In lower ELO and even sometimes in higher ELO people quite often become hyper focused on going for enemy supports. But as a support main I can outright think of a dozen ways I can keep denying the Sombra value while still supplying my team support. Playing Sombra you are a disruptor first and foremost. Who cares if you don't have a ton of kills?! Who cares if your damage is low?! Did you pull a tank's attention from taking space? Did you keep both supports busy enough to allow your team to pick off the rest of the team? Did you use EMP at the right times to get a team wipe or a super important pick? Etc ... Think on a broader level instead of, "I gotta get the Mercy!"
You are right. But sadly everyone else does care. I’m not the best aim on hit scan but I use my characters, like junkrat to deny and confuse. But there’s no metric for that. So people misunderstand my value. The best match was where I had ‘bad’ scores but got the payload to the end when the enemy team was distracted. I enjoyed pointing out the value in that

If I had a dime for every time when someone flamed me because they didn't feel my stats were not up to their expectations I'd be a rich man. There's no stats for denying the enemy high ground or protecting an Ana from getting dove on lol

The largest mistake I always made as Sombra was trying to hack and then cube for my assassinations. Not quite sure if other sombras have this issue but it's just a muscle memory from old patches for me.
@@atomickarate3421 I mean sometimes that works, just make sure you're doing it for an active reason and not just muscle memory Rebinding cube to right click and hack to shift helps a tonne too
@@Questron01 usually it cuts in the amount of time I have to actually kill the enemy before having to translocate. Also the keybind change is a wonderful idea. I don't particularly like to have my skill shot off the mouse anyhow.
I think you are right sometimes , when u see " peoples doesn't have to watch at one guy " like , when the sombra do not engage with reaper ult , BUT ! i'm ok with another youtuber on it : I think off angle is the key ... i mean ... Well ... if u go with the reaper , they all got eyes on u both , and u have lot of chance of die together , But if u off angle, like on the mega heal room , behind them , u force one or 2 people to look back at u , maybe more if u lucky ! And reaper get more opportunity for his ult .... Also sorry for my broken english :X

I genuinely just wish Sombra didn't have cloak. If she didn't have cloak, I'd be cool with her and getting hacked. But with that cloak, no peace. Only violence
