I hear u my brother ✊... its hard to differentiate between bird and mj... I watched them both play in their primes. I got mj 1 & bird 2 as greatests of all time 👊..
@@WayySolid am also in affirmation with another of your takes. If I'm starting a franchise and I have to choose between bird or bron. Its larry joe bird all day every day 🎯..
Great reaction video! You're right on point with your analysis! Michael Jordan was/is the example of how to play the game... He knew how to create space, shake his defenders off, and how to read defenses. He also knew how to attack any and all defense and score the basket, and then collect the ' and-one' free throw for his version of a 3-pointer.... No other player since has played with those attributes on a consistent basis...MJ played with style and finesse and still was relentless on defense! My G.O.A.T.!!
@@WayySolid I feel like the only people out here saying that the Cavs or Ehlo had bad defense because of how Jordan did them in my personal opinion are people who only know the game through visuals on TV but never stepped in the arena and put in work!!! Just my opinion
Bird and Jordan are both great, of course. And there are other greats, too, with different skills. Russell, Chamberlain, Kareem, and so on. And LeBron, Steph,, KD, and so on. Just keep enjoying what they all brought/bring to the game. You particularly like the finesse, the court vision, the smart plays, because you are a student of the game. I am learning a lot watching your videos. Others like the flashy dunks, the impossible shots, for the drama. They are all part of what brings fans to the the game of basketball, the most exciting sport, in my opinion. I am a Bird fan because of the surprising things he did; so many unexpected twists. And, he was everywhere all the time. You were afraid to sneeze because you might miss something. (Shout out to Magic, too.). Living in Chicago, Michael will always be an icon, for his skill and intensity and for the way he elevated the game to the next level. But I fell in love with basketball watching Wilt and I keep tuning in the games to watch all the great young players. So, let’s just give up trying to name one GOAT and enjoy watching the thrills of the past and the present.
I love seeing young cats understand basketball and respect the game. Not brainwashed by todays media narrative for LeBron as the goat. Mike is the true GOAT 🐐💪🏾💯
MJ's 3 point shooting average was 33% which is high for that era when the 3 point shot was a gamble. I think Steve Kerr still has the highest 3 point shooting average of 46% followed by Steph Curry at 45%. MJ's 3 point average going into the last season with the Bulls was averaging 41% as a 3 point shooter. He developed the 3 point shot because the game was changing. Saying MJ couldn't adapt to this era's insane 3 point game is a misconception. With his 2 point +1 strategy he'd still be racking in 40+ per game easily especially since just looking at someone is now a foul in this era.
Great reaction bro, I love Bird he had little physical attributes but boy did he utilize them to the fullest. If he hadn’t had all the back problems his stats would be greater and this generation seems to only care bout stats. MJ is Bird with all the physical attributes, and man did MJ utilize them to the fullest too. To be the GOAT you need to play both sides and bring an excitement to the game and do it throughout your career not just a couple years here and there. Bird and MJ would rather play a close game, being down by 1 and have the chance at the end to take a game winning shot, I don’t see that from players today at least not the top players.
I feel as though prime Bird is as good offensively as Jordan Bird just did it differently but what seperates the two is defense. And that is a pretty big separation to me.
Bird is 4th in my list of THE GOATS.the main differences between MJ and larry (which was truly a legend) is MJ'S unparalleled Set of skills and abilities.when it was time to do something that is humanly impossible michael was at the top of that category, an element that allowed him accumulating points at truly impossible situations.so as I've said once MJ is a super hero while the rest are humans with different levels of skill.and beside his stats i don't think any player on earth could have endure AND SURPASS the bad boys pistons with their assassin plan designated for a single player.not even larry bird.
Jordan was an average 3-point shooter at 33%>>>the league average during his playing days with the Bulls....fact.. So inn today's NBA, he'd be just as good of not better than everyone else because he's so competitive... He chose not to shoot threes because he didn't have to.. He could score on ANYONE at ANYTIME.. Peace!!
Yo dont take this as disrespect pls..but how old are u? U said u watched Jordan as a kid? I been watching nba since 1983, MJ the best I've ever seen. I any team sport
Cavaliers #3 is Craig Ehlo... He was the one that tried to keep MJ from hitting The Shot...
This 69 point 18 rebound masterpiece by MJ is the highest "Game Score" in history with a rating of 64.60
