Finally...The Zaku that takes down the great Alex... This is my favorite version of Zaku...not to mention Bernie Wiseman is among the best character in Gundam lore...
Pilot 115 A Gundam that was meant to be destroyed by the end of the story... also the pilot was a test pilot and couldn't even use the full potential of the gundam
Jetfire48 True but the idea of it, although there was the Exia but that fight ended in a draw with both Sesuna's and Graham's unit taking heavy damage from each other.
he also used a lot of traps though, had he taken her on head-on, I feel the fight would have been a lot shorter, and even when he did take it down he died too, matter of fact the Gundam pilot still survived.
For only being visible at a very weird angle once in the OVA, the B-Type Fritz Helm is certainly my favorite. This design is just epic. Speaking of the Origin line, I know it isn't in the anime, but am I the only one who REALLY wants a green recolor of Char's Zaku II? Great review, say hi to Chris! ;)
Observations from the Bunker yes but would you rather pay £17 for a char zaku , £20 for a ortega zaku , £1.50 on dark green , £1.50 on olive green and £6 for brushes and that totals £46 and for a c5 type you would also need a £24 zaku cannon and a £15 char zaku 1 ms-05s bringing you to £85 for two zaku 2 c types or one c5 type plus runner cutters for a total of £89 Or would you rather pay £24 for a zaku c/c5 type And for the other price you could have £72 for 3 zaku 2 c/c5 type and £17 char zaku 2
Favorite Zaku kit ever. The lack of a holding hand and the subpar open hand were disappointments, but with a quick bit of parts swapping and paint, it becomes practically perfect.
Someone once asked me why bandai makes separate hand kits for HG models when any given one is going to come with all the hands it needs anyway... then I remember cases like this.
This is probably my favorite version of the Zaku 2. I was never a great fan of the Zaku's original design. The only other Zaku 2' that I like are Char's Zaku 2, HG from Gundam The Origin and the MG Zaku 2.0. I prefer the Geara Doga and Geara Zulu as grunt suits, more than the Zaku, and the FZ is more reminiscent of those suit. I don't know, the FZ is my favorite version of the Zaku.
I think that rifle and the Stallhelm, along with the nice grenades, help make a case for having one or two of these around. It looks rather imposing, though that rifle does look like it might be more at home with your Zaku III. The grenade launcher is nice, we don't get enough of those. Oddly enough, Char had that rifle in SRW Alpha, despite to the best of my knowledge never using it before. The lack of hands is a pain, though, that is probably its main issue.
Despite the AGE of the Zaku 2 FZ it is still til this very day one of the enjoyable Zaku types as it's design, solidity, and pose ability is good despite the age of that Zaku...also I just like the German style helm, it's a good touch giving two head types (the German helm or normal Zaku head could be good for customization)
Word of warning: While it looks like you can separate the grenades on the side skirt, actually separating them will make it so the top and bottom grenades just won’t stay on. I’m probably going to solve this with blu tack for the moment, but you could probably top coat the grenades and/or the rack and get them to stay.
This was one of my favorite monoeyes, and it was great to see it get a HG version, albeit several years after the other 0080 MS... Like Kakarot said, it is very articulated! The MG is accurate to the design, but a MMP-78 or the slimmed-down MMp-79 swaps in fine. I only wish the grenades had an extended handle version so you could pose it with one.
The gimmick on the hip joints is actually a simplified version of the MG hip joints! Didn't know they already did this before they brought it back for some of the Gundam Origin kits.
I built an FZ for a friend of mine. After looking into it I bought myself one and I'm painting it in the Valkyrie colors of the FZ from The Plot to Assassinate Gihren side story manga
it kinda upsets me that Bandai did not put as much effort into the Gelgoog Jager as they did with this kit. not saying the Zaku FZ is bad i just liked the Jager better. hell the GM Sniper II was only onscreen what like 5 seconds 10 tops yet that kit is freaken amazing X.x! I blame 0079 rise from the ashes for that one lol....
Can you please review the Jegan Ecoas Type, also are you able to make a left handed MS despite it not having a left trigger hand and not buy add-on parts?
Could you please do a review of a mg gelgoog? I can't find any reviews from the people I'm subscribed to and I remember seeing you use one for a size comparison. Some of the older ones are pretty cheap on amazon.
I'm afraid I can't help you at the moment, some parts got chewed up by our dog(when she was going through that phase). However, I am planning on getting Gato's Gelgoog and a few others at some point.
if I'm not mistaken the same guys who did the animation for Chars counterattack did 0080 so thats probobly why. the Geara Doga was however made based on the Zaku III and a manga exclusive machine the Guza.
@@gakeeeen because it looks like a whole body proportion, RE one with its too rectangular torso, making the limbs and the head don't look as linear and connected as the HG one
Too far, Kakarot! That hamburger reference was uncalled for! DDD:

1)- oooh so close to 69
2)- said no woman ever
But I'm the 69th upvote. Lucky you.
I'm dying for Bandai to make a MG of this suit, hell I'd settle for any rendition of it in 1/100. It's the star of 0080, for crying out loud!

Was not expecting the hamburger joke at the end. That just opened up old wounds :'(

Great review, say hi to Chris! ;)
A bit of paint turns Char's Zaku II into a lovely standard Commander Version.
Observations from the Bunker Yeah but not everybody wants to paint all their kits...
Paint is better than waiting and paying for a recolor most days. Especially for simple color schemes.
Jetfire48 yes but fortunately the zaku c/c5 type from the ova (green recolor of char with extras ) wasn't Pbandai

The rifle is supposed to be the same as MS-14F's, but just looks bigger...
When a Zaku gets a better kit than its corresponding Gundam.
Seems like solid kit even with today's standards.

This Zaku needs a Master Grade.
Got a re/100
@@riceboycruz1300 that's not a mg
@@kidrobot. I know but like based on the reviews and what not it’s almost as good as a MG
I wish the Kai were more popular. I really wish it had a Revive version because it's so aesthetically pleasing to me.
Yeah I wish, but we got normal zaku revive so we might get this
and finally, you decided to review this gem of a kit.
Word of warning: While it looks like you can separate the grenades on the side skirt, actually separating them will make it so the top and bottom grenades just won’t stay on. I’m probably going to solve this with blu tack for the moment, but you could probably top coat the grenades and/or the rack and get them to stay.
A little bit of Super glue inside the grenades worked for me after some filing.
One of the best things about this Zaku is that it's trigger finger hand is not on an angled joint. Thank god

I was quite surprised by how much I liked this kit.
The same goes for the Geara Doga.
FZ is probably the only zaku I feel doesn't -need- a commander antennae. In fact the antennae kind of ruins it's silhouette.
Coming it to eat the burgers at the speed of a heartbeat!
Wait, what do you mean it's not edible?
Man, that music to end the video... the feels...
The gimmick on the hip joints is actually a simplified version of the MG hip joints! Didn't know they already did this before they brought it back for some of the Gundam Origin kits.
Had no idea it was that articulated. It has moved up on my list.

I've been long waiting for video review of your, nice review :D
RIP to Bernard wiseman's seiyuu that also voiced the protagonist from Gundam F91 movie
the MMP80 machine gun also used by alot of Gelgoog variants
Dude, you're doing this amazing!
My favorite Zaku design and favorite 1/144 Zaku model. Can I ask for more? Oh, it comes with a second head? Yeah.

Gelgoog Jaeger: 2004
Zaku II FZ: 2008
If only the GM Sniper II had a double jointed elbow, like most of it's modern GM compatriots ;~;
Gravefox Totally agree with you, man, but 2018 is the 30th Anniversary of Gundam 0080, so prepare for Revive War in the Pockets gunpla kits. =P
The build hands can help with this model.
Hey kakarot197 that IS size accurate the dom tropen machine gun and zaku FZ machine gun are two completely different guns SO that IS SIZE ACCURATE
i love these grunt german themed zakus
This and Zaku III are my favorite MS that are mono-eyed :D
*nice burger m8*
needs a commander antenna for both heads but it would look aweson on the german style helmet!
Love the Geara Zulu-like head!
Zaku Kai came first..you like the Zaku FZ style head on the Geara Zulu..
new subscriber here , i love your Gunpla reviews 😊
Thanks and welcome aboard :D
I ended up breaking this kit, somehow. I have the Type B Fritz head on my origin Zaku 1 though, looks amazing
Who's watching for Kakarot's PS1 burger?
I really like the head option c: and that burger. Pls share with your subscribers
The dim tropen has the SMG ver while the f2 has the machine gun ver
Is the hamburger thing a reference to WITP? I haven't watched that show yet.
Yep and explaining it is basically spoiling the story.
:(
5:40 no the MMP-80 is just a really big gun, and the MMP-80/90 is just really small.
Those are both MMP-80s, there is no MMP-90(you might be confused because of the caliber, which is 90mm)
Kakarot197 Fixed it but still it is a very big gun.
Well... the Zaku Kai in The Origin style, anybody nearly wetting their pants about this?
i literally cry with ur burger jokes there TwT
Can you please review the Jegan Ecoas Type, also are you able to make a left handed MS despite it not having a left trigger hand and not buy add-on parts?
so a matte clear coat would get rid of the "toyish" look hguc kits have?
Excellent taste in burgers
So when will you do a review of that hamburger?
I'm gonna make it into a dozle high mobility custom cause dozle Is the only redeamable zabi

What was the deal with that machine gun anyway? Wasn't it supposed to be just the same one?
Vo Mabulay it's essentially the MP-80 with a grenade launcher.
what FZ head do you prefer, fritz or standard helm
Fritz helmet all the way. Looks better and also makes it much more distinct from all the other zakus =D
May I know what's deal with the hamburger?
Watch 0080, you'll get it once you finish it. The full story of the hamburger involves spoilers.
