Yeah, I usually hate when people play this card, and even though I'm about to, know that there's no hate behind it, but those genuinely don't look like pokemon to me. They straight up look more like a beastmen race from some fantasy anime. Like, put some clothes on them and I can totally see Rimuru from TenSura journeying off into some desert/savannah setting, meeting this group as a royal family, and recruiting them, probably by stopping the shiny version from organizing some kind of coup. It's hard to explain why. Maybe if they were drawn more in the pokemon art style it would help, but I honestly don't know with this one. They really do just look like a race of lion people.

I love hearing everyone’s knowledge of animals and people. Also congratulations to Moxie for taking the extra effort to learn about African lions! I will definitely say I love Ron’s, June’s, and Moxie’s pokemon! I am so excited to see the next video!
But he was wrong in what he found out, the male rules the pride when he's there, the thing is they spend a lot of time patrolling their domain, but when he is there he is the top, he eats first, he mates when he wants, its HIS pride
@@Saintphoenix86 That’s true. He was not right about everything but I am still happy for the extra effort even if it’s not 100% correct. But it’s kinda hard to classify who would deserve the title, the hunter and mother or the protector and father. The females start the pride and the males kick out other males that threaten to take over the pride. Males would even travel with other males to find a pride to take over. So in a sense they are more like conquistadors rather than kings. The males are lucky to stay in the pride for 2 years before being kicked out by another male. I also kinda like how the lioness gets the royal treatment instead of the lion. Although I do think it would be make more sense if they were hyenas.
@@lilbasenji1 I think the dynamic flip works for the pokemon, could even have a partner pokemon that are male-dominated hyena style mons. The typical idea of each being flipped on its head, constantly battling each other for territory and food.
I didn't completely understand the mechanics behind different forms of female Alphaleo, but Verleo and Alphaleo are definitely my favorite designs in this series
Yep what Pierre said! The forms are purely aesthetic besides their abilities, with Queen Alphaleo having the best ability and the signature move 3+ perfect stat male Verleo = male Alphaleo (introverted & extroverted forms are just color variations) Less than 3 IV wont evolve at all 3+ perfect stat female Verleo = purple eyes, and will evolve into a Queen Alphaleo Less than 3 perfect stat = blue eyes, evolves into regular female Alphaleo with various 'hairstyles' instead of the big mane (ability is Pressure instead of Lion Queen)
Wow. Just getting to the end of part 1 and this is such incredible content. Moxie saying ‘I’m getting Uncle Iroh vibes’ completely cemented everything that had been said around the first Pokémon. Love how you’ve managed to combine a reaction and discussion element along with the more analytical side, it brings so much to the video.
31:28 "This is a different kind of National Geographic my boy." Moxie's a riot lmao. Edit: My favourite this time around has to be June's! 100% will be my top fairy type if Sersurf and Lunautica and are real pokemon!
I love June’s clam line! It’s got such pretty colours, paired with weird squishy body shapes! Plus it’s got fantastic defensive typing and monstrously high defences and hp, it would probably be a really useful ‘mon to have in your team
I was so upset that Moxie didn't bring up masculinized lionesses, which his purple eyed Alphaleo obviously was!!! What a cool idea, I don't care how furry bait they are, I love pokemon with multiple forms. Bonny's pokemon were very concise and well researched, Green's had fantastic shapes and color harmonies, Ginja's perfectly captured the alien nature of a water/fairy type, and Moxie's were fun and had great lore without worrying so much about game mechanics. Great job, everybody!!
cause he has no clue that exists?! Love the design and idea too . . . I usually like his designes they have a certain feminine touch many canon pokemon lack
I absolutely love this series, seeing everyone's concepting and design process is so neat! Also love June just absolutely losing it over Moxie's Pokemon. What a great laugh
This has to be one of my favorite series on this channel. So nice to see so many interpretations at the same concept and idea Also, Moxie, your design is golden
Oh, the RGB-based shiny on the Devoltee line is a really clever play on its default color scheme of cyan, magenta, and yellow. It took me a minute after the RGB inspiration was explained to pick up on the contrast with the CMYK theme of the base form, but that’s a really fun touch!
love that lion family. bit too humanoid for my preferences when it comes to pokemon designs (but great designs overall), and I love the idea of trying to capture the dynamic of a streamer and their chat. only thing is, the verleo seem to be missing that "chaotic hive-mind" element of stream chats... also, I feel like whichever form is supposed to be the mods (the non-queen female alphaleo perhaps?) needs to have something to symbolize the banhammer does feel less like pokemon designs though, and more like designs for a standalone anime world... I get strong protagonist and companion vibes from the evolved forms
Since Lunatica is based off of Aphrodite, it would be really cool if it just had an aura of love or something and that's why Sersurf loves and looks up to it so much? Anyway, I love both of Ginja's designs they're so pretty!!
All of these are SUPER convincing Pokemon. They have that perfect blend of different concepts integrated so naturally into one design, it's really impressive. Also: MOXIE'S A FREAKIN' FURRY (Queen Alphaleo is very pretty, very nicely done.)
You all did amazing!! Bonny's is so inspired and deep, Ron's is so colorful and fun, Moxie's has so much work put into it (seriously, dude didn’t have to make 8 distinct designs), and June's are so freaking cute!! So proud of y'all :D
If it's any consolation, he did make two body bases, and aesthetic colour alt for the male, and hairstyle alt for females. Not saying it's easy, but definitely not as difficult as designing 8 different forms. I Stan Moxie bruh. Need more broken abilities and controversial designs from this Chad of a lad.
Loved Moxie’s design and concept, although his research on lion social hierarchy was pretty flawed 😂, still a cool what-if, reminds me of the Salazzle line.
he is adorable though and I really like his art but yeah, his lack of knowlage in regards to animals is a running gag, just like cats, making more pokemon then asked for and furbait
Headcanon: Yungoos and Verleo are from the same region. They look similar because of mimicry. I don’t know who mimics who though. Whether the Yungoos are mimicking the Verleo cubs or the Verleo cubs are mimicking the mean Yungoos like Cheetah cubs do to Honey Badgers
Does Moxie need an intervention? Lol I’m in love with all your designs! Watching your videos has reawakened the desire to play Pokémon within me. ^^ keep it all up! But don’t forget to take care of yourself! Can’t wait to see what your next videos will all have!
I think Yokabuna is my new favorite Fakemon. There's very few that **really** click with me, even if I really enjoy the designs, but the story with Rookiishi with that sumo design just makes it super to my tastes, I love it. The others are definitely up there, too.
I can definitely see Ginja’s and Bonnie’s design in an official pokemon game! They were really unique and cool. Moxie was… well it certainly was one of the designs.

Same its so cool!
Moxie is a true himbo, and we love him for it
Absolutely!!!
Bonny is so impressive, not only in his art ability but also how thoughtfully he incorporated research into his pokemon! It's clear he loves what he's doing so much and is in love with the interesting details of the real world inspirations. Plus so understanding and kind to moxie when everyone else was just laughing at him. Huge respect for Bonny all around
ty for the kind words!!!
@@BonnyJohn you're awesome dude. definitely checking out your channel.
I loved Bonny’s recorded segments with the pokedex. So informative and visually stimulating. And the sumo bugs were great!
I wanted to combine speed art with some extra knowledge to really help you guys understand where I was coming from with the research I put in. Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the kind words!!!
I love this series so much. I love seeing everyone’s approach to the prompt. Moxie is crazy and June has such interesting designs. Of course Ron’s designs are amazing!
@@alexanderlambert295 yeah! They could be male troll hyenas!!!!
I didn't completely understand the mechanics behind different forms of female Alphaleo, but Verleo and Alphaleo are definitely my favorite designs in this series
3 perfect iv = center female alphaleo
2 or less =side ones, the mane designs are for fun, kinda a furfrou fur
Yep what Pierre said! The forms are purely aesthetic besides their abilities, with Queen Alphaleo having the best ability and the signature move
3+ perfect stat male Verleo = male Alphaleo (introverted & extroverted forms are just color variations)
Less than 3 IV wont evolve at all
3+ perfect stat female Verleo = purple eyes, and will evolve into a Queen Alphaleo
Less than 3 perfect stat = blue eyes, evolves into regular female Alphaleo with various 'hairstyles' instead of the big mane (ability is Pressure instead of Lion Queen)
If we are counting all the designs in the series
My favorite still Zerave, but Alphaleo is up there in 2nd place
@@JasperDStar Of all of them, Cordysect is my fave :)
@@moxie2D Maybe there are very small stats differences between all forms.
Btw, do you have Maladaptive Daydreaming by any chance?
Everyone else: Clever play on historical ideas, natural relationships or profession and following
Moxie: Yo what if everyone in Lion King was bipedal
aparently nala giving simba(and the camera) bedroom eyes was the furry awakening for many . . .
Everyone in the in the video: *makes two pokemon*
Moxie2D: *cracks fingers*
Always love seeing Moxie's creations, he's a man of great taste x)
And he ads so much fun every time! But yeah, evwn when he is banned from egery single thing he is known for ye ends up creating a mon I want
Moxie's ability to learn something with every single fakemon is one of my favorite things now LMAO. Great art as always, everyone
I agree it's always fun to see him in the video
31:28 "This is a different kind of National Geographic my boy." Moxie's a riot lmao.
Edit: My favourite this time around has to be June's! 100% will be my top fairy type if Sersurf and Lunautica and are real pokemon!
The thing is, he ain't that wrong, I know exactly which artical he referenced and it is legit
I love June’s clam line! It’s got such pretty colours, paired with weird squishy body shapes! Plus it’s got fantastic defensive typing and monstrously high defences and hp, it would probably be a really useful ‘mon to have in your team
Moxie's designs are so underrated tbh he's such a great content creator
True
Facts
He has peak himbo energy for all the stuff he makes
Moxie2D quickly became one of my favorite pokeartists, but I don't think he is underrated. He will become more famous and appreciated really soon
Wdym, his channel is super popular
The new guy was great. Loved his dedication and designs bring him back!
Thank you for the kind comment! I'll be ready for the call to arms in case they need me again! :)
@@BonnyJohn lessgoo! So glad you saw the comment your a great storyteller and I hope you know it. Keep creating!
Bonny's pokemons really looks like they could fit in the Hollow Knight universe
That'd be so sick, I LOVE HOLLOW KNIGHT and that reminds me...I need to get back to it one day T.T
Arataki Itto would be very proud of Bonny's Pokemon choices.
I think my favorite design was the Devoltee line, the part with Moxie was absolutely hilarious and I loved having Ginja June back again!
Probably wasn't mentioned in the 3 articles he read 😂😂😂
Moxie's made an entirely new way to evolve tbf.
cause he has no clue that exists?! Love the design and idea too . . . I usually like his designes they have a certain feminine touch many canon pokemon lack
I absolutely love this series, seeing everyone's concepting and design process is so neat! Also love June just absolutely losing it over Moxie's Pokemon. What a great laugh
Moxie bringing fan service to a wholesome video 😭
Its still wholwsome, he brought a lot of laughter and good mood
love just how this shows different artstyles for fakemon.
Moxie and June and a great comedic duo.
by fare my favorits, the designs, the humor, they are so much fun!
This has to be one of my favorite series on this channel. So nice to see so many interpretations at the same concept and idea
Also, Moxie, your design is golden
Oh, the RGB-based shiny on the Devoltee line is a really clever play on its default color scheme of cyan, magenta, and yellow. It took me a minute after the RGB inspiration was explained to pick up on the contrast with the CMYK theme of the base form, but that’s a really fun touch!
Rookiishi is too cool! 😎
And Yokabuna to it could be like a Rivale to escavalier 🤔
Appreciate the luv!!!
Hey Liam love your WTF vids
love that lion family. bit too humanoid for my preferences when it comes to pokemon designs (but great designs overall), and I love the idea of trying to capture the dynamic of a streamer and their chat. only thing is, the verleo seem to be missing that "chaotic hive-mind" element of stream chats...
also, I feel like whichever form is supposed to be the mods (the non-queen female alphaleo perhaps?) needs to have something to symbolize the banhammer
does feel less like pokemon designs though, and more like designs for a standalone anime world... I get strong protagonist and companion vibes from the evolved forms
I agree. The humanoid aspect was meh. Reminds me of thundercats.
As long as you keep inviting Moxie? Absolutely do more.
yes please!!! Moxie and june are my favorits, they are sooo much fun and I love the designs
Since Lunatica is based off of Aphrodite, it would be really cool if it just had an aura of love or something and that's why Sersurf loves and looks up to it so much? Anyway, I love both of Ginja's designs they're so pretty!!
i absolutely loved this episode and ginja is absolutely underrated
ginja definitely ain't underrated
All of these are SUPER convincing Pokemon. They have that perfect blend of different concepts integrated so naturally into one design, it's really impressive.
Also: MOXIE'S A FREAKIN' FURRY (Queen Alphaleo is very pretty, very nicely done.)
You all did amazing!! Bonny's is so inspired and deep, Ron's is so colorful and fun, Moxie's has so much work put into it (seriously, dude didn’t have to make 8 distinct designs), and June's are so freaking cute!! So proud of y'all :D
when Moxie's part was about to start I was like: "His Mon is going to be a cat"
Moxie: Lions!
Moxie drew EIGHT different forms for a species. EIGHT ANIME FORMS. Quadruple the times almost everyone did. Dude was busy
Being horny is one hell of a motivation.
bonny was so incredibly thorough with their research and seemed so genuinely proud of their design and I loved listening to their segment
I LOVE Moxie’s art every single time!!! This is my fav series on this channel and he’s easily my fav guest artist!
he also brings so much humor into the vids! He and june are my favorit guests, they are so much fun, they are adorable, I love their ideas and art
Rookiishi looks like a Pokémon that Ash would definitely use in the anime
Dang Bonny was so well educated and professional
Thank you for the kind words!
lunautica is peak creature! the second I saw that opened form I can just picture how it would move and animate. love that in a design.
Loved Moxie’s design and concept, although his research on lion social hierarchy was pretty flawed 😂, still a cool what-if, reminds me of the Salazzle line.
I'm amazed how far I had to scroll to find this comment. Lion hierarchy is absolutely not matriarchal. Although lionesses are better hunters.
That’s what I’m thinking
he is adorable though and I really like his art but yeah, his lack of knowlage in regards to animals is a running gag, just like cats, making more pokemon then asked for and furbait
Glad I'm not the only one who thought of this
Does Moxie need an intervention? Lol
I’m in love with all your designs!
I’m honored !!! 😭🙏🏽❤️🔥
So impressed by Bonny's designs!! The detail that went into the research and art design looks so real, and I love the lil guys so much
😭😭😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Tysm for the kind words!!
I can definitely see Ginja’s and Bonnie’s design in an official pokemon game! They were really unique and cool.
Moxie was… well it certainly was one of the designs.
Yokobuna is probably my favourite fan design i've seen in as long as I can remember.
That melts my heart; thank you for the kind words!
@@BonnyJohn I think you made Heracross but better haha. I honestly like your design more.
Bonny gassing up bug types before 5 mins into the video already makes him my favourite
Man I love watching these videos, just seeing how different interprets the prompt they are given..... artists from different walks of life are able to be as creative as possible which gives me good vibes ☺️
Bonny is what the Weebs imagine they are.
Was genuinely waiting on @Moxie2D to say his queen has the move... Step on me... 🤣😂🤣😂 absolutely dying!
Love the SumoBug 👌
Ginja's designs were AMAZING. I want to use those seashell creatures so bad 😭
This is one of my favorite series on this channel! All of your designs were amazing!
I admit that I loved Moxie's Verleo/Alphaleo line since the idea behind it is so unique.

June just fucking dying as Moxie is being called out is so fucking funny
I always love seeing this series of videos get a new update. So much so that I sorta just rewarch everything when a new one comes out. It's so enjoyable to see how everyone's art comes out and how different the styles are. Everyone's funny, puts so much effort into their art, I love seeing how they interact with eachother :)
Sus, your account was made around the time you posted this
Interesting to look back now and see Rookiishi knowing that this idea manifested in a way with Pawniard in Scar/Vio
I’ve been waiting for this one! Excited to see where this one goes. You’ve really found something special with this series
the way bonny somehow predicted kingambit-
I REALLY love these videos! So fun to see different artists and their creations, as well as listening to you all talk about them!

Ron, I'm really enjoying this series please continue to reach out to other great artists and bring this level of enthusiasm and creativity to this platform.
This is definitely one of my fav series on this channel! Looking forward to it
All of your guys' designs were amazing! It's awesome how you guys create and inspire a community, and I'm proud to be in this community where I can be inspired.
Keep up the amazing work!
This series is what originally convinced me to subscribe. Glad to see it continue :D
Keep this series going, I absolutely love this. It's why I love doing art challenges, 1 prompt can lead to anything
Moxie man, he's always never disappointing when it comes to showing up here. But hey everyone's seemed to have a good time, which is something others should keep in mind
Moxie, you SFK. These are all amazing but the idea of basing one off a shell bell is absolutely brilliant, I love it!
They were laughing, but Moxie’s were awesome and had a ton of effort! Great video!!
absolutly! I can see the humor, and the lack of animal knowlage, but I actually love his art and how much effort he puts into his concepts!
Really good video with amazing designs!! Ron you and the other artists really killed it and I absolutely loved the Beaconduct line that you created
Dude just casually created Kingambit
Just like last time, i love all the designs, but June, you are amazing! I absolutely love their designs and concepts!
I really enjoy this series. I find myself very excited when I see a new episode and new artists with known ones. ^_^
Moxie's were my favorite but all of these were really cool. Keep it up, can't wait to see more!
Holy cow! Actually, how have we not had a Pokemon with a huge flowing mane yet?? Like, Primarina sorta just has hair, and Pyroar's hair is either a ponytail or a stiff coat of arms hair!
Bonny's Pokemon is just next level. The concept, the art, the presentation - everything made sense and made me wanna watch episode about Rookiishi.
Tysm for the kind words!!!
I like how everytime moxie does it he fetures his Pokemon on cats
Yo Alphaleo is so humanoid that it makes me uncomfortable but I really do like the design if it was a lil less humanoid I would love it 😂
Also the thought of them breeding haunts me 😅
well thats your problem my friend, I just find them pretty . . . .but thinking back, i once heared that furrydom was build partially on nala giving simba(and the camera) bedroom eyes which looks just really weird . . . . so I am not suprised someone came up with a humanoid lion to have the hots for
I love this series and can’t wait to see the entries for this episode. Good job 👍
Love all of these Pokémon in this part!
Also live the pattern of moxie always have a extra fun twist to his fakemon
