I made this dip on New Year’s Eve (afternoon) for my grand-daughter’s first birthday party. Everyone enjoyed it! Not too hot, and very tasty! For a little laugh, I have to tell you that this recipe was the very first time, in my 60 years, that I’ve ever touched a jalapeño!! I think I surprised everyone because I don’t usually make anything with a “kick.” 😊Happy and Blessed New Year to Sam and everyone here!! ♥️❤️
Love your channel…..I have been making this for years but not as a dip as a casserole. I use frozen corn and diced pimento instead of Mexico corn. You are correct this is the most requested thing on the menu.
That looks soooo good, I think I'm going to make this dip for New Years Eve!!! I made your crinkle peanut butter cookies for Christmas and I have to say the are the best peanut butter cookies I have ever had!! I love all of your recipes!! ❤❤❤
@@SugarSpunRun the funny thing is when ever I was researching different recipes on my computer your website always came up and I would choose your recipes because I felt yours were always on point!! Then I found you on you tube!! I love it!!!
This looks delicious!! I don’t have the Mexican corn or any leftover, but I’ll open a new can of the regular, because in the Fall I take my red & green leftover bell peppers from my garden, and run them through the food processor just to get a fine dice on them, then I freeze them together in small freezer bags, so they’re easily added to recipes, and I think they’d be perfect for this, because they get very soft after being frozen. I even have frozen jalapeños on hand, but I may have to use pepper Jack cheese, but all the better, right? Lol I was already making bacon for brunch today, so I’m just making extra, and we’re trying this today! Yay! Thanks so much for sharing.:) Hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and many blessings to you and your family for 2023!! 🎉☃️👍
I ate WAY too much dip Christmas Eve but I just had to watch your video. Oh man this looks so good, and it looks healthy too. Yep, I'm rolling with that. I'm with you in that I don't know if I'm sharing it if I make it. 🤣
@@SugarSpunRun OH I got to tell you. I made your sugar cookies and took them to our Christmas party. The next day one of the littles (there's an actual dozen of them) came up to me and very nicely asked if I would make more! Those sugar cookies are a real pain to make, I'm thinking he'll be happier with your chocolate chip cookies! 🤣
That looks so good! I make a similar dip, but I use 2 cans of regular corn (instead of Mexicorn), 1 can of Rotel (instead of jalapeno), drained, 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed. I'll have to try adding sugar to the cream cheese/sour cream mixture next time. I serve mine cold and *always with Frito Scoops LOL WHY have I never thought of adding bacon???
How could You, How dare You, using your baby's baby spoon to gut out the Jalepeno...... ( but that made me laugh ) Great video... and this dip was a Hit with my family... thanks..
If you don't like spicy food, I imagine you can omit the jalapeno. Also, can you make this dip with one can of Rotel and one an of sweet corn? By the way, it looks delicious.
I just hit the share button, then Pinterest, and pinned it to my Dips/Appetizers board, that way I can easily access it, and I always know where everything is. I even have different categorized boards for more commonly used recipes, that makes them easier to find. I don’t hear about Pinterest as much these days, but I still find it very useful.:))
My grandmother would turn over in her grave if she saw you dump and waste that bacon grease! You don’t save that to use when cooking green beans or any other dish you want to give a savory kick to??? Maybe that’s just a “southern” thing.
That's a great idea. I don't typically like to go through the struggle of finding a way to store it until needed but those are some great ideas. It would definitely add a lot of flavor to your dishes. :)

How was Merry Christmas

You could omit the jalapeno. Substituting the rotel and sweet corn would make a different flavor profile, but that doesn't mean it would be bad. :)
Looks great. What to try this for our family whtie elephant gift exchange party in ealy January. God Bless you and your family in the New Year.
I hope it's a hit!
"I'm not sharing this."
Will the dip be just as yummy without the jalapeno pepper?
You definitely lose a bit of flavor but you could certainly leave it out. It will still be good. :)
How come you didn't use a Mexican cheese
You made me laugh with your comments 😂 thank you ♥️
🤣 I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
