Hey guys!! So refreshing to hear about different education system from your perspective and I totally agree selecting your stream only after you start college is a bit too late and as you know in India we select initial srream of choice at 11th standard which I feel is actually sensible as students atleast know their aptitude if they can sustain the pressure of competative exams specific to fields which we given even after higher education ! Also ,not sure if you are aware when the lcokdown started in March 2020 ,everything got online and the Education ministry was actually under way in preparing the NEP -New education policy .My mom is school teacher in CENTRAL SCHOOL or KVS as it is called and the new policy was implemented beginning 2021 session and exactly what new age young students needs its all being implemented ...including exposure to new age technologies and media at primary and secondary level of education ! And every one can say its not all good and agreed ! But we have atleast started somewhere and already can observe changes in young students and their parents approach towards education .And to be honest its a bit taxing and overwhelming for the actual teaching staff ,I have seen my mom really struggling untill all the new policies and operations are fully optimized , it will be quite chaotic to understand but atleast we have taken a new step towards that which is the most important step !Thanks again for your podcast ,its always a please to listen to you guys .Stay healthy and happy 😇
gen z in India are growing up in a conservative India, millennials of India grew up in a liberal secular India up until 2014, Indians who do their schooling from secular private schools grow up with liberal values and western entertainment in addition to just Indian everything. Christian schools excel in this along with some rich private non-Christians schools, but with internet now even conservatives can grow up with western entertainment minus the liberal values, however most of them start late and it shows when they can't relate to old school references and easter eggs in western music and movies.
So For you, adapting Western Culture is Growth & Believing in Indian Culture is Conservative Mindset?🙄 I don't think so..I think We just Need to take good things from Thier Culture 🤷🏻 Being Hip hop Fan & Making Boyfriend Girlfriend isn't a definition of Modernisation 🤷🏻

No i understand what is going on with Modhi, I didn’t really mean religiously secular just more so culturally secular. For instance, women are getting more rights, and seem to be a little more free spirited than they were 10 years ago. Also, things like the rise and popularity of Desi Hip Hop is another demonstration of secular and western culture mixing with Indian culture. I think the world being so globalized now especially in the entertainment industries, this will naturally happen in all countries to some degree, regardless of any leaders push towards more right wing religious ideologies. It’s a good thing for everybody I think, globalization brings us more together opposed to separating us by religion, politics, etc.
It was so easy for me to choose what I want to be because I always inspired to become like my dad and am working for it but it must be hard for people like Charlie to know what they want. My best friend was also confused but now she has somewhat idea And listening to Drew dudes education was interesting 🤔 💜💙🤍
