Whereas I go in with a plan to be stealthy, then get detected and mostly just go with it. That's my version of "stealth with high chaos"... just stealthing badly.

You see him start choking somebody, but before they’re out, he throws them over the ledge, which stumbles a watch guard in front of another, teleports down, and the stumbled guard is now in front of another’s sights, who shoots and kills the body-stumbled guard

Imagine a game where you fought someone capable of all this. The ai programing would be stupidly complicated. But imagine if they pulled it off. You'd have next to no chance of winning but if you did.
@@Guardian-of-Light137 ai programming is not a thing. You either a set program or you're a machine learning algorithm. It also isn't currently possible to program something like this, because this is creativity which isn't really a metric that can be defined.

That type of stuff is possible and pretty much the same thing you're talking about but less showy. As long as the metric for success can be well defined, AI can learn pretty well, it just takes a longnnnnnngggg time to do.

It's crazy to think that with Corvo's skillset, powers and reputation, this could be a realistic representation of what he could do.
That's why in both non lethal and lethal playthrough in Dishonored 1 the final bosses are just suicidal by depression they know he's unstoppable
As crazy as it sounds the skills can be improved even further than this! Ofcourse I don't claim to that guy but it's certainly possible. One can even go on a killing spree and speed run the game.

This was one of the best areas in the entire game for me. I got spotted and chased through the streets. Had no idea there were as many interiors as there was, so when I was able to run down alleyways and through houses, maybe bump into other enemies then go back down into the streets, slide under attacks and keep running, eventually getting enough distance and jumping out of a window at the top of some stairs and hearing the guards stomping around the house looking for me as a hid on the roofing below was fucking exhilarating.
Turning corners, seeing more guards, turning back to face the ones chasing me, sliding under their attacks and attacking, parrying then running again (Mirror's Edge style) through houses and jumping out of windows, using abilities to scale outside of buildings and get to the top floors... fucking loved it.
I get the same feeling watching him play this game as I get watching an amazing magician perform magic tricks. The creativity and the excitement of what you're going to do next had me entertained all the way through.

This game really is one of a kind. The amount of times I’ve been doing whatever in real life and catch myself thinking “Damn I wish I could just stop time like Corvo or use Corvo’s blink right now” in my day to day life is kind of embarrassing.

IIRC you must have a bullet upgrade which will allow you to ricochet bullets

7:28 That NPC literally stumbled off the ledge? I had no clue how many creative possibilities this game has! I am the total sneaky type of gamer without harming anyone - which takes ages (what I actually love). But maybe next time I will try to create total chaos just to see what is possible.
Imagine peeking through the blinds of an apartment, terrified, watching Corvo clear this courtyard in seconds.
Worst of it all? You're probably not familiarized with how the Outsider's powers work, so the fact you have no freaking idea what's going on or why all these people are dying in such messy ways makes it even more terrifying.

Stealth did say that it takes him hours upon hours of retries and studying the map to know where the enemy placements are

He does, but Dishonored is a life sim and so has far more complexity and creative opportunities than those other games.

In the meantime, watch DraQu's Ultra Nightmare playthroughs (highest difficulty is Nightmare, Ultra stands for one death=you lose mode).

Absolutely insane choreography. It's not only the skill required to execute those moves so flawlessly, planning and practicing the whole thing is also on a completely different level. It's stunning.

@@markphvm the writing was good but the game needed a bit more flavor story wise, the plot goes on exactly like it's expected, no surprises or notable climatic points tbh, at least the first part had some plot twists that made the story a bit unpredictable and overall better, however gameplay wise Dishonored 2 is easily one of the best games ever made, I haven't played a game in my life that gave me so much freedom in how I can approach and finish my missions, such a gem

I feel like in world this is corvo’s actual level of skill and how the character is intended to be portrayed.

My type of runs are to just buy shadow kill, then go nuts. I gave uo the idea of a stealth playthrough so i now just go in guns blazing.
