A bit late to the punch, but in the original story of the Town Musicians of Bremen, the four animals come across three robbers in a house. They decide to scare the robbers from the house, then eat their food and sleep in their house. Funny enough it's the second part of the line that doesn't happen in the original story - the robbers send one of their men to investigate their home during the night, and the animals manage to scare him so bad working together that he believes a witch has moved into their home!

@@paradoxcompass I think the robbers getting their revenge is PigPen's own idea; they could have gotten it from somewhere but in the original fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm the robbers do not try and get revenge.
