I have a 97' ZR440 Sno Pro that's a beast on hard packed surfaces but once you get into deep, heavy NY powder it takes a good few seconds to let it hit the power band. And the old Suzuki twin cylinder still runs like a dream. But it's one of the most reliable snowmobiles i've ever had.
well like you said it's not meant to be a long distance sled it's meant for aggressive riders, a race sled converted into a trail sled by not having to premix and be able to run pump gas not race fuel. there are plenty of other options like the limited and LXR if you want a sled that is less punishing.

If you want trail friendly just get the lxr version.

I have no idea why Yamaha and Arctic cat, can't listen to Snow tracks recommendations and merge the Phazer's 500 4 stroke with cats ZR chassis, instead of both companies offer settling for mediocrity!

And by the way...... you guys should show / share more of our wives / the ladies talking about and sharing their perspectives on sleds. Might get me out of the dog house once in a while.

I'm 13 and would this be a perfect sled for me. I like jumping and we go on lots of trail rides??
Summit 600 I can Solve all of your problems remove the wheelie bar are you sled it can the arm rear part number 2704-096 these sled wheelies like the no tmrw with this part. The problem with theses they build them so the ski doesn’t Rise for the trails riders
i jus got this sled
they need to simplify the oil changes before they add more 4 strokes to the line up... talking all makes and models...
b they do this on purpose so you bring your sled to the deal
so why cant you take long trail rides on this sled?

Joe Neault right? and the 03 500 firecats made 103 I believe. it's baffled me since the release of the 500 sno pro how it makes less hp than motors from the early 2000's
yeah but remember those f cat motors are a big difference from the zr motors
Joe Neault yea they were. but y would they put detuned cylinders without power valves on this machine? y wouldn't they just put the f5 motor from this firecats in a newer better chassis with better suspension? it would've made this sled way more desirable
