and pretty much nobody else so far) fraternity and being a political player smells fishy to me. I won't know until I play the game whether she'll live down to my expectations. Is the approval system more like DAO or DA2, by the way? The general idea of forming a bond of trust with someone you generally disagree with was nice in the latter, but the way no one left the party unless you're deliberately trying to drive them away (or giving them away to someone who wants to enslave them) kind of wore my suspension of disbelief thin.
Having played 40 hours, i have not a clue, ive not really pissed off anyone majorly yet, and also you don't get a gauge for if they like you or not, at most you get a lil pop up saying they approve or disapprove, and shit, but nothing to tell you where they stand besides how they greet you gets cheerier or more assholey depending
The Croaker I suppose I'll need to experiment. Or just do my own thing in the game and later check out any strategy guides and such to figure out what I've been doing wrong this whole time with the magic of hindsight. Thanks for the heads up.
Well, unless you're a complete ass, no one will hate you. There's no gauge to feel where you stand with someone, but you can always fix the broken ties with a talk or a companion task... I didn't stood very well in Solas' eyes at the end but he was still normal to me.... This is not like origins where a miscalculated word could make someone go away, you really have to be beyond mean for them to get pissed.
Unless you are going to play as a mage and specialize as a knight enchanter, you will want Vivienne in your squad. She can wreck dragons almost by herself if you spec her right.
I LOVE Vivienne but be warned she is extremely opinionated 9 times outta 10 she will greatly disapprove more that anything else especially if you want the mages free but so far I'm loving everyone except for Sera she irks my nerves lol
I think I will like Vivienne. There is not enough Pro-Circle people in the series. After Anders I don't want another Pro-mage freedom person on my team.
Well they could do a DAO and have her just a lighter skinned white model (Duncan). But they instead decided to represent Rivain appropriately. Call it tokenism, whatever. I don't use her much in my main playthrough (Magequizitor + Solas), but I'll make sure to bring her on another.
Love the story line, graphics are decent. Hopefully the developers will soon have a patch for the game's fatal flaw. The game as it stands is zoomed in so close it is difficult at times to see anything other than the limbs of a tree or the wall of a fortress.
75% of a great and memorable RPG experience is about interesting characters and dialogue. That was what made Baldur's Gate 2 and Dragon Age Origins so great (the uncontrollable Zevran, the anarchist Morrigan, the 'savage' Sten, the deluded Leliana, the immature Alistair, and of course Loghain) - and exactly what made DA2 so disappointing when compared to DAO. Cassandra obviously has some of the edgy/extremist personal traits that are needed to create dialogue and intrigue. Sadly that doesn't also seem to be the case with Vivienne. Hopefully the game will prove me wrong. ;-)
Actually, that's pretty opposite to how the game actually plays out. Vivienne either agrees whole heartedly or greatly disapproves. Cassandra is the one more open to other ideas and decisions the inquisitor makes that she maybe wouldn't have made herself. She even says at one point that she may not always agree with your decisions but she respects your choices. Sera is the one who I found very hard to please. She's an immature elf who hates magic and "elfy" things. I played an elf mage :l
Yes bioware I absolutely love your game, I also really like my sardonic pithy qunari mage with a BRITISH accent. For some frakkng reason he now has a boring and shit , flat American accent I put up with all the minor camera angle and audio bugs I even could sort of tolerate the game breaking crashes freezes and dialogue freezing that would make me skip important dialogue to progress through the game . , I even could try to look past the broken as shit cutscenes that ruined the epic ending ending of the grey warden quest but this is the last straw , Bioware I love you but please please PLEASE GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND FIX. THIS. GAME.
Vivienne: "My knowledge of arcane is only rivaled by my grasp of political games in Orlais." the Inquisitor: *Dresses Vivienne in Plaidweave and takes her to Val Royeaux and the Winter Palace*
LOVE using Cassandra for her practically infinite guard as well as her speed. She and Vivienne were both at my side for the first dragon battle.
I hope you took Bull along to, there's nothing quite like fighting a dragon along side Iron Bull ^_^
Taarsidath-an Halsaam !!!
thesebster88 Is best if you bring him along for the Desert dragon... he will yell "I love you boss!!" and wet his pants as if it were christmas.
The ambition & the believer of the Inquisition.
Simply loving this game.
***** How about some custom skyhold cloths crafting. I rather walk around in my armor then what they gave me
Love the game! Would really love if you guys can support my channel! I deal heavily with dragon age and creating fresh content
we need more customization and a fix for the tactical view on PC. It's a pain to control right now and it shouldn't be too hard to implement the mouse for that.
heartsickruben I truly beleve they focused PC on using a controller, always need more customization.

Cassandra its like Ashley of Mass Effect 3.
Vivienne its more Jake+any character that like to provoke also of ME3.
I loved Sera.

KE?
Jack Daniels Knight enchanter its her specialization or mage specializations, its really powerful and you can solo dragons with it pretty easy.
Ill try it on my second playthrough. My first was Cass, Solas, and Varric. I want to trade Viv for Solas
Jack Daniels Yea she is awesome, i am using cass, solas, and Bull but for my warrior play through i am going to use her the whole playthrough.
Sounds like a plan. Have fun owning people with Vivienne.
On a side note i do wish there were more straight male romance options. I already did Cass so Joesiphine is next.
I love Vivienne. I use her all the time. Her bitchiness always makes me laugh
best game i have ever played so depressed i beat it....
I love when she argue with varric xD
Meet Vivienne & Cassandra.
Great job.. I love this game!

Da HairySon Hey there's a really great fix called play on Playstation.
Michael Harvill The truth hurts doesn't it?
Cassandra
Vivienne is OP as hell. Solo every dragon on normal difficult with almost no difficulty, while 2-3 levels lower than the dragon. Except for the lvl 23 high dragon. Had to bring in the party once the little dragons came into play
Knight Enchanter truly is the new Arcane Warrior.
I
vivienne has the best plans for mages . She understands a majority of mages can only contribute and prosper in a controlled environment.
I adore cassandra
Cass
Cassandra with a sword and shield is great. Cassandra with a two-handed weapon and focus in two-handed/templar powers is amazing.
Cass is easily my favourite companion.
This is why Cass has been my favorite since DA II. Anita Sarkeesian got nothing on this game.
Spoiler Warning for Cassandra ------
Sort of wish at the end of it when they were saying how she is gonna fight they included with righteous zeal, and varrics smutty novels
Cass, my guuurrlll. Lol
Oi really? Putting minor spoilers in Cassandra's personal mission? Yeesh.
So far, Vivienne looks like she'll be my least favorite companion. That, of course may change with her usefulness in gameplay, and her personal background, subplots and such. God Of Urging not a problem mate

When I freed the mages she didn't like it but I got her approval back when supporting the idea of the circle.
I think I will like Vivienne. There is not enough Pro-Circle people in the series. After Anders I don't want another Pro-mage freedom person on my team.
Viv is great
whats the name of the song from 0:00 to 0:30?
Tragically unreleased. It was only played during Haven siege.
Vivi is my favorite, I love ice queens and that she's the only black follower. tokenism at it's finest
Well they could do a DAO and have her just a lighter skinned white model (Duncan). But they instead decided to represent Rivain appropriately. Call it tokenism, whatever. I don't use her much in my main playthrough (Magequizitor + Solas), but I'll make sure to bring her on another.
Two of my best characters in my group for the first play through.
Love the story line, graphics are decent. Hopefully the developers will soon have a patch for the game's fatal flaw. The game as it stands is zoomed in so close it is difficult at times to see anything other than the limbs of a tree or the wall of a fortress.
subscribed bro your channels :D want to play this games
Cassandra is one of my favorite and Viv is one of my most hated.
Same here.
This just looks better than veilgaurd
As a Dwarf and supporter of free mages, I feel like Vivienne and I are gonna hate each other's guts.

Cool but still black screen
Sweet Jesus
*•*
Btw btw Dragon age...:can you get the schematic of Vivienne's Headset?
ME is out. Do i have to wait much longer now? *puppy eyes*
Yes bioware I absolutely love your game, I also really like my sardonic pithy qunari mage with a BRITISH accent. I have way too much time on my hands
Vivienne: "My knowledge of arcane is only rivaled by my grasp of political games in Orlais."
the Inquisitor: *Dresses Vivienne in Plaidweave and takes her to Val Royeaux and the Winter Palace*
I hope an expansion is being made. I finished the game and I really feel bad ending it. I need more! Please more dlcs...:'(
Sure, I dislike Vivienne, but in battle she's a beast!! I always have her in my party, plus the style. "Thank you darling" 😍😍😍
Oooh Elementalist. Yup im going for her
The cooler version of ESO
Please Morrigan.
Awesome
Does anyone know the name of the song in the background? I really want to now the name.
Brandon is correct about the last track featured during Cassandra's segment. The others are from the original score by Trevor Morris.
Also go on soundcloud for my mixtape
guys i haven't play the game but please tell me is Alistair in the game? Even a 10 second scene would be fine :)
Yes, he is. A bit more than 10 seconds. I made him a king in Origins. Don't know if he shows up if he's still a Grey Warden though.
nice thanks man :)
Atalay Dedemen
Happy to help :)
Cas is one of my favourite companions, she is just amazing, not so big in Vivienne, however.
Cassandra sexy beast
I really don't like Vivienne. Don't get me wrong, her character is great, and very well written. I just hate that type of character xD
Vivienne and Cassandra, two of the most annoying DAI characters. Avoid them if possible. Take Solas/Dorian and Blackwall/Iron Bull.
Game's already out and you're still doin' this, mates? This should'a been done a long time ago.
