    Any reason you don’t mention your Hex Pads, I have recently changed to these from another well known manufacturer and am getting great results with them.

    As suppose to brushing the pad off. Can you add water to re lube it or another solution to it to activate the polish left on the pad.

    I am almost sold to forced rotation as it will not keep stopping at curves and edges of some crazy toyota cars :)
    The only point holding me back from going forced rotation is absence of knowledge if forced rotation machine will always finnish very well with one step compound leaving no holograms as well on black paints. At Least on German cars.
    Scholl s20 one step compound and medium cutting pad / blue spider pad combo for example to remove moderate to heavy swirls to 85-95% perfection = 85-95 % defects correced while super lttle haze and 0 holograms left after 2 passes= left to right and up snd down = 1 cross
    Kind Regards

    If you have a 5 inch backing plate do you pick a 5.5 inch pad?

    Also not brushing the pad out diminishes your cut and finish because of the residue

    From my understanding heat diminishes your cut

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 3 года назад +2

      Yep. There are no positives to generating heat. It's all bad. It doesn't cut or break down abrasives faster. Pressure over time does that. Think of it like trying to thinly shave a block warm chocolate. The warmer it gets, the harder it is to work with and cut precisely. Similar concept applies to cutting and finishing paint. It can also cause swelling, so hours later when the panel cools down, defects you thought were gone have reappeared. Similar to chemical shock.
