I like how you're doing the reviews-I'm following along with the show. I''m set to start ep 8/9 next and will then watch your review. I hope they get a season 3!
Nick, I must respectfully point out that there have been Starfleet ships with holo-emitters on every deck. The USS Prometheus was designed this way so the EMH would not be confined to sickbay and the holodecks. It makes sense to me that Starfleet would keep that modification on their ships, maybe even standardize them, if they have EMHs. As for the Doctor, given what we know of his character, it also makes sense to me that he would keep wearing the mobile emitter in environments where he didn't need it, so that he was not tied to any confined location, even if it was a whole ship. Without the mobile emitter, he would not be able to leave the ship, for example, and given how much he has come to value his freedom and mobility, it's quite in character for him.
Yeah I get your point but just seemed odd that the Doctor was wearing his emitter on board the ship if there was holo emitters in every hallway on every deck. If that's the case why even bother having a holodeck if every room on board can generate holograms...?
@@Sci-Finatics I'll Chime in. With the Doctor's Mobile Emitter, it all has to do with where his program exists, he would have to transfer himself to the ships databanks to leave his emitter behind, but would be tied to the reliability of the ships systems, if the ship lost power he would go out like Hologram Janeway. If he remains in the mobile emitter, he stays active. After everything that the Doctor has been through, it gives him more agency just to keep his program in the most reliable place, which is of course his emitter, also being from the 29th century, and non-replicatable by the current technology that exists, it may have performance benefits from the hardware alone, better processing speed, or data access time, the future equivalent of a gamer having a monitor with a better refresh rate. Though that last stuff isn't technically cannon it makes logical sense. Thanks for this vid! I love the new season of Prodigy!
@@Sci-Finatics Because how else is anyone meant to run a holonovel during their down time? You can't just start playing The Adventures of Captain Proton in the middle of a corridor. And how would everyone have played parises squares without a holodeck? If you try and play in your quarters, you're going to crash into the furniture.
Episode 6 really gets confused mainly because I can't tell which one is which. I think the reason why the Doctor still wearing his mobile emitter is because in case the Voyager-A lost power, or the Holo emitters gets damage.
I must admit at first thought before the reveal I thought the Kazon maj was gonna be controlled by a malfunctioning Borg vinculum or something else Borg related
(Minor spoiler) ... You couldn't just skip episode 7 and go onto episode 8 because Zero's suit needs to get damaged. A Kazon space race wasn't technically necessary but it would still have required another plot line to take its place. I wasn't particularly keen on the Kazon plot, but not because I thought it was filler. My main issue is how Prodigy has portrayed the Kazon in general. They seem way more advanced than they did in Voyager. How did they get so much more advanced within such a relatively short period of time?
When flying in2 the blue star, to make it more realistic they shuldv fired a torpedo into it, but thats probably an adult way of thinking. I have enjoyed all of S02, no bad eps.
these episodes were just a filler and they kinda set up whats gonna happen next...and i don`t wanna spoil it but its great, just great to see that one again!!!

You have no business talking about star trek when you have a han Solo pistol in your shelve 1:59
