That bear Pokémon is a really cool idea. Needing to learn discipline while possessing the confidence to train and take on any enemy is a very compelling and original personality. They should really make a DLC where you get to take a bear Pokémon through that journey…
I like how the final forms could form a superhero team lol. Like imagine a Pokemon Dungeon anime, where it's a world of only Pokemon, and they're the superhero team that saves Pokemon all over. Overall, lovely designs!
I love hearing everyone’s artistic thought process during the design time, you guys all crushed this. But oh my gosh Vergo made my favorite designs, she really read my dream journal of Pokémon id love to see, I want them so badly ;u;
Damn these were all top tier but Vergolophus' was the best for me. I'm EXTREMELY picky for what Pokémon I catch. Hers would be on my team in a heartbeat and I would build the team around it even.
Oh. My. God. I am in LOVE with Neko's evolution line and Cometita. I want them to be real so badly 😭 I also really want a plush of Cometita. It's just so cuuuute!! I'm so mad that they aren't real and probably never will be. Game Freak really needs to hire you guys
It's not fun to work for a company who will take complete ownership of your art. I very much doubt they'd like it. Besides that, Nintendo and Gamefreak likely have extremely big privacy standards.
@@xxhowisuxx Oh I didn't think about that. That would suck but it'd still be cool if they could design Pokémon for the official games because these designs are too good
If Moxio2D's fakemon was real, it would be my all time favorite pokemon. I love Lucario and cute pink pokemon with power are my favorite. Beautiful design
It is kind of weird how Lucario is basically the only pokemon who utilises the pokemon universes version of life energy, it's cool to see another pokemon do it and also look strong as hell too. The final evolution gives me big Kill la Kill vibes although if I were to have this pokemon in a game I think I would give it gendered forms, maybe the male version would create a shield out of aura instead?
A thoroughly delightful and engaging video from beginning to conclusion. This art collaboration was ambitious, and it certainly delivered above and beyond! The design characteristics of your designs, their themes and inspiration demonstrate great sensitivity to the appointed criteria. Yet your various perspectives, experiences and personalities produced intelligently designed Pokémon. In a way, the different end results enable all four Pokémon to contribute to each other beautifully. Moreover, the individual design approaches and creation processes, coupled with the hilarious banter, the complementary and insightful comments to the finished products make this video greatly insightful. It is always fascinating to see how one choice over another, prior to and during the creation process, contribute enormously to a work of art. All in all, a fantastic collaboration from you four! You should all definitely do another one in the future! Keep up with your awesome art!
I absolutely love how positive & supportive everyone is with each other! So wonderful to have a wholesome space to create and show each other with everyone being excited! (especially in the place of the internet where it's easy to be surrounded of toxicity) This was a joy to behold! Ty for sharing with us!
Moxie is a man of culture, if you say “2 stage” to a TCG player they are going to assume you’re talking about a Pokémon with more than one evolutions; in the TCG it goes: Basic/stage1/stage2
Loved all the designs. I was worried with the bear like “not another bipedal fighting type bear Pokémon” but it actually looks amazing !! If it was real it’d be my fav. He took the hardest animal to make feminine and protagonist and did it well.
I really like solidillo, I can imagine it still having the tail and the halberd as a testimonial to its battle prowess. The longer the time with the blade the more powerful a Pokémon
In my opinion, I think the bear one was much less main protagonist, and more motherly and even mysterious. For example, I could imagine someone getting a glance of them watching over the forest in the distance or just getting small looks at them throughout, only truly showing themselves in the final battle to defeat the overall threat.
Sedimini reminds me of Jaiden's Platinum nuzlocke where she was swinging her Turtwig like a bludgeon. I loved all of the designs today and I feel like they all nailed the prompt in such unique ways.
I really like Nekuni. the concept of their power being too much to handle is cool. Nekokira is nice too (who doesn't love giant swords) but I wish there was something on their arms and legs. I think them being so bare makes them seem too human-like.
Moxie's pokemon art looks like it would be in the X & Y games with Delphox and Aegislash & Lucario. such an excellent job. I would 100% have to have that in my team lol i cant wait to see the resttttt
I really enjoyed hearing everyone's explanation of how they draw up their inspiration, and you can tell each person has their own unique way of creating a design. I think Pokemon in general should be in that direction so it flows because some Generations they looks so sloppy and rushed with a mixture of different design strategies. Especially, when a lot of the designs don't correlate with the region The Generation is discovered. Hopefully The Pokemon company will pay attention to how artist like all of you develop your own design language and will hire people that have the same vision. Each Generation does not have to be the same in design it has to flow with the region the Pokemon develop in, which is where finding the right Artistic style is important. Moxie's style of Pokemon seems very tough and medieval like that I would see those kind of Pokemon developing in a region that has close ties to The Renaissance Era such as with castles, fortresses kind of like Games of Thrones time period. Vergolophus I LOVED her futuristic approach and space with the stars and such kind of gives off The North Pole region especially with the presence of The Northern Lights. I could see her design language in Pokemon from space and even those that develop in cold harsh environments or in caves. Subjectively and Truegreen hit the nail right on the head going by nature and the environment and I can definitely see them creating many Pokemon that serve their purposes in a specific type of region. Well done all of you!
I'll have to agree with Moxie, his design reminds me more of the good ol' Digimon S1 days. Heck, he couldda gone all out and gave her like 5 stages xd.
I think I know why Nekokira doesn't read as a Pokemon: a combination of its eyes, weapon, and humanoid figure make it look like a very early, high-level Digimon. Like somehow the logical transition point between Gatomon and Magnadramon.
I started watching the series from episode 4 and went the other way around from there to this and I never expected to see the Cerro de los siete colores from Argentina, it was truly a nice surprise. Loved every single design I saw in all of the videos and I'm hoping to see more soon, thank you!
Honestly the wardursa line reminds me of like and elder guardian that a protagonist learns from and could have a spinoff prequel story that follows that characters life. A middle stage honestly could probably be the best protagonist look for it
9:44 I was thinking with the Nekokira evolution in a Nuzlocke it could still work, kinda brutal method tho... You could use Nekuni for a while and then by the time she's at lvl 32 or higher you should have some early lower level pokemon just sitting in your pc, bring 5 onto your team with the intention on them dying, which will then evolve Nukuni. Real dark method, but effective. Just think of it as their transferring all their power to Nekokira, kinda like a "Spirit Bomb" evolution lol
I'm sorry little one... **They're** EDIT: Gentlemen, it is with great sadness that I must inform you that... No, it was not they're. He was correct, it was their.
@@maddiesmenagerie8853 Yea, it would be a costly trade, but in every Nuzlocke I have ever run there by the time I am in the mid 30's I usually have 5-10 pokemon that I would only use if things go deep south. Usually because of bad natures.
I like how Vergo interpreted protagonist, as a pokemon the protagonist would use. If the others were protagonists I'd mostly see it in some PMD or otherwise type setting, where the pokemon themselves are the main characters, whereas I think Sairanova would work great as a partner pokemon in a pokemon manga/anime with a female MC.
I love how he gave Solidillo a move with a chance of flinching which makes the move stronger due to its ability, either great attention to detail or a hilarious oversight
I recently watched the movie Brother Bear again which is a fantastic, adorable, feel good movie that I highly recommend if you haven't seen it. A large part fo that movie is about the dichtomy of man vs. nature and how they both have a vital part to play in protecting the balance of the world. It's a very spiritual movie and pulls a lot of its themes from the traditions of Indigenous tribes of North America, and the bear is (obviously) a very important spiritual symbol in the movie. Seeing Subjectively's Pokemon designs being based on the bear, the protector of the forest and the guardian of nature, reminded me so much of that movie, and Detenya looks so much like Koda it's uncanny.
Honestly love this idea and Pokemon in general! It was amazing to see the designs and process you guys went through to end up with these gorgeous mons! Inspirational to say the least!
Now THIS is something i'd love to see again. Love all of the designs, they all seemed like heroes and protectors in their own stories, worlds and/or regions. I hope to maybe see this become somewhat regular here on the channel, like once a month or 2 months
I used to watch fakemon speedpaint videos all the time as a kid. Finding somebody made that concept into a series makes me really happy :] Your content got me going back to my childhood in the best way possible!!!
I loved seeing all four of the final evolutions together at the end, and they all look so different, but also very cohesive in a way. I can imagine a Raihan style gym leader (So allowing type variation) that would just use all four of them.
9:30 could have made an ability that accounts every fainted battle member in your team and gives 1 stage boost to attack (maybe special attack aswell) but also loses 1 stage of defense (special defense) so it would be an insane sweap mon that can at least get killed by faster mons even though its like insanely fast with a speed 121 speed stat.

Gen 3 is what happens when too many artists are involved. Not that that's inherently bad, but there is a higher chance for iffy designs.
@@nicodalusong149 that’s a good point
@@erliqwen2306 Kinda I get why they don't, but like it could be cool there's actually a decent chunk of Important Digimon that were designed by fans for a Competition (I know it's no where near a decent comparison they're very different Franchises, but still)
@@nicodalusong149 but gen 3 is one of the biggest successes in pokemon
I really liked the star dragon one, I would 100% hunt for a trading card of it.
All these feel like mythic/legendary Pokémon and I’m mclovin’ it ❤️
Edit: These girls could be the cast of a anime of a gang of protagonists growing into there roles as heroes, with each fitting a different protagonist trope/archetype and growing together through the power of friendship. I’d watch it.
The first line made me realize that I am terribly unsatisfied with all official cat Pokémon.
The espurr line is pretty good, but other than that I agree
Alolan Meowth 😂
I get competitive viability wasn't considered, but holy crap Nekokira is so freaking busted that it would make zacian look like a fair and balanced Pokemon.
It's just a better Zacian, there's no denying it. I mean it even has a move that acts as a Moxie/Beast Boost *on top* of being a 100 bp 100% move.
@@thebookless3381 on top of having a really good attack and speed stats on top of having 3 abilities in one on top of always having at least 1 attack boost but usually more
and it would be more readily available in contrast to a box art legendary where you get only 1 in 1 game and it might get egg moves too for even more strength
@@haydenford9587 AND it has the best defensive typing in the game AND it’ll probably get good coverage moves since it uses a sword (so all blade/sword moves are on the table) AND it’s pretty much guaranteed to get access to swords dance. Wayyy too op even for someone that would know nothing about competitive. But it is soul just for fun so I guess it’s fine idk
Probably in Mega Rayquaza tier, but that's ok lol
Gotta give props. Huge pokemon fan not huge into fan made mons. I watched this entire video & it was awesome. Loved hearing the artists notes & seeing how each took the terms & interpreted them. Awesome video
That bear Pokémon is a really cool idea. Needing to learn discipline while possessing the confidence to train and take on any enemy is a very compelling and original personality. They should really make a DLC where you get to take a bear Pokémon through that journey…
I love that Vergo uses Looker as a height reference for her designs, truly the Looker brainrot never ends lmao
TrueGreen7, Subjectively, Moxie2D, and Vergolophus all in the same video?!?! THIS IS THE BEST CROSSOVER OF THE CENTURY!!!
Infinity war wishes it was this cool
I like how the final forms could form a superhero team lol. Like imagine a Pokemon Dungeon anime, where it's a world of only Pokemon, and they're the superhero team that saves Pokemon all over. Overall, lovely designs!
I love hearing everyone’s artistic thought process during the design time, you guys all crushed this.
But oh my gosh Vergo made my favorite designs, she really read my dream journal of Pokémon id love to see, I want them so badly ;u;
I love it when artists get together and are super positive about each other’s artwork. It’s so nice and all of these works are great!
I love how Moxie unknowingly made Zacian in cat form.
Damn these were all top tier but Vergolophus' was the best for me.
I'm EXTREMELY picky for what Pokémon I catch. Hers would be on my team in a heartbeat and I would build the team around it even.
Absolutely! I agreee, I can definetly see cometita line in pokemon
I love the shiny versions of the Neko line, especially the boosted glow and energy of the sword, and the little star(s)
Oh. My.
A few of my family members are great at knitting, we can get you a knitted plush of Cometita? It'd take a while but it's possible!
@@devixlevio257 omg I would love to have one too pleaseeeee 🥺🙏 if you list it online I will buy it, Cometita was my favorite!
@@xxhowisuxx Oh I didn't think about that. That would suck but it'd still be cool if they could design Pokémon for the official games because these designs are too good
@@devixlevio257 Oh that'd be amazing!!!
If Moxio2D's fakemon was real, it would be my all time favorite pokemon. I love Lucario and cute pink pokemon with power are my favorite. Beautiful design
Thank you :)
They're all so freakin adorable 😭
Would love to see more of these with pseudo legendaries, starters or legendaries
I absolutely love how positive & supportive everyone is with each other! So wonderful to have a wholesome space to create and show each other with everyone being excited! (especially in the place of the internet where it's easy to be surrounded of toxicity) This was a joy to behold! Ty for sharing with us!
Moxie is a man of culture, if you say “2 stage” to a TCG player they are going to assume you’re talking about a Pokémon with more than one evolutions; in the TCG it goes:
Basic/stage1/stage2
Loved all the designs. I was worried with the bear like “not another bipedal fighting type bear Pokémon” but it actually looks amazing !! If it was real it’d be my fav.
He took the hardest animal to make feminine and protagonist and did it well.
This makes me wanna make a pokemon so bad. Loves these kinds of videos.
The more you do it, the better you will get at it! :D no better time to start than now! I believe in you ^^
I really like solidillo, I can imagine it still having the tail and the halberd as a testimonial to its battle prowess.
Agree, though I still love it. Maybe include more of the 'leaking Aura' idea and have it edge the hip fluff to make it longer? Or the ankle fluff.
Or maybe make the sword like energy blades leaking out from the arm
Moxie's pokemon art looks like it would be in the X & Y games with Delphox and Aegislash & Lucario. such an excellent job. I would 100% have to have that in my team lol i cant wait to see the resttttt
It was so awesome to hear the artists' reactions to their peers' work
I love the concept. Can't wait to see how everyone interpreted the prompts 🤩
Little Neko and Sairanova turned out absolutely incredible! This is a great video series and I hope to see more of it :3
I really enjoyed hearing everyone's explanation of how they draw up their inspiration, and you can tell each person has their own unique way of creating a design.
Yeah, it had a very Digimon design, to me, as well. Reminded me a lot of the Gatomon-related family.
Great video! I loved seeing everyone's different approach to the criteria. All of you are incredibly talented.
Bro the video just came out

@@connorcassani329 yeah probably
@@CommanderBlaze66 ok
I think I know why Nekokira doesn't read as a Pokemon: a combination of its eyes, weapon, and humanoid figure make it look like a very early, high-level Digimon. Like somehow the logical transition point between Gatomon and Magnadramon.
I started watching the series from episode 4 and went the other way around from there to this and I never expected to see the Cerro de los siete colores from Argentina, it was truly a nice surprise. Loved every single design I saw in all of the videos and I'm hoping to see more soon, thank you!
Just make this a series, it would be super cool!
Honestly the wardursa line reminds me of like and elder guardian that a protagonist learns from and could have a spinoff prequel story that follows that characters life. A middle stage honestly could probably be the best protagonist look for it
“protector…protector of the forest”
THE LORAX!!!
Rewatching this now made me realize that Tinkaton's line resembles Moxie's design so much
Y e s
9:44 I was thinking with the Nekokira evolution in a Nuzlocke it could still work, kinda brutal method tho...
You could use Nekuni for a while and then by the time she's at lvl 32 or higher you should have some early lower level pokemon just sitting in your pc, bring 5 onto your team with the intention on them dying, which will then evolve Nukuni.
Real dark method, but effective. Just think of it as their transferring all their power to Nekokira, kinda like a "Spirit Bomb" evolution lol
I was totally thinking the same thing... Just bring a bunch of generic route 1 bug Pokemon to a gym trainer battle or something
Or Namekian Fusion
I'm sorry little one...
**They're**
EDIT:
Gentlemen, it is with great sadness that I must inform you that...
No, it was not they're. He was correct, it was their.
But in nuzlockes you can only catch one pokemon per route so it would be costly even then…
@@maddiesmenagerie8853 Yea, it would be a costly trade, but in every Nuzlocke I have ever run there by the time I am in the mid 30's I usually have 5-10 pokemon that I would only use if things go deep south.
The Nekokira line is legitimately my favorite Fakemon line of all time. Y'all did amazing! I think of Nekokira all the time, wish it was real.
I love that they didn’t just create an image. They create the entire bios for it
I recently watched the movie Brother Bear again which is a fantastic, adorable, feel good movie that I highly recommend if you haven't seen it.
I enjoyed this waaaaaaaaaaay more than I thought I would. I want each artist to draw for Pokemon
Now THIS is something i'd love to see again.
Love all of the designs, they all seemed like heroes and protectors in their own stories, worlds and/or regions.
I hope to maybe see this become somewhat regular here on the channel, like once a month or 2 months
Now i only have in my head "I WANT MORE" those designes are soo cool i love them
I used to watch fakemon speedpaint videos all the time as a kid. Finding somebody made that concept into a series makes me really happy :] Your content got me going back to my childhood in the best way possible!!!
I absolutely LOVE this super colab video!!! Cant wair for more challenges like this one 😍
And the second girl with her love for dragons immediatly won me over ! I oove them too so much. And the first evolution is adorable Qqq
I loved seeing all four of the final evolutions together at the end, and they all look so different, but also very cohesive in a way. I can imagine a Raihan style gym leader (So allowing type variation) that would just use all four of them.
This would make Nekokira the most terrifying ace Pokémon in the series. Would make Whitney’s Miltank look weak
Beta Supreme Overlord
Those rock formations remind me of Shara Ishvalda for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Maybe the design team had the same inspiration.
