Bai Fei Li me! Looks like the mic missed its bris. Its got a little extra on the end of its shaft. Thats a great sound for the price. Would be a great mic for someone sitting at a piano and singing.

Bai Fei Li for the win here again! I live in Los Angeles right next to the conjunction of four highways so I’m really nervous to use a condenser as a daily driver in my environment. I do record vocals with a condenser but I have to go to extreme lengths to keep external noise out of the equation. This might presents a really interesting option That a few others have tried to pull off. However those mics cost a ton. thank you so much for signal boosting it!
The Lauren audio ls-208 is the answer to that....but man....it's not a budget one

I like your voice, it seems grainier than usual and more detailed, natural. I don't know if others will notice the same thing as me. I think it's due to my headphones (old superlux 2x56 ohms (4 years old)). With them, I hear the faults very quickly (following, crackling, hissing...). besides you changed the hand microphone and I heard it, not necessarily good but on the other hand, if I had to use it I would put it on an articulated arm (like I do for mine, condenser also but it is less sensitive to the movement of the hands, I think). I'm watching the rest. I am delighted to see what its sound catchment area is...

A deessers is useful in my opinion, my headphone echoes to me too much of what I think are hisses (sss sheee...). For me it's a cardoid not a super cardoid, I'm not an expert but you can hear it a little muffled on the side and you can hear it well at the back... Its construction quality, at this price, a monster for me...89€ displayed price, even my rhode m2 is more expensive new (100-120€). Almost the nt1 seems more muffled less natural and it emits less of what I called more hisssss essss sss in my headphones. I have the impression that the kk205 would be less forgiving of errors than an nt1.
relatively inexpensive, intriguing, it would be a microphone that I would want to test but I would still be afraid of it.

Got one where I only heard handling noise, no vocal. Constant static, no matter how I set the input volume. Phantom power engaged, tried different cables that worked with other mics I have.
Spoke to store, they sent another, same deal. If I tap the mic, I hear it through the phones, but speaking or singing doesn't come through.
The replacement did the same thing.
Any clue as to why? Or did I just get a bad batch?

The XLR cable concerns me. Did you try connecting it with just a regular mic cable and see how it works? I admit, the mic sounds good. One wonders about the noise figure, the maximum SPL, etc.

Noise level was solid....useable bit obviously not below double digit dba

I wanted to hate it.. But I don't. It's got a little bit of that Chinese LDC sibilance, but otherwise sounds great. Don't love that this company seems committed to copying other companies designs - I have two of their other mics and they're decent too, but are also blatant ripoffs of other mics in the looks department. They could easily make something all-original and great, but they keep making look-a-likes. 😕

Somewhat agreed that it's not all that sibilant. It does have a prominent not-smooth noise in the highs that I don't like at all, but it's not really in the sibilance frequency range. Probably a good mic to mod, for people into all that. Hard to really complain for the price.@@ObscureMics
