I live in subsidized housing as I am retired and on a fixed income pension and since JT became our PM, my rent has gone up from $450 per month to $698. My grocery bill has jumped from about $350 to over $600. So if you do your math, 12 times $248 is $2,976 per year for my rent, and 12 times $250 is $3000 per year. So my expenses not including internet or phone or transportation has gone up by $5976 per year and this clown thinks that getting $130 every 3 months gives me back my lost income. He is gaslighting the Canadian people while calling every body else who calls him out on it liars and purveyors of misinformation while he is the one guilty of the same. When are people going to wake up and get rid of this wannabe dictator?

Carbon tax is a joke. I got 1 rebate in January then he raises it by 23% and we were suppose to get it April 15th. I got nothing. I am a senior on my pension that is under $1800 a month. File your tax returns. If you didn’t file BEFORE March 15th then you’ll get the last quarterly payment 6-8 weeks after the filing…Liberals are sneaky shysters,eh?
If you filed your income tax after March 15 th, you will get the rebate later. I am not promoting this carbon tax but just explaining a possible reason fo the rebate not being in your account.

The Government did not take any time to properly assess people's situations when they doled out CERB but now years later, the Government is not repaying all our embezzled tax dollars but going after Canadians when we are severely financially compromised due to inflation caused by the Government.

Firstly, why is it that when I ask for a receipt when I put gas in my car it only lists the GST? When I go shopping it get a detailed itemized list of taxes. This needs to change. We pay more than one tax on our gasoline, my gas receipt should indicate all taxes I have paid. Secondly, regarding the protests and crime, the fact that our government is not doing anything about it, is the point. The government wants us to live in poverty and fear of crime so that way it makes the government more powerful. We are slowly becoming a third world country. I see indicators of that every day.

When I was a kid it only cost 20K to 30K to buy a house, wages were quite good at $1.50 to $1.75 per hour as a labourer. Gas was .22 Cents a Gallon, life was good, you could buy a couple days food and a dozen beer, and still pay the rent, which was only, $250.00 to $300.00 a month, so working 60 hours a week paid that, and still left money for food and beer, after tax. It got harder when they started to pave roads, and hike taxes. I figured after a couple more years pay will be up to $3 or $4 then I buy a car. Life was tough, like now. But maybe Pierre is the real Santa.

Here is an Airdrie story from guy I was talking to in the hot tub in the airdrie rec centre. Couple colored kids were harassing his wife so he confronted them and told them to get lost. He left the pool on foot and about a block away 3 colored kids jumped him (pool guys) and assaulted him. He knocked unconscious, wife found him shortly after, required medical care and extensive dentistry (still missing teeth)
I was a single mother raising my son, I am now a senior on a pension only. I feel for this mother in the clip, however, I see she probably gets her hair dyed and cut regularly. I do my own hair to save money. I have a minimal phone service at $15.00 per month. I use storage tubs to grow my own food. There are ways to cut your spending, cut your nail appointment to give your child some ice cream. Young people are so spoiled and won't give up their expensive phone services, or their huge comforts and are probably buying new clothes regularly. Recycle, reuse, buy from thrift stores. Your kids don't need designer clothes. Cut back your personal comforts to give your kids what they need. I raised a child alone after my husband died and I was 7 months pregnant. It can be done, give up something. Yes I understand the present bullshit going on now. Find ways to get through it. Good Luck

Why, in BC are we just lying down for this?! I rent a house in Vancouver that would currently cost me $3million to buy. My kids grew up in Vancouver - we are artists and musicians so an apartment will not do for us. My house is the last place the young people can jam as no one else has a space big enough. We feed as many young people as possible in my home and have impromptu food coops with other families to save money. My take home is 5 figures per month. But we are barely getting by now. No savings. We will figure this out as a family but it is taking all of us working together to set ourselves up to have a middle class life style. I am keeping my sons at home until they can buy and I think that will take an additional 5 years of them saving and investing to be able to afford to buy something for themselves. I calculated the living wage here to be $35/hour - take home. If you don't make that you will not have a car, healthy food, phone, entertainment or other very normal lifestyles. They talk about rebates but they are not considering the cost for a house. My bills just for gas and electricity are about $700/mo.
