You put a black line on a black background ........... Really ? I use the regular MACD set at 8, 21 and 5 and trade the Histogram / Zero line cross for entries and exits. Turn off the MACD and Signal lines you don't need them. Just use the histogram/zero line crossover.
It works on them all but use common sense. Throw a 200 EMA on your chart and trade with the dominant trend, wait for a confirmation bar and don't trade the Tokyo market (with any system 🙂) .

The indicator can be used on any time frame. Choosing time frames depends on the trading style. For example a scalper may work on 1 min, and a swing trader work on 4H.

Old is also not bad because we take entry after crossing the zero line. Before the zero line there is only probability not confirmation.

If not using lines and just histogram how do you know signal line will cross zero line?
I think there is no way to know from histogram, I'm not sure, I'll take a look at it later.
