People don't realise how talented and impeccably professional Wogan actually was at what he did.He always made it look like he was doing nothing much, and he took alot of guff from some quarters for his success. R.I.P to both of these gentlemen.🌸
I miss Gerry, Gay and Terry Wogan, they were real entertainers, there's no one to compare to them nowadays, they were great personalities and we're a joy to listen to, they will always remind me of my younger days. Rip all sadly missed.
I have a sense from watching Gay Byrne, Gerry Ryan, Ryan Tubridy, Pat Kenny, who whole lot, a pure sense of being jealous at the success Terry had. They look down their noses at him, joke about him and question his Irishness because he had the balls to get off his arse, say RTE is not good enough for me, I want better, and made a brilliant career at the BBC. Whereas the rest stayed, and it is as if he left the sinking ship, how dare he approach they give. Utter jealous. Good for Terry! Go where you know you can do better.
Eh Gay was offered millions to move to Boston after doing a hugely successful summer show on WGHB. The offered him syndication throughout the PBS network. He WAS also a huge success on Granada int he 1960s. You're basically talking bollocks.
@@davidoconnell4100 Gay Byrne started out his television career at Granada Television, however he decided that by 1969 he would settle in Ireland and never ventured back. Tubridy is the one I truly despise, as he really wants to be a success here in the UK.
Wogan and Byrne were our greatest broadcasters - Ireland has gone a bit two-faced now. Gerry was a gobshite last week but now because he's died, he was a saint. Neither Wogan nor Byrne could be described as a mouth. Having said that I listened to him every day. That says it all.
7:36 - "The wound is always there". I know exactly what Terry meant here. I have experienced the death of my father when I was 10 years old, and the wound NEVER heals.
Terry was the most successful Irish broadcaster in audience figures and financially but certainly not the greatest. Gay was the greatest/best TV broadcaster all. Gay produced and presented (simultaneously) live TV with the most challenging content. Terry was light entertainment, prerecorded. Terry (by his own admission) didn't have Gay's skills. He deserved an award but the title was wrong.
Sad that both Gerry Ryan and Sir Terry have gone now. RIP to both of them
And now Gaybo.

I realize it's pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to watch newly released movies online ?

Gerry's face at 5:43 is priceless, you can see him thinking : Jaysus, I never thought of that...."
We're still here mate!
This is great but I can't hear it! The volume is ridiculously low!

He fucked off because he knew Gaybo was the man in RTE ...
You will be sadly missed Gerry. RIP
Both gone sadly. RIP
